Correct me if I'm wrong Kage, but unless you geas the magic loss through bioware, you still lose the full point.

So two dice of IA or two dice through bioware.

Now, the two bioware enhancements would stack on top of a maximized IA: handgun, so if you don't mind losing a point of magic elsewhere, it could work.

well if your dodging bullets theres a problem, best to try and dodge the gun.

also, since there is no spoon, then you can dodge whatever youd like

But IA only costs half a power point, so all you're losing is one off of the maximum number of levels you can have.

Which, reading on, you already realize :)

Maybe if you were already moving by the time the gun went off, then you could possibly not get shot, in which case the problem isn't necessarily how fast you're moving, but whether you've timed it properly.

If you have enough time before the impact and are just falling, you can get out of the way pretty darn fast.

It's the starting-to-fall-in-time bit that's tough.

Did anyone else think it was funny that he was described on the thread title as "real life gunslinger adept"? Like adepts really exist.

Guys, keep in mind that a laser sight with vision magnification 3 (retinal modification, scope, enhanced sense) becomes just as accurate as a smartlink/range finder at medium range and beyond, with the exception of called shots on a smartlink-II.

S/M/L/X
2/3/3/5
3/3/3/3

Add attunement, and adept gets a base target number of 2 at all ranges, which is better than a smartlink in non-called shot situations. And there are adept powers to help with visibility modifiers -- thermo, night vision, blind fighting, maybe ultrasound -- which are generally superior to the cyber equivelent.

One other exception -- smoky/misty environments. :)

It's amazing how almost every thread, ever manages to weeble-wobble it's sad little way towards a sammies vs. adepts debate.

there's a debate? I thought the adepts were the obvious choice all the time. :rotfl:
