Lol, well first you need to tell me the answers to the questions I posed initiall in this thread. (i.e. What are you looking for in Stuffer Shack, What mode your commlink is running in, What gear you have with you, and a Perception Test roll).

On the roll:

Do you still use D6s?

As to what he's looking for: probably the equivalent of a Starbuck's cold frappacino

And commlink: Passive mode

You can if you want to. As soon as HMHVV rolls his perception test (and gives his character a name), I'll post something IC for him.

Then comes the fun, as all actions will abruptly be interrupted by something.

On him, Crosshairs has:

-His Lined Trenchcoat
-2 Colt Manhunters
-2 spare clips each for the Manhunters

As for the Perception test:

6 dice, -2 dice for distraction:

3, 4, 4, 5

Don't know how many successes that translates to.

That reminds me. Since this was just a little shopping expedition, Rydell wouldn't have her Predator on her; just the Stun Baton and Yamaha Pulsar. She leaves work at home. :)

Actually, the team has been out on the town all night and just stopped here to get some 'stuffers' before heading home to get some rest. Specifically, you had been frequenting some shadow haunts trying to drum up some business because you're a relatively new team and haven't had a job in a little while.

So Rydell probably would be carrying her Predator.

And it's not that Crosshairs woke up early, its that he has been awake all night. Also your Enhanced Perception power gives you one more die to roll for the Perception test. I went ahead and rolled it for you giving you an additional success.

Just posted something IC for everybody. I think that is enough for a late night/waking up in the middle of the night post. I wanted to leave you in suspense :)

I'll post just what the it happening is once I get up in the morning.

Edit: Guess I woke myself up too completely in posting earlier. Oh well, so I lose a little sleep and most of you don't get to experience the suspense. I've posted what's going on IC.

Now it is time to roll Initiative. Roll your Initiative attribute (Reaction + Intuition). Then add the number of successes to your Initiative score. (i.e. If you have a reaction 4 and intuition 3, you roll 7 dice, getting 2 successes which you add to your Initiative to get an initiative score of 9.)

Then tell me at least a rough idea of what you plan on doing, it doesn't have to be combat oriented, but I figure most people will be doing something along those lines.

Init:
[ Spoiler ]

Rydell is going to try to quietly calm Ms. Needles and her kid and herd them safely to a rear exit. Try to keep a couple innocents from being caught in the crossfire. Her hand will stay close to her (still holstered, so as not to freak the civvies) Predator in case she needs to pull it and blast something.

[ Spoiler ]

Taking cover back in the candy aisle, ready to draw her Manhunter if the baddies decided to follow her. But anyways, she's taking a look on the network to see if there's any cameras that they might have missed, and if a call has gone out to Lone Star yet. (what's their response time hereabouts anyways? If any :))

My description of relative position have been a little bit lacking I suppose.
Right now, Rydell is probably only about 3 meters from the cash register, and thanks to her hidden Urban Brawl skills, Mrs. Needles and her kid are about 10 meters down the aisle from Rydell.
Crosshairs, you're at the end of that same aisle standing next to the refrigerated section. Mrs. Needles and Louis (her kid), are about 5 meters away from you and headed right in your direction.
Taku You are about 6 meters North of Crosshairs and Static (the crazy guy with the shotgun) is about that distance down the aisle you were just passing.
Tempty you were just coming out from an aisle about 6 meters from the double doors the troll went through and about 7 meters from the ganger chic, Zany. Close to 20 meters away from the counter where SlicerDicer and the three new comers are/headed towards.
Zelda, you are one aisle South of Tempty, at the end of it. so About 3 meters south of Rydell and maybe 8 or 9 from Zany. About 16 meters North of the counter where Wanda, the cashier, is being threatened.

Oh and the dwarf store manager, Mr. Nick, is about halfway between Zelda and the cash register. And the stockboy (Johnny) is at the other end of the aisle Tempty just came out of.

[ Spoiler ]

Taku's first action will be to grab a credstick or his wallet and approach relatively quickly the shotgun wielder, hoping to take him by surprise. "Here have my money I don't want to fight you." Then as Taku comes close he'll throw or hand the wallet to get the surprise to attack swiftly with his free arm with a rough blow to knock the shotgun off his grip (no use deadly hands if not necessary, although use of critical strike). The second action will be to either pin the guy if he's still dangerous, or take cover if danger is rather coming from other gun wielders.

Let me know if my actions are allowed and what I should roll for them.

Remember that is the guy who was talking to the toaster oven earlier and he doesn't really seem all there.

Actually, I'll go ahead and tell you this. From his stance you would probably say he is more guarding the toaster oven behind him than threatening you.

I'm going to wait for everybody to post initiative before saying anything else, but those actions should be just fine for when you get your turn.

With that in mind, I will likely act differently, or at least focus on a different target. It's more gonna be "Here have the toaster, I don't want to fight you." and actually not fight him ;)

[ Spoiler ]

Tempty is going to pull her pistol and put a hole in the ganger girl. I don't recall what type of an action it is to throw up her wired reflexes, I heard someone say it was possible to do regardless of who's turn it is, not sure, and I don't have my pdf with me at the moment. If it can't go up before her turn, she'll activate it on her turn.

It'll give her 3 initiative passes I believe. She will target the girl to bypass any armor (-x to dice pool where x is armor level).

7 (agility) + 8 (pistols + Spec) +2 (SmartLink) - (targets armor)
Would that be right? I think the dice above 1.5x Skill are allowed to offset penalties, but I'm not sure.

Turning on your Wired Reflexes is a Free action. You can take one Free action on your turn or later in the Initiative Pass, but you can't use it before your turn comes around.

QUOTE

The 1.5x Skill only comes into account when adept power, cyber, or magic enhances the skill rating. Smartlink and Specialization enhance the dice pool not the skill. At least, that is my interpretation of it and that is what matters since I am the GM.

QUOTE

The targets armor doesn't come into account in the initial Opposed Test. So it doesn't affect this first roll.
After we determine the net successes from the initial Opposed Test, we compare the armor and then I do damage resistance.

You will suffer a -2 modifier because she has partial cover from a counter-top island between her and you.

But we will get into all of that once I have everybody's Initiative rolls.

The targets armor does come into affect if your trying to bypass it though, doesn't it? Isn't a -X dice from your roll to avoid hitting armor in the rules? I don't remember if it was known as a called shot or not, but I am pretty sure its one of the options, I think the other option for a called shot was -X dice from the roll +X to the damage value.
