I just got word that things are going to get ugly at work for the next month or so, so go ahead without me. I'm already in 10 games, that should keep me busy enough for now.

10? You're crazy.
Well, any other takers?
Grey
Mar 1 2004, 09:10 PM
Yeah, I play in 9 and run one on top of that.
Nikoli
Mar 1 2004, 09:11 PM
Ouch, and I thought I had a "problem".
Grey
Mar 1 2004, 09:13 PM
Its only a "problem" if you let it get in the way. When I have work to do, I do it. When I have time to sit around, I play Shadowrun.

I meant just wantign to play all the time, that's all.

Verijgorm is one of the ED horrors.
I was thinking I'd pay the 25 points and not get spells. You know, I have the Talent, but don't know yet.
I'd want a rebate for my 25 spell points though.

In his defense, I can pronounce "Yggdrasil" (and spell it correctly on my first try)
Large Mike

a) Yeah, I can pronounce Yggdrasil too. Aint it grand?
b) no selling spell points. Sorry.

Hmm, your words on complicating things intrigue me. I wish to learn more about your thoughts on the subject.

I vote he has the spell points, could even pick out 1 or two low force spells that might be considered latent talents that happen at dramatic moments, and just use the points later as though it were CharGen.

Mar 2 2004, 12:37 PM
I might be interested in joining. I have two charcters drawn up. A Combat Shaman (Wise Warrior) and a Dwarf StreetDoc/ Face. Either of these sound good for your game LargeMike?
Large Mike
Mar 3 2004, 03:27 AM
Helper: That'd be great except we're looking for normal, average guys. Faces, street docs, and combat shaman are all shadowrunners. That's absolutly what we don't need.
Nikoli: Realize that the spell points that come with the priority are the kind of thing that full on shadowrunners get because they've been badassed for a while. I can't just let you make a random leap ahead in badassery in the middle of the game for no apparent reason. Sorry.

Fair enough

Mar 3 2004, 06:26 AM
Then at least give me a rebate or something. I mean, it's going to be bad enough paying a bunch of points and not having any of the abilities that come with it.

If only I could find a niche.
Large Mike
Mar 3 2004, 07:37 AM
Dude, you do a pretty awesome modern-honor survival-of-the-fittest trog. It's very samurai, in it's own way. And if you can make a drunken violent trog loveable, you don't need a niche. You rank in my top ten all time favorite players.
Also, the rasta was well-built, well researched, and well thought out, even if he didn't have the time to be well played.
But is this really the place to be talking about this?

Sorry been dribblin' for a while, I'll mail you over a char and see if there's still room afterwards.... I kinda fancy making the character now anyhoo *8->
Large Mike
Mar 4 2004, 02:41 AM
Then send me a character DH. You too, Cal. I'll put them in a tiny room with one knife between them and see who comes out.

No actually, it mostly depends on who gets a character to me first.

No, I just have a psychological disorder where I require validation from others.
Large Mike
Mar 4 2004, 05:12 AM
Consider yourself validated. You may now park here with impunity.
Also, someone gimme a character. Now! NOW! NOWNOWNOWNOWNOW!
Post-haste, please.
If I don't have one by Friday morning, I'm going to call the whole thing off.

Mar 4 2004, 10:31 PM
Johnny Jett and the Blackhearts (sorry, bad joke) are approved. That fills the roster up. I'll start the OOC and IC threads tomorrow morning.
Since you all have been working with each other for at least a bit, everyone should probably introduce their characters in the mean time.

My character is Gino, a fat dwarf, one of the truck drivers of the company. He knows a lot about cars and trucks and serves as a mechanic when the vehicles have minor problems. He is a proud man and most of his pride lies in his very nice, bright red, convertable sport car. He comes to work with it every morning with the top opened and loud music playing. Most of you think that he is too old to go out and to act the way he does; he's only 42 and ugly but he acts as if he was 22 and handsome. When there are good-looking women nearby, his attitude changes slightly and becomes quite unpleasant, often both for you and the women in question! You know that he likes to watch combat biking and car racing. Overall, he is still a good guy, quite interesting to talk to.

Whoever just sent a character to me at my email address and titled the email, 'Your character, sir', I'm sorry, but you've missed the deadline by mere minutes. Also, your character has no backround. With me especially, that's even more important than the stats.

Sid Rowden - Nick's cousin, he's young, didn't go to college, and he dresses like a mean punk with a green spiked mohawk and a studded leather jacket, but he's actually a pretty nice guy. He lives in a crappy loft apartment that always seems to have people in it. His girlfriend currently lives with him.

Cyril Terwin, former schoolteacher. After goblinizing, he was fired. The excuse had to do with his pants not fitting an orc...
He is stuck working at the company doing physical labor.

Jimmy Krane. The ever-loving Blue - eyed orc. Lifter, singer, sculpter your basic triple threat. Born an orc, in the barrens. Lost family to either gang violence and ghoul related incidents.

Johnny Jett, fresh out of college, punked out rebel type. He's working tech at the company, though he hates being a tech, he insists his talents are wasted on it. He arrives to work and leaves on rollerblades, and decked out, using the washroom to change all of his peircings, and get into more work acceptable clothing. He's got a pair of subtle cybereyes, which look real save that the pigmentation is actually an electric blue and silver circuitboard pattern. In flagrant disregard for corporate policy, his hair is electric blue, and he refuses to wear a hat.

Party started up at my house friday morning and looks like it won't end for some time yet. Sorry, but be patient.
I don't host (or for that matter go to) many parties.

Trust me understand. Been a while since the last spontaneous party, but when they happen, it's best to just go with it
