If I remember the third edition rules correctly, Fast Talk is a specialty of the Negotiations skill, with a TN = INT score of the target. I have 4 dice from Negotiations, 4 dice from the cultured pheromones, and a +3 to my TN from the sustained spells.
Fast Talk (Negotiation 4 + Pheromones + 4, TN = INT +3): 1, 1, 2, 5, 1, 3, 4, 3 Bleh. Karma #1: 1, 8, 2, 4, 2, 4, 3, 5 I believe that's one success, assuming an Int of 5. If the Int is 6, no go. 1 success if Int = 4 or 3, 2 successes if Int is 2. |

No contributing karma, unless you have a team karma pool which is for things like sharing karma.
If you'd like you can cut him off and start talking yourself. There may be some social modifiers, just like on the Fast Talk test, but you can choose what you'd like to do. |

Alternatively, Sparky, if you have physical mask or Improved Invisibility, you could take over the work I'm doing on maintaining one or more of the three spells. That would drop my target numbers and make a difference.
However, you really need to be able to hit 5-6 successes to guarantee nobody see's through it on a lucky roll. If you can't do all three, don't worry about it. 1 or 2 doesn't drop my TN's enough to matter ;) |

I got nothing.
No Fast Talk, no useful spells. Just a wicked-mean whip that I'm scared to use. :D Can I feed Herne karma to heal him? |

I just got this absurd image of Herne doing a Scooby move for karma treats! :rotfl:
Bumping us to keep current. So I assume we take the Templar to Doren at this point? |

Basically Sparky, you'll have to cast heal if you want Herne to heal. If you don't have it, or don't take care of it in the next few moments, Fuer'yon will do it.
Assuming we're past the crowds and out in the open streets again, I'll drop the spells, cast Mind Link on Gellawyn, have her take over sustaining the spell, and cast Mind Probe on Ulik with Fuer'yon's help. That work? |

At last we have reached the precipice.
With the Mind Probe and a list of questions, I will start up the next leg of our journey. Look for an OOC thread coming soon for character creation and background info as we take the next step and switchover to SR4. |

Thanks for keeping this monster going and giving us the option of converting over to SR4. Many thanks!
I'll see if I can get Fenris/ to post the questions at the end of the weekend. Speaking of the actual questions, was there anything specific that Edana was looking to get asked/answered? |

Less then useful when questioning a religious zealot willing to die for his cause 'cuz he believes it's "right" ;)
Okay, so, Mind Probe rolls and questions: Casting Mind Probe: Centering for extra successes, assuming a Willpower of 6: 5, 9, 3, 10, 5, 2 (2 successes) Mind Probe (Force 6, Sorcery 6 dice + Spell Pool 7 + Fuer'yon 3 vs. TN 6): (Karma once, first rolls generated no successes) 2, 4, 5, 10, 5, 9, 8, 4, 4, 1, 3, 4, 4, 4, 8, 1 (4 successes + 1 from centering) 5 successes Questions: 1.) Why was he trying to silence Bishop? 2.) What are the church's current plans and goals here in Seattle? 3.) Who are his contacts within the Templars here in Seattle? 4.) The names of any known Templar sympathizers, contacts, informers, etc here in Seattle. 5.) What does he know about Edana and her parents? Obviously we reserve the right to ask more questions should it become pertinent ;D |
