You can still use cash to karma, per original character generation rules. Just keep in mind that doesn't increase karma pool.

Just realized I'm going to need a quick background update for everyone.
Assuming you have 6 weeks between the end of the last run and now, what has everyone been doing?

nick, I also need a slightly more detailed background then what I have. Personality, family, friends, ethics, why are you ex-Salish, etc.

BACKGROUND:
1) Where's your character from?
An Amerindian tribe in the Salish-Shidhe Council.
2) Does your character have a family?
Yes, but he hasn't seen them in years.
3) Does your character have an ethnic background?
He's an Amerindian, but that is only obvious because of the way he usually dresses, due to the fact he's an albino.
APPEARANCE
4) What does your character look like?
A tall, thin but well-toned man. His legs have SURGED to become like those of a wolf, and his skin has dermal deposits like those of a troll. Faint lumps can be seen under his skin where his bone spurs jut out from his bones. It is obvious to anyone with astral perception that he is dual natured. His skin and hair are as white as snow, and his pinkish red eyes glitter with his wry intelligence.
5) What does your character dress like?
When he's not on a run, he usually dresses in either traditional Amerindian garb or in a stylish business suit. When he is on a run, he is almost always clad in his suit of heavy military-grade hardened armor.
6) Does your character have physical quirks?
His magic lets him alter his voice and the shape of his face at will.
SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES, AND RESOUCES
7) Where did your character learn their Active Skills?
He learned them in the training program for the Salish-Shidhe special forces unit.
8) Where did your character learn their Knowledge Skills?
As above.
9) Where did your character get his goodies?
He was issued them as a special forces soldier for the Salish-Shidhe military.
10) Where does your character live?
He lives in a loft in Seattle, and maintains a number of safehouses around the Sprawl.
11) Who are your character's contacts?
Cresent-Moon-Rising (level 3): last surviving member of the Salish Special Forces team Howling-Wolf was a member of.
Hooting-Owl (level 1): A shaman and talismonger that Howling-Wolf maintains a business relationship with.
Knozone (level 1): The fixer who has organised most of Howling Wolf's team's work in the past.
Haxx (level 1): He went on a few runs with Howling-Wolf, after the team's rigger and decker died. He specializes in information gathering, on and off the Matrix.
Grimwalde (level 1): The armorer who supplied the rogue specop team with equipment once they started to run the shadows.
Mortarion (level 1): Street doc who did some work on the team following the entry to the shadows, mostly in the areas of fixing up their wounds, but also a bit of implantation work.
12) Who are your character's enemies?
The Salish-Shidhe government is trying to track him down so that it can charge him with treason.
13) How did your character learn magic
When he was thirteen, he was got lost in the woods and stranded away from his family and tribe. As he wandered around the forest for days, he got more and more exausted, cold, and hungry. In the peak of a snowstorm, he saw a wolf, covered in shaggy white fur approach him. To his surprise, it began to speak, telling him to return to his tribe, and to protect them. When he told the wolf that he was lost, it replied "Are you?" before disappearing into the snow. He decided that he wasn't going to just sit there and die, and so he set off into the snow, leaving behind no trace of his passage. He discovered his senses were sharper, and when he smelled a hair and killed a hare, he discovered his reflexes were lightning fast, as well. Several days later, when he eventually stumbled back to his tribe's camp, and he was discovered to have Awakened to become an adept. When he tunred 18, he decided to take Wolf's command to protect his family to the next level, and decided to join the Salish-Shidhe military. It was quickly apparent to his superiors that he was destined to be more than a simple foot soldier, and was transferred to the Special Forces unit in short order. He learned much in the unit, initiating multiple times with the help of the other adepts of the unit.
PERSONALITY
14) What are your character's likes and dislikes?
He dislikes bright sunlight becuase it burns his skin. He likes good food and good companionship. He enjoys learning new languages.
15) What is your character's moral code?
Never betray your friends and team members. Never retreat from a fight you've started, so plan your fights carefully so that you can win them. A fight isn't over until he's dead or the opponent is defeated.
16) Does your character have goals?
Earn enough money to retire, and raise a family. Meet a girl to start a family with.
17) Does your character have personal beliefs?
He follows Wolf, and reveres his ideals. Organizations like megacorporations or nations deserve no loyalty or respect, but the people in them might.
18) Does your character have personality quirks?
He knows bit and pieces of various languages, and when he swears it might or might not be in English.
RUNNING THE SHADOWS
19) Why does your character run the shadows?
Because he can earn large quantities of money easily with his current skills, and it's really the only job he can do now.
20) How does your character view his/her role as a shadowrunner?
It is a job. Nothing more, nothing less.

Pretty good, but it still doesn't asnwer the question as to why your supposedly highly loyal and obviously expensively equipped and trained spec-op's unit went rogue.

I'll read up on the facial scuplt and have an answer for you within the next few days.

Winterrat - I know Iblis is using her money to start a Changeling Community-only Rave club in a 4 or 5 story warehouse. Hiring bartenders, security, DJ's, that sort of thing. I assume most of the other team is out doing things like that, purchasing lifestyles for years ahead, and getting specialty gear, mostly independantly.

Buying high force magics, taking the Third Circle and several members of Extassis out for a night on the town and embracing the needs of the third circle to make in-roads into the Second Circle.

Since we are having a slightly prolonged downtime session, I'm also spending an evening with Carvaggio to catch up and talk. (The "once every month or two" talk)

Jake has also been helping out at the club with some of the costuming.

Nameless has been pursuing his quest of vengeance, and probably deepening his relationship with Steel, since they're kinda in an odd place right now, but since they have similar goals, they probably spent most of their time either together or working towards fulfilling their goals separately or in coordination.

That and training like mad. Oh, and recovering from surgery for cyber/bioware. All that should easily take up a few weeks.
