Since you said 'everything' came with us through the jump... we have a Bison sitting with us as well?

Don't point things out like that to the GM until it's too late to take them back. I'm saying that Jack had everything assembled into a single heftable pack so that he could get it wherever he needed to go while they were setting up. It's about sixty pounds worth of heavy, but you don't want to be trying to juggle three suitcases and a duffle bag while attempting a fighting retreat from the Reach Fuileach (hence why he also had SMG slotted. Not really time to change chips in a fight, and when trouble came calling, they probably weren't going to call ahead of time. Also, it'd make precious little sense to wander around with an SMG, and no SMG skill).

I looked up the rules, and it says that Active Skills could only support another active skill (in rare cases). I didn't see anything about Attributes.

Is this a house rule we're using then?

QUOTE (Sphynx)
Ok, starting new threads today.  I'll be making 3 threads in total, an [IC] [OOC] and [CHAR] thread.

IC posts should not begin until the 9th and should be formatted in such a manner:

QUOTE

InCharacter description of what the character is doing, and what he has done/thought/etc.  Do not hesitate to add your own character's view on the previous post.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Initiative (Not your roll, I roll the dice): 2d6+4
Offense: 7 dice (4 from unarmed, 3 from Combat pool)
Defense: 4 dice (4 from Combat Pool)

Weapon Damage: 4M
Ballaistic/Impact: 5/3

<or if not in a combat situation>

Etiquette: 4 dice
Resistance: 5 (Availability) <Could also be Open for Open Tests>

<or for a spell>

Casting Dice: 7 <5 from Sorcery, 2 from Spell Pool>
Drain Dice: 7 <4 from Willpower, 3 from Spell Pool>

<Etc, fewer calcs I have to do, the better my posts>

Description of what exactly I'm trying to do OOC.

CHAR thread should only have 1 post per person, ever. Put your character sheet there, and Edit it whenever you get Karma. There should be a seperator at the bottom of the sheet for what you've spent Karma on.

The OOC thread is for anything at all EXCEPT IC stuffs.

Most important thing to remember is that you should do your best at the bottom of the IC thread to make sure I don't have to go looking over your character sheet repeatedly to find out what you need to roll. I take a 30 minute break every day, purely for the purpose of writing the next part of the story, the more time I have for IC, the better the story. :)

Sphynx

I'm pretty sure the answer is there.

That's not all that clear to me... We only state the number of dice we're using for any particular test, and Sphynx rolls?

My impression is that all but initiative is ours. I didn't make my rolls yet - wanted to see how the 'parley' came out. Poorly, I see.

Sphynx - what did scanning the ceiling for spots to grab hold yield? Anything? Rebo getting his face chewed off (or just moving towards Big Nasty against his will) is definitely grounds for Slinky to launch into her plan. So...

Rolling of Dice: My job, just say what you'd allocate.

Snake Eating Rebo: Astral Perception shows the imagery of the snake-headed monster. Those without the Perception see a worm-skull. There is no snake eating Rebo, but from the astral side, it did look like one of the Astral Snakes gulped Rebo for a split second.

Shedim: Does your character know what a Shedim is?

Ceiling: The ceiling looks like old style cave rock, and the flickering torchlight in the room makes it difficult to see what's what that high up.

SR3 pg 171: Assensing. Intelligence is used for the test, with Aura Reading acting as a Complementary Skill. The Complementary dice are rolled against a TN of 4, with 1/2 the successes counting towards the Assensing test (provided 1 success is made on the actual Assensing test).

ES: No clear hand-holds that you can see.
Lindt: Their Aura looks human enough, though admittedly warped a bit and all with umbilical cords that seem attached to the wormhead.

Lindt: you can't use spell pool for Conjuring, SR3 P.44 under Spell Pool.

Sphynx: I'd like a torough (well, as much as a Complex will give me) of the room very much including but not limited to possible escape paths. How many zombies, anyway? How far from us?

He knows as much about Shedim as the next guy, I.E. a nasty, recent, kind of spirit that inhabits dead bodies and does the whole zombie schtick. They can't be much of a secret, since governments have been encouraging everyone to cremate their dead specifically because of Shedim, and places like morgues have been upgraded to keep the dead confined, just in case they do decide to go walking.

I'm a little fuzzy on events post 2062, so I'm not sure how much he's ever owned up to that fact. It seems like a rather unpolite topic to bring up in casual conversation too (and not just because he's our boss. There's that whole 'teeth as big as my head' angle to consider too).

*edit*
Does anyone know if you get the +3 power bonus for full auto when laying down surpressive fire?

BackGammon, you spend time counting the cadavers, and you count 32 total, 32 includes the ones that have fallen (only 5 are dead, leaving 27 to go through)

Lindt: 1 success on your conjuring, but it's a warped spirit, almost toxic.

Shedim: If you had to guess, you'd say these could be Shedim, if any of you have actually seen a Shedim from the Astral, you know they're not.

Sandoval: No, you don't get the +3

I figured the barrier was there, because of the hermetic-style designs. But I had to try.

Shucks, I didn't think you did, since I was pretty sure the +3 came from the fact you were pouring all those bullets into one space, instead of fanning them out like Jack did, but it couldn't hurt to check. Also, the 'shedim' thing from Jack was just internal monologue as he was trying to assess the situation before he went la-la. "Walking dead? Uh... shedim do that, and I'm pretty sure if you shoot them enough they stay down. Think I better test that out."

*edit*
Just double checking, but Jack got two bursts off right? (I think knowing whether or not I blew through 10 or 20 rounds is going to be important at some point).
