If you want more than 1.0 Essence worth of options in Cybereyes, check out Independent Cybereyes (M&M p. 16)

You can put your Eye Lasers in the back of your head.
Or your low-light vision in the Eyes on your Chin.

Eye replacement: .2 essence, can hold .5 options
Additional pair: .5 essence, can hold .5 options

You can also have one pair as Alpha, and the other as regular. Some options are too expensive to pay for as Alpha (e.g. Retinal Duplication).

How do you get natural Low Light in Cybereyes? Or are you suggesting that people get that entire list implanted in normal eyes?

That or Night Vision edge as a freaky side effect of getting cybereyes implanted.

On the topic of white noise driving you nuts...

I have had something like that for as long as I can remember and can remember having it 35 years ago. A noise like having the tv on after the station has quit broadcasting, only a bit higher pitched. Almost like little bells getting rung extremely fast.

Probably tinitus. You happen to hang out on artillery ranges or rock concerts a lot perchance?

Neither. I can remember having it when I was 8 years old, and it has been there constantly. I really notice it when it is quiet.

No loud, constant noise exposure back then. About the only abnormal thing I did around that time was swim about 5 hours a day.

its possible you had some sort of ear infection and didnt even know it that caused it. for some reason i want to say that theres a common bacteria in ponds/less cared for public water areas that can cause things like that.

The sounds that were afflicting torzzzzz's character may not have been simple white noise. It could have been ultrasound frequencies that cause nausea, dizziness, etc, thus the Willpower tests imposed by the GM. Regardless, I'd say a Select Sound Filter rating 5 would be good enough to block out most of the deleterious effects. And for Cyberears, you could probably just shut it off, although the Ultrasound tends to affect the inner ear (which isn't replaced by cyberears, unless you have a balance augmenter) and cranial nerve rather than the external ear.

Thanks for that i will know for next time!!

Almost all screens make this little sound, many people don't notice it, and few grownups (loss of extreme hi and low frequence hearing when you're old), but it can be pretty annoying, if there's no other noise around.
It's not white noise though, i think it's just very faint hi-frequency sound.

As for being locked up in a small room with a powerfull white-noise generator, I'd go pretty mental in there very quickly.
