I was thinking about getting GT4, but Burnout 3 looks like a better buy. Have you played Burnout?

yeah its very difficult, but it's really cool when you crash. the crashing makes it hard, but if you don't want a racing sim then I'd go with need for speed underground 2 of wait a few weeks a get the third one. But GT4 is by far the best racing game I've ever played, with the exception of the Ferrari F550 arcade game but only because it has a clutch.

Isn't the crashing was one of the selling points of Burnout 3? Yeah, GT4 looks pretty sweet, though. Theres something like 200 cars in it, right?

To my shame, I don't really play as many racing games as I ought. We do have a nice setup for NFSUG at campus though. A THX-certified cinema (wonder how the Center For Telecommunications institute explained that away) with a bigass subwoofer installed under the front and center seat along with pedals and wheel. :)
But mostly my temper's more in wrecking them than racing them. I miss good ole' Destruction Derby 2 |

So, we are now waiting on Jet and Sebastian to get back/catch up with the time line as almost everyone else has tied up their IC time to allow them to do legwork. Did I miss anyone?

Cool, this game has a lot of potential (don't they all) for some cool scenery and I want to get to that.

Voorhees there are 650 cars and 100 tracks according to the case.
I'm going to go tell Jet what's what with the REX. |

Voorhees - just an aside to Jet - There won't be any rematches if he loses THIS race...

If you keep going like this your going to need to roll an interogation test if you have that skill, I'll check. He's a nice guy when you get to know him.

Mmmmm... McGhoul rib sandwiches.
Damn you Nikoli, now I'm hungry! :P By the way, since we're members of IARC, does that mean we get free/cheap track access? Maeva'd be itching for a chance to do a few laps or make a try for a local record on a drag circuit come sunset. |

Yeah you guys get free access not that regular track access is much anyway probably 20 nuyen anyway(if it's worth as much as a dollar is). You'll need your passes, they haven't arrived at the HQ yet(one of you should roleplay the delivery) but I'm sure that could look you up or something.
Umm as far as the circuit track goes I'm going to use the seattle circuit the run indy cars on, it's in gran turismo 3 and 4 if you have it and can check the layout if not I'll try to find a track map on the net. The drag track is a standard track with the ol' tree(the white, white, yellow, yellow, yellow, green) standing proundly at the starting line. You might get a category record in the corsair but definately not a track record, the run top fuel cars monthly. Oh I almost forgot, there is a car show tommorow, game time, and they team might consider dropping by, who knows there might be a lightning rider or two, or at least someone who might know something... |

If he hadn't told Johnny that he wouldn't fight him, Jet's knife would already be sticking out of Ackham's face.
I might not post for a while. I'm debating whether or not to race him on his terms. |

Aw, but some of us are waiting for this to be resolved so time will move forward and we have a reason to post again. :P Until your little scrap is resolved, Maeva's still snoozing at the garage.

Umm I know he doesn't have the common sense edge, but I feel it's paramount to advise you NOT to race him on his terms or period. Fight him, shoot him, just don't get in your car and hit the 1320 with him unless you borrow Maeva's car, you'd stand a better chance of defeating a gang of trolls unarmed. Just a suggestion.
I say this for the sake of the game, it is starting to drag a bit since it's pretty much you and I mono e mono right now. |

Besides, we need you to report back.
Otherwise we gotta find his name all over again, what car he drives, and where he gets it worked on. |

Yeah, I know I wouldn't race him. The bike I have doesn't go all that fast unless I nitro it. So I think I'll just let him go.

Yeah, Jet will kill him later. I was going to have him make some kind of vow, but I didn't want to seem overtly hostile.
