No, this won't be a contact. If anything, his family is a hornet's nest of potential enemies who want to off him. His parents have disowned him, or rather, he ran away. He was fed up with all the banquets and the random petty feuds, so he decided to piss off his parents and sign on with a megacorp. Specifically, Aztechnology. Tir Tairngire as a whole is very suspicious of them, and he viewed them as great driven meritocracies when compared with Tir's courtly intrigues (HAH!).

Even though he hates his society and everything to do with it, he's still a nature-loving elf at heart, and has, over the years, developed a huge allergy to all artificial foods, including soy and krill. It's not physical so much as psychosomatic, but his brain is so hard-wired to the world's best food as to make this a moot point.

Because Aztechnology has the best food program and the whole magic-is-awesome ideology, they were the natural choice of megacorporation. Except he didn't know about half the shit they do, like blood magic and massive levels of pollution. He was freed when Ghostwalker totaled the Aztechnology section of Denver, which was where he was working (he refused several transfers to the Tenochtitlan part, since the atmosphere there's like 40% pollution).

He's currently without much direction in life and is deathly afraid of being found by Aztechnology. They don't know he's alive, and if they find out, they'd consider it a breach of contract (he didn't report to work for, like, 10 years) and either try to kill him or imprison him in an arcology (Most probably the Pyramid) and force him to do research for the rest of his potentially long life.

I like it. It's got plenty of plot-hooks for your GM to exploit or ignore as the plot demands. There's a fair amount of personality in it. He's definitely unusual, but without being over-the-top impossibly unlikely.
Since his allergy is primarily psychosomatic, he should definitely have a knowledge skill related to fine foods so that he can always identify the fake stuff.

Fair amount of personality? Granted, I told you, like, nothing about his actual personality besides being a stickler about food.

Hmmm... multiple forces within the Tir after him for different reasons. And the funny part will be that he knows practically nothing about the company, since he wasn't involved with upper management or blood-related research.

I'll try getting the GM to give different members of his family different personalities. His mom will be very overprotective. She'll have his father curled around her fingers, toes, and well-hidden devil's horns. His siblings will want him dead, and some of his old buddies will try to exploit him. He's a very hunted man.

If I was him, I would have a agent waiting somewhere in the matrix that if I dont pinged for 2dys would run to my fixer with an amount of money and set-up an extract run from Aztec... just in case.

I might add some Ancients contacts he got unintentionally; they may or may not misguidedly revere him for being descended from nobility.

I heard the movies sucked from a friend. And I mean the Japanese versions, not the "Shogun's Executioner" drek they have in the U.S.

And with all due respect, and that's quite a lot, seeing as how I bought, like, 13 volumes of the series before realizing that my college library had the entire collection, the original comic was pretty cheesy. The main character only talked whenever he had something to say about how he was a demon of Meifumado or samurai honor. It was essentially a very simplistic morality fable. As simplistic as a 28 volume morality fable can get.
