Meh. They didn't even mention the attempt to attack RFID to Christians by claiming
it will become the Mark of the Beast.
They also
made a factual error. It's the Times, so that hardly goes witout saying.

Hehe, it'll be interesting if it ever (not bloody likely in the forseeable future) becomes a mandatory thing to be installed. Installed at birth or something. I would love to see the doomsday folks really reacting to it.

Imagine the 50 million people who read the Left Behind series. Now imagine their reaction to such an act.
"Amusing" doesn't even begin to describe what would happen.

Well then, it'll be notched up to interesting and horrifying to see their reactions... more of an interesting study in social and religious dynamics in society.

While I havn't read Left Behind I have seen the movies. I would have rooted for the antichrist if he wasn't such a dork. I was just waiting for someone to say "I met the Antichrist. And that's not him. Baby, the Antichrist is black."
So yeah, RFD tags are good, but only if the Anticrist is African American, preferably played by Samuel L. Jackson.
why is it that every bad ass black guy is Samuel L. Jackson, or Wesley Snipes?
I mean he kicks ass, but still

Because, can you see Will Smith playing that role, or Martin Lawrence, or Alfonso Rebeiro for that matter?

Why, it's cause he's a bad motherfucker, of course.

Bah. Hawk and Spencer are still busting heads in the novels, and they've been eligible for Social Security for years.
Sisko... Bah. Damn kids and your music.

Two years ago a micro chip was implanted in some guys arm that had nerv damage.
They said the chip had great success and restored some of the mobility to the arm and they said they planned to put a chip in the brain for the next years project.
That was a year ago now and I have not heard anything about the later so I don't know what happend but it is interesting.
They say science fiction is the forcaster of the future.

They'll totally be the ideological base for the Humanis once the Awakening comes around. And that will be when I can start killing without remorse. Assuming that the primary means of interacting with the world becomes a dice and a character sheet.
SL James

Wrong. People like me will be the ideological basis for Humanis, and I don't have any qualms about preemptive murder.

Hmm, I wonder if it could record memories and such and used as a interrogation method.
Just a thought. I am always curious how a medical breakthrough can be used in a military way or misused in other ways that could effect our future freedom.
Many pros have cons and it seems very few in goverment try to protect us from the cons while the pros are helping us.

It is easier to hide a severed arm in your backpack than it is to steal a keychain. Even without the skimming it would have been a bad security decision.
nezumi
Feb 12 2006, 06:14 PM
But you can generally get a keychain without the person noticing. When's the last time you or someone you know forgot his arm in the car?
hyzmarca
Feb 12 2006, 10:25 PM
The converse is also true. A person can hide his keychain but he can't hide his bicep.
