Okay, this is going to be a pretty traditional run in it's scope, ideas, and general layout. You'll be playing your average street scum, nothing too fancy. Most of you will probably be out for the extra :nuyen: up for grabs with this. This may even continue on to more runs, or break up after the, or even during, the first one. That's entirely up to the players.
Date: Oktober 13, 2063 Character Generation: 125 BP, Priority, or Sum-To-Ten Normal 8 Availability, 6 Rating, Cultured Bioware allowed Books Allowed: Shadowrun 3rd Edition Shadowrun Companion Magic in the Shadows Cannon Companion Year of the Comet SotA 2063 Man and Machine Anything that isn't in those books or SotA 2064(Which I don't currently have) is possible; we'll see if we can work something out. Custom stuff is on a case-by-case basis, and a reason how you came about obtaining it is preferable. I'm looking for a decent background and personality. A small amount of karma will be awarded to the best of each. This doesn't mean I want excessive, 10 page bios however. I'd also suggest putting at least a little bit of effort into contacts if you plan on using them. Players have until 11-11 to turn in sheets, I'll be accepting the best sign-ups, regardless of how the team would normally work out. I'll leave it in your hands as to how to complete your mission. TXT, RTF, HTML, or XML formats preferable. Send submissions to Hemlok@gmail.com |

Seems cool.
You have a fairly comprehensive list of basic SR books with a conspicuous omission...is Man and Machine available? Since most bioware comes from that and you mentioned CB is allowed, my guess would be you just left it out... I'll be in with a troll melee tank if and only if CB is allowed. |

Can I get delta-grade cybereyes even if it isn't within the Avail limit?
Beleive it or not, I really need the .02 Essence that spares me. I'll have a backstory reason for it... |

I'm only a novice on the decker rules, but any chance to learn them better is a good one. As for the eyes, finish up the background and I'll think about it.

So lets just say I wanted to play a Social Adept, a la SOTA: 2064. If I broke down the powers for you, and included the description of them all, would that be kosher?

If you can get me all the relevant rules, then it'd be as kosher as a Rabbi's son's bar mitzvah.

Excellent. I'll have some typing to do, but I'm thinking I'll be presenting you with an ultra-slick, smooth criminal type soon.
And this finally allows me to realize my vision of having a use for a character with Urban Exploration, if only for some reading I've been doing lately. Didja know a Lone Star just hates when you cross into corp turf... it's even more annoying when they're denied jurstictional leeway... |

My understanding was that jurisdiction was such a pain for all involved that most of the time it was whoever had the guy in custody that got to decide what happened to him, but I guess I'll have to reread that since it's been a while.

If you'll have me, I might try and submit something soon. I've had a hankering to try my hand at a Conjurer again, so I might go that route. I don't know for sure... I might go with this cool Drone Rigger/Tech Wiz idea I have, too. Just giving you a head's up like the others so you won't think nobody's interested. :)
Out of curiosity, do you have a preference or prejudice towards more professional runners (dressed in black, bland features, disappears into the crowd) vs. more colorful ones (like in the art)? |

I'd prefer them to be professionals in the attitude, but to be the generic mindless killer level of professionalism just gets boring. Not saying I condone utterly ridiculously characters that have no place in the shadows like Sushi-K, but an army of trenchcoat killers would get pretty dull.

How new of a character do you want? I have one with 125 BP + 22 Good Karma.
One of his firearms is custom. As far as a story, I've just kind of made up a startup minicorp based in Seattle that manufactures original designs and scrapped R&D projects that are worth selling. I use it for any character that has a custom firearm. I use the CC rules. |

He looks like he could crush a small car with his bare hands. He moves warily but not with the characteristic twitchiness of wired reflexes. He has a circular scar in the center of his forehead. Personality: Tiny is a force of nature, supremely self-confidant and disdainful of lesser street samurai who think their wired reflexes will let them get the jump on him. He can wrestle grizzlies, punch through concrete, and survive an anti-tank missile...and knows it. He's a lot smarter than most trolls, but knows to leave the brain work to the specialists. History: Tiny is a living legend, a former ganger who was a fixture in London's seedier parts for nearly a decade and a half. While not a leader, he outlived four of his bosses, and during that time gained a fearsome reputation for his stellar performance in gang wars...overcoming three-to-one odds, taking full clips to the chest, and destroying veteran gangers in single combat. Eventually, however, despite his unnatural longevity, his rep got too damn hot for his own good, and he was caught in a sniper ambush without a long-range weapon...and was forced to charge flat-out for nearly a mile across a busy street to get to the _#$()@ sniper. After that lovely incident left him with a nice little memento (see appearance), he decided to go to Seattle to try and lay low for a while...and there, he discovered the shadowrunning scene, so much easier to find in Seattle then in London. It pays a hell of a lot better then gang work, at least. |

Just a few nitpicks from a quick view of your sign-up. Quickness should only be 8, so you either have 2 more BP or 25k to spend. Fineblades are essentially already dikoted, so I'm going to have to call that you can do so again. Don't think there's a Mnemonic Enhancer level 4. You can't have a Rating 8 Antidote patch. I'd recommend getting the decoagulant necessary for having a platelet factory unless you don't mind the side-effects. Otherwise the numbers look pretty good.

I find forums much more enjoyable than IRL groups. More dedicated roleplayers, and more time to think about actions ( hours instead of minutes) leads to less CLUE and SLEUTH material, and less wasted time.
