QUOTE (Rokur @ Oct 13 2004, 09:48 PM)
Tanka: Sorry about the book thing, i forgot to mention that i don't actually own a copy of Sota... so if you want something really really bad, give me a description and stats, and if i approve it you got it. Mostly anything sanctioned by FASA/Whizkids for 3rd ed. is fine by me

Mmk. I assume no Beta/Delta/Cultured. If not, let me know.

And I could so use that Cerebral Booster, too...

Edit: I just read! Hey! So as long as we have a Street Doc contact of reasonable skill in acquiring and installing, rightio.

I didn't notice that someone else wanted to make a face, but that's fine by me. First of all, we might not both get picked so ... yeah that's that.

But even if we have two faces.. who cares ? I think it could be quite interesting. You can have crazy infiltration plans with two faces. The group has access to so much information through all the contacts, and you will never be out-talked by a Johnson. My character is somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades and has ALOT of skills through skillwires and all. I think that two faces in a group is not optimal but it sure could be a lot of fun :)

What's the opinion of everyone on the fact that a group could have two faces ?

Well, Antonio, the Cat Shaman, is a face character... life of the party type. However, it's certainly possible to have two different face roles... for example, one is more for introductions (fast talking, negotiations, good looking and knows it type) while the other is for long term, or maybe one is more light hearted while the other is better at intimidation.

The group I'm currently GMing for has a face/medic and a face/B&E adept, and they've had a good time double-teaming people. You never know when it will be useful to have two people who can talk when needed.

Hopefully I'll finish tweaking my char and transfering the background from my mind to wordpad tommorrow. But as for rolls...my char is a sorceror adept, with a fair amount of combat ability (Fireball, stunbolt, chaotic world, and improved invis amoung others)

Gonna have to withdraw my FlatTop McGraw character, he got accepted into the game he was created for after someone else dropped out.

Yeah, my character isn't really that much of a Jack-Of-All-Trades, he's all about negotiations, and guns to back him up if that goes to hell.

Y'know... I rethought... I'm heading the direction of your stereotypical stupid, barley-willed, ugly, hated ex-ganger Troll.

Why?

It'll be fun!

I'm gonna give my Troll some SURGE. If you aren't allowing it/it isn't time yet (as I don't have YotC handy and am only fairly certain that it occurs before '63), let me know and I'll renegotiate some of the points.

Oh, and his name is Frag. Expect a lot of "WHAT?!" when you swear. :P

My character has some Face skills as well, but its mostly that he is a club hopper kind of guy. Seriously, it is NOT bad to have overlapping Social skills.

As an aside: I believe SURGE occurs in 2061 - haven't read Year of the Comet in awhile.

If there's room left, I am thinking an adept investigator who specializes in astral investigations. I'll probably make the character later today.

Mmk. Doing some finalizations. (This may be the fastest I have ever made a character, complete with contacts and background. Yay for stupid Trolls! :D)

Of course, he's dual-natured, so that could be interesting.

I'll get a character sorted out over the weekend. I've not decided what kind of character to send yet though.

Just putting finishing touches to "ballerina" before she's sent in. Since everyone else seems to be going magic , face and ganger, she's a rather ....unusual sammie I keep meaning to bring out to play. :cyber:

Just one quick question though, I have given her enhanced artwinkulation(cue boos from the crowd) but I fully expect this to have no effect on combat skills (Its more for the bonus to her electronics-fu and the pip of essence), is this ok ROKUR?

Why? By the book it gives you the bonuses, why would you not expect them?
