Ok, mark off 14 for your taxi. I fast forwarded the mundane stuff. It takes a long time to play on forums without roleplaying some of the pointless stuff. If there was anything you wanted to do in between that stretch, tell me and we'll take care of it.

it's just my thought. that is deck hand shouldn't have that much say if someone wants to see the captain. on a normal boat there isn't much of lvl's of authority, normal on one that pick up deck hands at every port to fill up spots, it's the captains word and then everyone else's. So i wouldn't have thought i would have go that much trouble from this guy, but i guess he's being the aka security man on the dock.

Precisely. OOC: Knowing they have their crew filled except that one slot, the captain puts a deckhand on the pier ramp to wait for the guy they're expecting. The captain is busy making sure they have all their cargo, the manifest completed properly, works with the navigation officer to ensure a course is plotted correctly ahead of time, is receiving weather reports ad ice drift reports, etc, etc. He certainly dosn't want to be bothered by just any dude, so he puts a deckhand out there to screen "visitors". Also, this has the (more important) benefit of preventing people from coming out and messing with the cargo they just unloaded, and acts as a measure against stowaways. This is south america after all.

true but if a guy says the captain is expecting him and asks to see him i would think that would be enough to get him to take him to the captain. the deck hand is taking his job alittle to seriously i think but some people do. and Koe is having to deal with one witch is fine.

Qill, When you're ready for the voyage, let me know. I'll need 8 intelligence rolls + a list of everything you want to try and do throughout the voyage. It will be 8 days+8nights, but you're on-call 24-7.

Clim, Let's see some rolls and drain to ignite that baby, then we'll get crackin'. Unless you have something else in mind.

Better yet: Explain to me what actions you're taking to "prepare for battle"?

Ok here I go. I’ll write some question and general stuff I’ll be talking to the crew about and put my rolls up front.
How many people are on board?

Rolls
[ Spoiler ]

Ok the questions:
Koe will be trying to get to know everyone before really starting to ask too many questions.
Where are you from?
How long have you been working on this boat?
How many times have they been to Halley base?
Have you ever spent a lot of time there?
Have you ever gone anywhere else in Antarctica?
How did you get there?
Do you know of any rental places in Halley’s base?
Do you know of any equipment stores?
What’s the town like? Any nightlife? And daytime fun?
Are there any bad areas I should avoid?
Have you heard of any unusual things happening there or near by?
What kinds of industry do they have there? Mining? Tourist? Fishing?
What kind of cargo does this ship normal transport? Have you transported anything unusual lately?

Might add some more questions after I get some answers.

Clim, Here is the order of battle:

Justin - 25
Scarred Man - 21
Young Companion - 18
Giles - 14
The Girl - 9

I'm just waiting for dialogue to end, and it's in your ballpark now. Besides that, you have initiative, so hell, you're calling the shots all around right now. What's it gonna be?
