I didn't really think about ruthenium. The nuyen and essence costs kind of put me off. However, looking at it, that's a pretty good idea. I'm going to have to mess with cyber a little but I like where this is going.

Also, we now might see amusing situations like this.

Runner A: "Aw man, the run's fragged! We gotta get outta here!"
Runner B: "How can you tell?"
Runner A: "Jack just took off all his clothes and is pretending to be the wall."

Sphynx, query: You said that there really isn't going to be any role for a rigger in this campaign. Is there any reasons for any of the characters to have a car at all? I now have about 100k extra, with which I could get a decently modded Americar. However, if there isn't going to be any need for characters to drive themselves anywhere, I'll put that into more skillsofts instead.

Nu stats here:

I too was out of town from my last post up until just now, with strep throat to boot. If I post what I already have done, would you be willing to consider it?

I'll consider any character, and am ok with the ideas Sparky sent to me, but no promises at all. It would have to be one heck of a character to make it in now.

I'd like to put a word in for Morgannah.I don't think she has posted her character yet, but she's been very busy away from home doing the holiday thing, and I know she was excited about the game, and has put quite a bit of effort into chargen.

Ehhhhh, considering I still have ¥130,000 left to spend on him, (riggers take forever I swear) and Sphynx has said that it needs to be exceptional to make it in... I am getting discouraged from even finished my character to submit it, simply because why spend that effort just to get turned out.

I'd suggest dropping some nuyen on a couple of Renraku spider drones. Good for covert infiltrations, small, and 12k :nuyen: a pop.

Theres a good chance I'll end up doing a few custom micro drones instead, but with the same general goal in mind.

Well, I had expected a couple of the not-yet-accepted to work a bit on their chars, but guess they felt they wouldn't make it, and I'd counted on about 8 players and have 6. If I don't hear from any of the others who had already posted stats within 24 hours, I'll accept Chance, ES_Sparky, Tarantula, and Morgannah as possibles (assuming ES_Sparky and Chance post their stats by that time).

Working furiously... chargen is a long process for me. I think you'll be pleased with what Tarantula, Morgannah and I are cooking up. :)

Lets hope. But man, that was a really annoying couple of days. Had nothing to do at work. ;)

Happy new year to everyone, maybe the forum should have a new years resolution, not to go down for longer than an hour ever again.

Tarantula, my thoughts currently:

A vehicle rigger won't fit well in the game scenario I have planned (picture Atzlan jungles, that's a hint, and why I have discouraged having Deckers ;)). So, my recommendation is save money/skill levels and drop all the car stuffs (or you'll be greatly disappointed in-game since it'll feel like a waste of points and cash). I'd go with a more DroneRigger. Later in-game you might pick up the 3 vehicles (and some car skills if you so choose), but for now, I think a relative "army" of small drones (and by small, I mean micro and mini, not small) would make you as a player happier. Something else to think about, how to "recharge/refuel" whatever you bring with you in an extremely urban environment. Solar might be worth alot more than in normal settings. :)

New Years (that's only hours away), if characters aren't posted, they don't get in. I need at LEAST a week to go over, work with, and create stories before we get started. If you don't have it ready by then, I can't consider the character at all.
