Full Version: Matrix Notation

How will matrix systems/hosts will be mapped/described in the upcoming SR4 adventures?

I mean, in SR1 and SR2 we could draw the system (CPU's, SPU's, SAN, DS and SM) in full color with their rating with an sheet that told what IC could be encountered in each nodes.

In VR2.0 and SR3, we could write the system rating/ACIFS, security sheaves and a short description of the said system.

What about SR4? What format will it take in published adventures? What about home-made adventures/campaigns? What about adventures that we want to publish on the web?

Perhaps we should start making a template for this?

Mhmm, the four attributs (response, system, firewall, signal) Progs running on the system, ic on the system an progs the are running etc.

Example:

Moderate Node (maybe LoneStar Subnode)

Response: 4
System: 4
Firewall: 4
Signal: 3

Running Analyse 4

IC:
Track 3 / Track 3
Attack 4 / Analyse 3, Attack 3, Armor 3
Attack 3 / Analyse 3, Attack 3, Armor 3 (on Patrol throw 1D6, 5,6 the IC scans the Runnerīs Persona)
Track 4 / Track 4, Analyse 4, Stealth 4
Blackout 4 / Blackout 4, Analyse 4, Armor 4, Stealth 4 (really hard wink.gif )

Just a idea. Maybe a security Hacker or Sprites of a Security Technomancer.

What are you meaning by the "/" in the IC listing?

And this would be the equivilent of a low-grade Orange host in the jargon of previous editions?

What I've been wondering about is how would the Matrix attributes of the new system translate into the old color-coded system? Something like this maybe?

Blue - average rating 1-2, running 0-5 rating points worth of IC
Green - average rating 2-4, running 6-15 rating points worth of IC
Orange - average rating 4-5, running 15-30 rating points worth of IC
Red - average rating 5-6+, running 31+ rating points worth of IC
