McQ - Can you give me a clearer answer on their foci? I was looking for any foci, and expecting weapons, not only looking for weapon foci.

Sparky--They have no foci.
Shadow--You'd soak 10S impact if you just jumped out of the truck and it would drive until it stopped or hit something. |

Ok, I was thinking the crash could be a great distraction.

The crash would be the "hit something" part of my earlier post.
You're fine for the handling. |

Delaying until they move. If they move for the door, we will stop them, bodily. If they attack, we attack.

Moving day starts today. I won't have internett access most of the day. I should tonight though and I should be able to get caught up on most of my threads tonight. If I am holding up the game feel free to make a GM call and have my character act without me.

Sparky, they are attacking. I need 4 opposed melee tests as well as attack rolls from the watchers and Herne.

Sorry, I keep meaning to ask in my lamer-I-don't-know-SR3-at-all way... what do I roll for opposed melee (for everyone)? Or you can roll it. I trust ya.

4 tests, each test consisting of dice equal to your Melee skill (and in this case, plus weapon focus rating). You can add as much combat pool as you like, but keep in mind you're rolling 4 tests in the same phase, and the pool is not going to refresh until the next combat round, and there could be up to 4 combat turns in this round. Additionally, you'll be rolling your skill again when your action comes up to attack them.
Their attacks = 4 rolls + Your attack = 1 rolls x 3-4 phases = 15-20 combat rolls before combat pool refreshes. And that's assuming you don't take the +2 modifiers per opponent to attack more then 1 opponent with each complex action. Could be upwards of 24-32 sets of rolls per round if you're doing that. Your base TN is going to be 4. You have two points of reach, which you can assign to either reduce your TN or increase their TN by +1 per each point of reach (assuming they don't have close combat, which they probably do. If they have close combat, your reach bonuses will be negated). The second attack to come in will have modifiers for friends in melee. Effectively, you'll have a +1 to your TN, and they'll have a -1 to their TN. This will increase for each additional opponent until your allies can act to actually engage in combat. So, the 4th roll coming in is going to have a +3 to your TN and a -3 to their TN. Information you need from McQuillan is whether or not they're using close combat, because that will modify your TN's and decide whether or not you'll want to use karma. Personally, my suggestion is to spend whatever you can in the first round or two to try and kill them outright. The longer the fight goes on the worse it's going to get for you because all your allies but Herne can be dropped fairly easily by a skilled combatant, and they're you're only way of negating the massive "friends in melee" penalties. |

Hrm...sorry, I guess you missed the part where Fuer'yon turned his back on the combat. My apologies, I should have made that clearer. In response to your lack of control of your emotions and the way you lashed out at him, Fuer'yon has decided your on your own for the moment.

And for future reference Sparky, your Hearth spirit should have had a combat pool of 6 dice, and a karma pool = to the number of tasks it had when you originally summoned it.

I included the combat pool in the soak tests for the Hearth spirit, though it did not excessively use its karma.

My apolgies, I meant that more as a note to Sparky, since all of this was done to try and teach her the ropes. I didn't see any mention of the pool or karma used, so I wanted to let her know, for when she starts handling all of this on her own.

Rolls for Gellawyn shooting out the window.
Reaction test for quickdraw: 14 13 10 10 05 05 05 05 05 04 04 04 03 02 01 01 Plenty of successes ;) Centering against penalties (running, TN 8 - 6): 13 09 04 04 03 02 All successes, so penalties are reduced by 3. First bow shot at window with Ex arrow (TN 4): 07 05 05 05 05 04 04 03 03 02 01 01 01 (7 successes) Damage: 14M Window has a barriar rating of 4 (adjusted rating of 8 ). Power of attack is twice the adjusted barrier rating, so for every 2 points over base barrier rating a 1/2 meter hole is opened (2.5 meter hole) and the barriar rating is reduced by 1 (total -5), barrier destroyed. Second shot at ghoul with hammerhead arrow at nearest ghoul (TN 6): 09 09 08 05 05 05 04 04 03 03 02 02 02 (3 successes) Karma: 11 09 08 05 05 04 03 03 03 01 (3 succsses) Adjusted damage is 11D + 2 successes (stun) |
