...Locke?

Come on, Setzer was the charismatic one. Despite Edgar's opinion of himself.

Now, give me a while, and I'll come up with one Setzer and one Mog...
Jetmaster
Hmm.. I think i'll have to build 'Fighter' from 8bit theater... I'll have him up either saturday or sunday.
Comedian
Going with the Final Fantasy ideas, Vagrant Story's Ashley Riot or Sydney would be awesome. Can you imagine sydney as a badass illusion-specialties mage? Or Ashley as a full-on-adept?

Before the peyote wears off, I'll just throw down a raw list:
Characters from Crazy Taxi as Riggers
Any Resident Evil game character(unless they copy Jill in RE3 or something)
Street Fighters
Chrono Trigger's Lucca as a Rigger
... the list can go on and on...
Phaeton
Cloud from FF7.

The ultimate PhysAd.
Drain Brain
Nah...

Dante - Devil May Cry. Physad uber-Initiate complete with various "knacks"

Powers - Great Leap, Improved Ability (Pistols, Swords, Shotguns, Launch Weapons), Shapechange (Demon Form), Improved Reaction (Level 3)

Better than that is Solid Snake - no 'ware or magic of any kind, just a bucket load of skills and lots of guns. And Cigarettes. And Porn Mags. And Cardboard Boxes.
Kagetenshi
On a side note, Joe Musashi should be changed to include a Knack for Powerball always centered on self that doesn't damage himself. Not sure how to reflect that ruleswise, though.

I'm not sure where those cold spells came from, but they were in NSRCG and fit, so I used them.
Phaeton
Meh. I went for an overpowered PhysAd. Where the hell did you get him THAT much stuff, Kabe? And can't Adepts use foci? And...How DID you buy him all that stuff again? Mine didn't have a pain editor. And how did you get him that many skills, Kabe?

...Don't mind my ranting. Me not quite mentally there right now, chummers.

...I'll post PhysAd Cloud when I have the chance.
Sahandrian
The same reason I can blow up the world twice, Charlie. I'm cooler than you.
Phaeton
...You see, Sahandrian? This is why I want to smack you at times. I NEED ANSWERS. And you...Well...Say random things.
El_Machinae
When it comes to video games, I have no shame stealing characters. The card version of Marvel Superheroes takes maybe 8 seconds to generate a character once you know the rules. I've run games where 90% of the NPCs were stolen from video games.

Tekken, Street Fighter, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill. Heh, and because few of my players play video games, they had no idea that I have no creative spirit.
Mysterio
I thought I was the only one to try this. I tried to do up my own version of Link from The Legend of Zelda series. I say my own version because I did some noticable tweaking to him (ie some cyberware). I can't remember if I used rules on or off or not in the generator.
Feel free to criticize but please, be gentle, I'm actually quite proud of him biggrin.gif :
Name: Link
Race: Elf

Poles or staff 4 (I know he doens't use it in the games but I always though he should)
Etiquette/Street 3/5
Music/Ocarina 2/4

Knowledge Skills:
Elven Society 4
Magic 3 (I know that in the games, Link does obtain magic abilities but I'm not really a fan of magic users)
Parazoology 3
Zoology 3
Paranormal Animals 3
Horses 3
English/CitySpeak 2/4
Sperethiel 3

cyber.gif Cyberware:
Reaction Enhance lvl 3
Boosted Reflexes lvl 3

Edges/Flaws:
Good Rep 1
Friendly Face 1
Human looking 1
Bravery 1
Ambidexterity 2
Dark Secret -2 (I thought it'd be something to be brought up if I ever played him)
Distinctive Style -1 (a guy dressed in green on horse....)
Computer Illiterate -3

Gear:
I have gear for Link, but it's pretty much what is to be expected (custom made tunics, boomerang etc)

So yeah I know he isn't completely finished but he was fun to make.

Dr. Pain-

There aren't enough points to a starting character to express how much of a badass Freeman is.

"I'm a theoretical physicist with an automatic weapon. F*ck with me not, head crab."
DR.PaiN
Hence the lack of stats. He would be Superhuman in any game I would run.
Tyrae
Wow...no one has mentioned 'Strider' yet?! The original mind you for the NES. Magnetiic Boots, a sword that slices through everything in one swing, the coolest jumping pose ever...you can't beat him with a stick!
Strider 3 on PS1 really makes him shine though, not to mention it comes with Strider 1 and 2 frm the Sega (bleh).

Tyrae ~ Fallen Child of Magdalen
Phaeton
Hmm...Ghost from Timesplitters 2 - NeoTokyo 2019.

And Barret from FF7 as a street sam.

Or you could get the marine from Opposing force, or even better, Barney from Blue Shift

Just what every runner wants to meet, an unaugmented, mundane, low-ranking security guard capable of taking on dozens of fully trained marines...

Heh, for freeman the first is the ability to carry ludicrous amounts of heavy weaponry and ammunition. biggrin.gif

Freeman<Doom guy and Quake folks.

~J
Fresno Bob
Heck no.

Freeman/Barney/Cpl. Shephard (OpFor Marine) > Doom or Quake guys.

Well, Let's see, Freeman carried a crowbar, 9mm pistol (Glock 17), .357 mag revolver, 9mm SMG with underbarrel GL, double barreled shotgun, a clip fed crossbow, a laser guided RPG, the Gluon gun (blue beam gun), the Gauss Gun (Yellow beam chargeable gun), the hornet gun, then there were laser tripmines, c-4 satchels, regular grenades, and those little snark dudes. Maybe that suit of his gives an STR bonus...and with all the protection it gave, I'd give it the same stats as Med. Security armor..
Kagetenshi
Oh hell no.
But this could easily turn into a flamewar, so I'm going to drop that.

~J
Stonecougar
I will admit, the marine from Doom had a certain sand to rely on his brass knucks for melee weapons...
Kagetenshi
And they did as much damage as a pistol shot, is the beautiful thing.
I'll do up the other ninja of Shinobi when I get a chance.

Which is the WORST GUN EVER. The pistols in that game are so far superior to every other firearm, its ridiculous.
Fresno Bob
I'll admit the gun did suck, but the grenade launcher made it worth its salt. The 9mm pistol also sucked, when it got to later levels. The magnum was excellent, though, capable of taking out even the toughest enemies in a couple shots.

Actually, the crossbow was much better than most of the non-energy weapons, now that I think about it.
Drain Brain
For anyone with the appropriate 'ware (PS2 & G-Con 2) try Resident Evil: Dead Aim. Kick-ass game even though the plot is kinda... still.

Gimme the guns - Assault rifle kicks ass, as does the magnum. Good selection in general actually - you start with a 15 round hand gun, then the 7 round shotgun. You get a BF capable Glock next and then a silenced 8 round pistol. Then there's the AR - at 100 rounds full auto, the Grenade Launcher (6 rounds) and the ubiquitous "big nasty ray gun for taking out the Big Boss, that cannot be used in any other encounter"™ I can't remember what order you get them in, though.

All in all, a good fun game for diversion. Kinda puts the edge on things...

The Crossbow is a good weapon. But the 9mm pistol is awsome. Dead on accurate, granted you aren't going to blow up a tank with it, but still one of the best guns in the game.
