This is my 1st post here so please don't throw tin cans, rocks or tomatos...
I am currently working on a SR3 Crib sheet for my players so they don't have to continually look into the SR3 book for the information they require often. I have done a similar thing before but for 3.5 D&D.
Now being that I read a lot here but never give input to threads (I am normally a bit of a lurker) I thought I'd give a bit back with my 1st draft (And eventual final copy of the SR3 Crib sheet.)
So I invite you to have a look at
THIS RIGHT HERE and fire me some feedback. If you notice a mistake in the data please yell out. If you think the layout could be better, Please offer your advice. Once I have finalized the layout I will make the PDF and Publisher versions available.
Simply print the document as a double sided document, laminate it (or place it into a A4 clear-leaf page protector) and with a simple white-board marker you'll never forget how much damage you have taken or forget the various combat modifiers again.

Okay, let's see...
First thing I noticed is the condition monitor. Honestly, that looks... clunky to me. I'd prefer it were arranged horizontally, not vertically. Also, your overflow monitor only has 12 boxes. A Troll can easily get over 12 boxes of unmodified Body score. Maybe you should add a few more?
As a phsyical object to have printed in your hands, it would be handy. (Personally, I'd suggest putting it inside the A4 clear-leaf page protector - print them on two different pages of paper, and insert a piece of cardpaper between them to lend it stiffness.)
As a computer aid, it'll be handier. I'm a gonna havta save this pdf.

This is similar to 2 of the 3 panels of the GM screen, which is available as a free download. You replace about 1/4 of the info with some other things like available actions, the condition monitor and advancement info.
There is a free copy of all the different actions available at the SR web site.
Maybe get these 4 pages and put them in a 2 sheet, back to back package?

Hold out pistol has some errors on spacing, but it looks good.

I noticed another astounding issue when I went to print it off the publisher file... I ran the boarders to hard to the edges and my printer at work hated it. So I have cleaned it up and taken what you all said on board.

Fixed! The one I had in there was a place setter really, It was a jpeg of one I found online and I knew it looked naff but needed something to remind me to look at it. I have since built one from scratch and placed 30 overflow box's... Who knows... Maybe one day you'll play a Dragon!?!

I built one for 3.5 D&D for me and my players a few months back, A lot of people really liked it and its rated well over at RPG Sheets. What I plan to do with these ones is what I did to the D&D ones, And thats Laminate them. The only reason Im doing that is because I work in a printhouse and it costs me nothing. (That and my players jut notes on them and like to be able to wipe them off.. ** Shrug **)
And as for stiffness, the printers I have at work will print up to 250GSM paper...

Similar except geared towards players and not the GM. I never really use a GM screen anyway, I have all the GM data on my laptop in HTML format for fast navigation. The reason that the things that are on there.. are on there is I asked my players what they wanted... And thats what they wanted :)

Thanks for that, I may have missed it in the final rip.
The new copy is now available

Looking it over, I have but one suggestion.
Incorporate
this picture into the sheet, maybe as a background image.
Seriously. It'd look hella cool, but more than that, it'll solve a question that I'm sure hundreds of players besides myself have wondered. "What the HELL does my beloved Ares Predator look like?!"
Also worth thinking about would be that shotgun diagram.

The Sheet is great ... Thanks for sharing

On pictures of the Ares Predator ...
The pistol on the cover of Cannon Companion and on the Weapon Specialist picture is an Ares Predator I. It's also in the 2nd Edition Rule Book pp 238.
The Ares Predator II can be seen in Street Samurai Catalog pp 18.
On versions III and IV - No idea
---
As a side question are you allowed to scan the pictures from the books to post here for instance or is that a lawbreaking offense?

III, I think was pictured in the German Language version of Cannon Companion.
The artist who drew the Pred IV for the SR4 book has posted the artwork to
his DeviantArt account.

Any chance you could link to a non .rar file for the revised sheet?

With version 1.5 I can compress it in .zip if you like. I plan to finish it up today, there are a couple of minor changes I need to make and I will include 2 versions in the .zip. The big difference is one will have the Preditor as a watermark and the other will not.
Personally I think the Watermaked one with the Ares Pred in it will look a little to busy, but we will see. I'll post when version 1.5 is up.

I'm pretty sure its "Bad Form" to post "two in a row" on the one thread... Sorry about that.
Ok, The watermarked version and the normal versions are now up
HERE for your downloading pleasure. The Ares-P2 went into the 1st page only as there was a transparency issue with the shotgun and I couldn't be bothered looking into it.
I have added the shotgun spread example to the sheet and fixed a spelling error in Turn sequence 3 (COMAT should have been COMBAT.) I'm pretty sure it will print off the .pdf just fine as long as you have "Scale to Fit" turned on in your print options. Otherwise the boarders on the left and right will be partly dropped off the page.
This will be my last version of this sheet as I have already spent a little to much time on it. In the new ZIP file there are both copies of the Watermarked/Non Watermarked files (both .Pdf & .Pub.)
I am now offically going back to lurking and saying "very little" to "nothing" and just reading all of the fine contributors posts here on dumpshock.

I was a bit slow on noticing it, but the range table you use, where did you find that one? It isnt the same as the one on my GM screen ...

I'd ditch the skill improvement table and add a melee modifier table. That is, if the purpose is to provide a sheet that will assist in gameplay rather than character development.

Good Spotting, Version 1.6 is now up. To be honest I can't remember where I salvaged that chart from, Its from one of the 50 or so files I have ripped down for data composition in "MyInfo" for my SR campaign.
Apperently whoever originally wrote that copy decided they didnt like the book data, anyway.. All fixed now.

Version 1.6 Can be Downloaded from here:

I have included the melee combat chart in the new version, there is now offically no space left on the sheets. I'll now go back to lurk mode...

Why do you have a condition monitor? Any character sheet worth it's salt will have one. Maybe there is something more important than can go there?

Looks fine to me, but I still don't see the need for the skill improvement table.

I for one hate looking it up when it is needed.
The racial Maximum stat I could be without though, but enough criticism. It is a giant piece of work none the less

Its in there because my players wanted it there, And they are still getting to grips with what relates to what. I am pretty sure that as my game develops the crib sheet will mutate and change. (Hopefully not like some of the lunchs I have found in the bottom of my bag though. lol)
Because its really built for my group I thought I'd supply the publisher version to all and sunder, mainly so that others can change/alter the sheet to suit their own games. I did that with the 3.5 D&D one I made as well.

Because of what I just mentioned (My group wanting it) and also because the group I am in absolutely hate re-writing character sheets because you have rubbed out so many modifications to one particular spot on the sheet that the sheet becomes more like tolet paper as opposed to book paper. (3.5 D&D is kind of the same around the HP area).
So what I did was put it on there so they can save their sheets by using a White-board pen.
If it dosnt suit your group... Just remove it in the publisher version and put something there that you and your group would find more useful, after all thats why its included as part of the DL. :)
Anyway, I have to get back to my "Archtype/NPC Variant" project for SR3.
