Mine wouldn't be a crying samurai. emo samurai's only funny as a name. Maybe Dark Schneider-ish, with me being a dude standing in the middle of a fire I make. Or maybe I'd look like T-1000 from the end of Terminator 2 right before he falls into the lava pit. That was freaky as hell. Or maybe I'd be a swirling mist with two eyes barely visible in the middle of it.

Heh, my most recent icon is a mix of anime chars. My personal icon looks like one of the AI tanks from Ghost in the Shell, with the same voice quality, and the two agents I usually run look like Annapuma and Unipuma, respectively. When running their attack gear, they're the archetypal catgirls with guns. When they're running healbot status, they look like catgirls in nurses outfits, when they're in stealth mode, they wear leather 'catsuits'

I would try and look like a datapacket. makes it easier to slip around.

Mine would be a little cartoony girl who looks like she walked straight out of a South Park episode. Incidentally, you can create your own South Park character here. It's tons of fun, even if you're not a fan of the show.

The first thing that popped into my head after reading the topic was... Dark Helmet. With one of the chars I'm creating though, it will probably be a WW2 soldier.

A black winged angel whose shadowed face has tears of blood trickling down cheeks, an elaborate, gothic sword in hand, white robes tattered. Or Alucard from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Without taking the to much time to think about it, there are two likely one's I would go for: a TRON style icon, with a lightcycle and a floating Bit (agent program) or the Nameless One from Planescape: Torment, with tattoos that change as my program loadout changes.

A geeky guy in a mage uniform or armor, I guess....

I mean, sure, Christopher Walken is pretty cool and he has that great line in True Romance, "I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood. He never had to announce his evilness.

My avatar would be based on my regular online 'persona' in environments where I'm called up on to be someone else. A six foot tall muscular humanoid alien with no body hair and antennae.

Heh, tricky one. Maybe armour and attack programs that make me look like an elemental from CBT obscuring mostly the whole icon... small laser as attack prog, the srm backpack as black out or hammer depending on the character's style. Probably a little predictable, but... Maybe a good agent icon too.
