Why does having an implanted Sim Module hot-sim modified cost you .2 more essence?

Hmm... maybe I'm reading it wrong. Is a hot-sim modified sim module an entirely separate thing from a sim module, so it's .2 essence for a hot sim modified module?

I don't think you need to get a sim module and then a hot sim module. It's one or the other. The book is unclear in its formatting
