I use Pink Floyd, Alan Parson's, and Spiro Gyro, not only are they good, but they have enough darkish songs, and I don't like lyrics interrupting my game. And there are alot (Especialy from Parson) who have songs, that while have lyrics, fit SR perfectly.

STYX - Mr. Roboto ... Nice for japanophile sammie-types
[ Spoiler ]

Duran Duran - Wild Boys ... Could be Torgo's hymn
[ Spoiler ]

Pet Shop Boys - Opportunities (Let's make lots of money) ... Isn't that what all runners want to do?
[ Spoiler ]

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Warriors of the Wasteland ... Quite dystopic
[ Spoiler ]

Genesis - Domino ... Dunno why exactly ...
[ Spoiler ]

Genesis - Just a job to do ... Isn't that what all runners say about their job? ... In this case however more for the "Hero"-type

I'm surprised no one's mentioned what is possibly the single most obvious song from the 80's.

Flock of Seagulls - I Ran

"Here's the hum of desperation, here's the test tube mating call, here's the latest carbon cycle, here's the clergy of the mall, here's the witness and the victim, here's the relatives' remains, here's the well-known double helix, here's the poisoned waves of grain, here's the song of shear and torsion, here's the bloodbath magazine, here's the harvest of contusions, here's the narcoleptic dream, Here's the hum of desperation…"
