Okay, I am going to say that Winters shot does not hit close to Erebus, so Ced dont feel compelled to return fire.

SR 13 you are taking a 3 round burst, of lethal rounds. Soak or Dodge, damage is 12D (I suggest you dodge you will need 4 successes to Dodge).

Dragon, soak or dodge a 12S (3 successes needed to dodge)

Erebus, you are now in hand to hand, give me a roll, the Bartender is trying to garrote you. You need 1 success to not take damage, two to turn it around, your TN is 4.

Shadow- I'm assuming you want us to post our rolls and what not first before telling us what happened as a result of Dragon's shots? Or did I just miss everyone? :(

Specifically, what happened as a result of the shots at Goon B?

Dodge: 13 07 04 02 = 3 successes. Man I love my dice! They honor all the rituals I have done to enchant them! :D

(Unless it was TN 5 from BF, in which case I'll use karma)

Reroll 1: 07 03 and then I will have 3 successes for total dodge.

EDIT: I am an idiot. In retrospect, I would've had a lower TN AND a better chance to soak AND looked a hell of a lot cooler just standing there and taking the shot. If I had yelled, "FORTITUDE!!!" while doing so, would I have got bonus cool points? And I would've saved myself a karma point. Blast! It's been way too long since I've played a character who could actually take a hit. :( Grr...next time, think first, THEN roll.

Wait, is the TN to dodge 4 or 5 Shadow?

Base = 4
Per 3 bullets from BF or FA = +1
Total = 5

Sorry SR13, just trying to be honest with the GM. :(

Turn order. We can resolve Erebus at anytime so no hurry there. Tenmou is up, unless you die.

Okay, I'm going to feel like shooting at Dragon unless I actually get hit by a bullet to help avoid inter-player conflict but remember Erebus doesn't know any of you and when I see a Guardian lipping flame and bottles bursting over my head I'm not going to be terribly thrilled. However, as my character is busy right this moment I doubt he's going to be interested in returning fire.

Unarmed combat 5 + 1 enhanced articulation + 2 combat pool dice TN 4:

1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 5 :( HOLY CRAP! :(

That was terrible, spend karma, slap computer monitor, shut down Irony Dice Game Roller and re-open.

Karma reroll:

1, 1, 2, 4, 4, 5, 14, 15 Aaahhhhhh, much better. Pet monitor, Good computer, good computer.

Ced your welcome to post the turn about if you want to. Basically you were able to fend of the attack and hit him a bit. He is hurt but not seriously.

On the note of that: remember it's perfectly fine to scream and yell at Dragon later (or even during!), you can dislike him, hate him etc etc et al. It's true we have a thin (but clear line) in regards to inter-PC conflict so even though we're in a tense situation in which I agree it's perfectly logical Erebus wouldn't take too bright a view of the situation, we all need to remind ourselves to be cool.

Heh, I'll admit, I felt like shooting Tenmou when he butted into Daedalus and Dragon's conversation with Vinnie and started this whole blasted mess. :)

And this is a great illustration of why we have the thorough and clear guidelines, because it is quite reasonable that after we finished with the Mafia, we'd go after each other! The joys of planning for potential problems ahead of time. :)

Thanks again for the roll Sedna.

I apologize if this in any way, shape, or form, felt like a backhanded slap or insult to you. I was attempting to establish with Cedric that I (as a player) understand how or why Erebus might feel hostility towards Dragon, but also realizing that he as a player wasn't taking anything personally.

In a similar way, Dragon the character may not feel thrilled with Tenmou, but I the player have nothing against you. I apologize if it came across as a shot at you OOC.

I thought it was cool, and a nice variation on the standard heavy pistols. It would have been cooler if I could have remembered what the little handle thingy is called on the front of SMG's.

QUOTE (Sedna)
It is?

Sedna, I think it would be very reasonable for Erebus to start capping at Dragon. Think about the situation, Erebus see's all hell breaking loose a jumps for cover. He see's Dragon begin shooting, remember this is all happening extremely fast, and one of Dragon's first shots breaks bottles within inches of Erebus' head. Erebus has no idea who this runner is, Erebus is generally paranoid that his past is coming to get him in the first place, and the situation felt like a set up from the very beginning(which it turns out to be, thus justifying Erebus' paranoia).

Erebus is likely to react by shooting at everyone and everything that threatens him and running for the door at the first chance he gets. With all the bullets flying around and everyone shooting there isn't going to be time for a detailed analysis of the shots, merely the sight of the guns pointed in your direction.

Now in the present circumstances, Erebus is busy enough trying to deal with a relatively angry bartender who seems to be somewhat territorial about who's behind his bar, so he's probably going to forget one random shot in his direction so long as the bullets don't keep coming, but if the bartender had dived for cover instead of attacking then the only person making hostile moves toward Erebus would have been Dragon, and he'd react accordingly.

I think WinterRat's statement that it would be "reasonable" for us to go after each other was very accurate. Not going to happen, but still reasonable.

I just couldn't help cracking up at this. :)

It's ironic, but that's exactly what I wanted him to do instead of attacking anyone, particularly Erebus! (I was thinking he'd pull a shotgun from underneath and fire at you at point-blank range, but the garrote was a very nice touch Shadow! I was having Godfather flashes in my head) If Dragon had succeeded, he would've marked himself for Erebus's hostility, despite his best intentions. Lucky me!

If I see one more "error post deleted" in the IC thread.... No karma for you!

Tenmou is up next and I think we are waiting for him. I believe everything that was pending resolution is done. Of course I am out of my mind with pain so I may be wrong.

Shadow, sorry about the Error in post, I ended up with two thirds of it posted there and then a double post. How would you like me to fix that?

Cedric

P.S. I hope you're feeling better, trust me I understand being sore, I spent the weekend doing SCA fighting and have bruises enough to spare. :D

Society for Creative Anachronisms (or something)

They dress up in olden clothes and walk around speaking in old english. I can't remember if they are the branch that demands fanatical devotion to time period correctness.

Arrrgh... I'm having internet issues. I'm at a friend's machine with none of my character notes at the ready.

The second I have access and my SR stuff, I'll make my body test and action (provided I live...)

It's looking like Tenmou is going to have a short career... :)

WinterRat, no worries. No insult taken. If it wasn't for Tenmou's commitment to being on time, he would have held back... but the Johnson told him 21:00 sharp...

And now I need a trip to the hospital... ;)
