Full Version: Dart Weapon rules

Ok, I remember in the old Street Sam book, the narcoject weapons had odd rules. I don't have that book anymore and i cant find anything in the main 3rd Ed rules or Cannon Companion.

So, the dart itself carries a chemical load (say 6D stun Narcoject). when this is shot, that chemical does not represent the power of the load.

What power and damage code does the dart itself do (im guessing 6L like a light crossbow maybe?) and does the target resist with ballistic or impact armor?

any help would be appreciated.

I'd personally make them a max of 6[null], where null isn't anything but can be staged up to something.

If an Adept can throw a PEN at somebody for (S)L damage, I'd say a weapon that's DESIGNED to be shot at people would do at least a L.

the rules for dart weapons are in M&M.

But as for the power of a dart weapon, as it say'sin M&M unless the armour is harden then the dart will delever it's load. but the armour does effect how well the load is delevered

yep. insanely, darts do absolutely no damage.

I'm not exactly sure why they should do damage on their own. A tranq dart isn't going to do nearly enough damage to make everyday tasks 25% more difficult. After all, that's functionally what a Light wound is akin to.
