I've got no problem with your style, Sphynx, I think your posts are well thought and well written. I can see where it might have been possible to have handled the situation differently assuming that Miho appeared on Grendel's sensors, but in all honesty if he had detected someone attempting to stealth their way into the hangar under cover of rutheniums he would have assumed it was a hostile intent on compromising the team and dealt with the perceived threat directly. Also, I did feel that it would be changing a little bit of the spirit of your post had I written it that way. In the end, I think it was handled as well as it could have been.

Listen Spyhnx, I didn't mean to offend you, for that I am sorry. Raven is a pro, and you were playing your character, I was playing mine. I felt that you took a lot of liberties by just assuming you would have been able to sneak up and into the hanger. For one Hangers often only have one or two entrances. Grendel had deployed a sensor net and had two npc guards. You just assumed you would be able to sneak by them and didn't give anyone a chance to spot you. You just wrote that you did. That's poor etiquette. And it rubs me the wrong way. I think what you were trying to do was cool, just how you did it was wrong. If this were a table top game I am sure it would have gone much smoother, since in table top you can never 'just do things'. You have to clear it with the GM first. You should never take liberties with other peoples characters. You shouldn't put words in there mouth or tell them how they act in your post. Just like you shouldn't post that you do something (like sneaking up on someone) and assume you would succeed. Does that make any sense? I don't want to argue, I just want you to see my POV (even if you don't agree with it.) So I say we all let it go and move on with what could be a great game. |

FYI: I just got informed that I'm "on site" tomorrow, so may not have access, since the site is located 500+ kilometers away, and I may have to stay over. I should be able to post Saturday.
And Shadow, it wasn't poor etiquette. It just isn't your etiquette. Sphynx |

Alright alright; lets just stop all that before it goes downward. Personally, I don't see any harm in anything that happened; just like Grendel said.

For a final word, I'm GM and in my optinion it was poor etiquette, otherwise I wouldn't have said as much when I saw the post in the first place. Now... drop it. I'm sick of people bickering about it.

Mister Juan: In your last post you used Shadow's name, but the character is Raven. :)

The Concealment should add 4 (the spirits essence) to all target numbers to detect the skytruck.

Grendel: Do me a big favor... rather than use Red for transduced speach, please use Orange or Yellow. I'm red green color-blind and in order to read your posts I have to highlight them so the coloring goes away.

Grendel: alright, this is where I go and say "I don't have Rigger 3" ;)
Everything your character said I understood, but I've got no clue how the rules go about that stuff. My best guest would have been a computer (maybe programming) test, maybe with some sort of plus or minus depending on the information Grendel gives Leblanc (I'd say a bunch of plus since he's got very precise stuff... but hey, I'm not the GM around here :P) |

Transducers use Orange from now on.
Juan: You're going to do a Decking test, I'll give you a -1TN because of the info Grandel gave you. I'm not going to have you do a complete data run, just give me one Decking skill test (throw all your hacking pool at it too) and I'll tell ya the outcome. |

Juan: Just waiting on that Decking test from you.
Everyone: Once we know that your decker has cleared the flight plans, I'll bump things foward to you all coming together in Corpus Christi. |

Damn sir. Any delays are definitely understandable. A life time friend of mine is going through that same stuff right now.
Focus on the important things, an hang in there. |

Overwatch: hahaha! Yea, I thought you'd have a pretty hard time finding that out ;) It's actually a very local alcohol made in Québec. It consist in a mixed brewed of mapple syrup based booze, hydromel and canadian whisky. If I'm not mistaken, its about 32%, hits like a tone of bricks and has a very smoked ( a bit like some scotch) and sweet taste. Its great ;)
Ecc: What about the other thing with the "fake sensor"... the last thing Grendel asked of Leblanc. I understand perfecty what he means, I'm just not sure what to roll. Computer / Decking [ Spoiler ] |

For Electronics Warfare, you roll Electronics (Electronics Warfare specialization if you have it).

That means I'm stuck with my basic electronic (and for some reason I took Diagnostic as a specialization..... why did I do that?)
Need one now? If yes: [ Spoiler ]

Grendel: You remember Wraith from the game that Blue ran a while back. He was an adept, B&E pro, face, and master of disguise. A while back his contact network got big enough he went Fixer/Johnson, but tends to be more involved than most Fixer/Johnsons based of his experiance.

Chris gets the flight plan fixed and keeps the plain under the radar (with the help of the spirit). I'll bump you all to Texas tomorrow.
As for the data package, basicly you have a full history of Dr Martin, her husband, their daughter and the daughters bodyguard. I'm still working out all the details, but I'm in no mood to work on things right now, so it'll have to wait. |

All good, all good.
Does Chris do the whole decking run straight from the plane? Just curious (and looking for a topic to post :P) |

You do it right from the plane, SatLinks are cool like that. Go ahead and make your own post for the decking run, the roll was just to see if it was successful, your post can be light or as full of fluff as you want it to be (and knowing you, I'll be able to make a bed out of the fluff).
Once Juan has his post for the decking done, Grendel can make his post for landing in Corpus Christi. Wraith will be waiting there for you. |
