At Gun's signal, the man with the briefcase moved forward, his partner staying at the vehicle, situated behind the open passenger-side door.
As the man got close to Gun, he could begin to make out the features of the man's face. Cracked and crevassed with age, and with eyes set deep in their sockets he had almost the look of a corpse rather than the old man he was. Unsnapping the latches on the briefcase, he opened the topside to reveal neatly arranged stacks of certified cred. Setting the open briefcase on the ground, he addressed Gunther while producing a pocket secretary: "Now if I could see the chip?" |

Staying cool Gun walked forward, keeping ht eman between himself and his shotgun amred partner.
"Here you go." He tossed the chip to the man. "Get the money," he motioned for Jaque. |

The man snapped the chip from the air, smoothly inserting it into the P-sec. In moments, the faded blue glow of the Psec's display shone accross the old man's face, accentuating every crag and mark on it. They could faintly hear the recording they had made as the man played it back.
Satisfied, he snapped the device shut and stepped back from the case so it could be retrieved. "Payment in full, certified." He motioned to the open case on the ground. |

"Jacque, head for the van. I'll be right there."

Concentrating on watching out for any stealthy activity in the area, Jacques is a bit surprised when Gun addresses him. Well ok then.
He reaches forward and takes the case from the gentleman. Expecting Gun to head back to the van with him, he's a bit surprised when Gun tells him to head back alone. He slowly turns his head towards Gun with a rather quizical look. Wonder what he's up to. Without a word spoken aloud though, he gives Gun a slight shrug and then heads back to the van. Simultaneously, he sends the mental signal to his cyberears that jacks up his hearing amplification. |

"So, our business is concluded?" The cragged-faced man asks Gun. "If that is the case, I will be leaving. Was there anything you wished to pass along to my employer?"

"Yeah were done."
Gun stars backing up slowly, keeping his eyes on the other men. |

The old man brazenly turns his back to Gun and steps calmly away. If the team had intended to hurt him somehow, he certainly didn't seem worried about it. Approaching the sedan they drove up in, both men get back in and shut the doors before driving away.
As Jacques got into the van with the money, Hank drew in a fresh breath of relief. So much about this run had gone bad...it felt like he had not gotten to relax and breath for ages. Shooting a smile to Corsican, who had the case in hand, Hank stepped out of the van after the contacts' sedan was long gone to give a hand to Ludi. It was a little wet out and she was still wounded, no need to risk a nasty spill off the crane just now. |

"And that is as they say, that."
Gun smiled at the mans retreating back and turned away. He hopped in the van and waited for the rest of the team. "Lets divy this up and call it a day." |

As Jacques gets back into the van, he breaks out his eletronics toolkit and gives the case a quick once-over before opening it.
Afterall, it's only paranoia if there aren't actually people out to get you. |

During the whole exchange, Ludmila's finger had held it's position steadily. If she had to take a shot, she'd have to be sure of her aim... The targets were rather far out for the compact submachinegun. Best she could do would probably to simply spray the area with as much bullets as she could and hope to hit something.
Fortunately for her, that moment never occured. It seemed, strangely enough, that Stone had kept his part of the bargain. Once she had the all clear from her teammate, she slid herself down the ladder and to the wet pavement. So much for an easy bodyguard job... Ludi haddn't been home in over a week, and had silently cried in her sleep numerous nights. Lana... she missed her deeply. But now that the job was over, she could finally go back home. For a few minutes, seeing the cold hard cred in the case, she was taken up by a feeling of euphoria. The nuyens were good, and she was still breathing. The only loose end to tie up was Alec. Mikhail wasn't aware of his turning, and he would probably not be pleased about it. She would call him... tonight if she had to. "Well, gentlemen... I believe this is were we each take our share and part ways." |
