How does Zelda sculpt VR? While the new rules make this less of an issue than before, I am curious. Does it look like the 8-bit Zelda game or somehting else.

Found another one, which I'm almost ashamed to admit I missed, since the Dark Tower Series is my favorite book series.
Jake Chambers - (Stephen King's The Dark Tower Series - John "Jake" Chambers, sometimes called, The Boy).
@Nikoli would you mind if Wes, called Jake, the boy every once in a while? Not to his face, because I can't really think of a way to work that in, but maybe as a conversation with Raven, Wes' other as it were (yeah I borrowed the term other from TDTS too, if you were wondering).
That is operating under the assumption that the characters know one another, of course.
@Alex Just for my sanity's sake, who is all in the room as of right now?
I know Rooster, Caz, Jack, and myself for sure. But I've sort of skimmed posts that didn't directly apply to me recently, for various reasons.

I know I haven't exactly been playing like Jack knows all these guys, but I figure he knows them more along the lines of "seen them around" more than actually having worked with them. After all, he's sorta new to the mid-time.

Ok, since it looks like I was one of the last to show up, I'm just keeping my mouth shut for the time being.
I know we talked about knowing each other, but now that I think about it, based on my character history you may know of him one of two ways.
# 1 - Prison - somewhere in the Seattle area
# 2 - The Big Easy - seen him wandering around in the last few weeks.
Just let me know, but unless I hear other wise I'm going to go on the basis that I "may" have seen some of you around town, but not much more than that.
Hope this isn't a problem, just what seems to make more sense now that I think about it.

All,
From my count eveyone is officially in the back room except Zelda who will be arriving at some point in the continuum, although I don't know exactly when.
Whizbang, if you are OK with it, lets have Zelda show up at 2200 or so.
I know that several of your characters are looking into the basis of the run. I am not stalling nor attempting to fake you out on this one. I set the threshold high becuase this run is not your typical Shadowrun and therefore would not be on the "normal" radar screens.

Hey, Alex, I had assumed I had my pistol with me. Would you rather I assume I checked it or would my licence allow me to keep it with me? Jack would not rock the boat if he was questioned about it. He would mention he has a licence for it but would check his pistol if asked. Its a fake licence rating 4.

You would have been asked to check your pistol.

Jack would know at least the following on his finance roll:
Darren is one of the first names that you will hear, whether you run the shadows or not. He is a member of several community councils as well as the head of an actisvist group, ERMH (Equal Rights for Meta-Humans), which has made him some enemies with the policlubs. His stance on meta rights came due to his brother changing into a dwarf and his future borther-in-law into a troll during their teens. He is also the proud owner of O'Mally's Bar and Grill.
On the Corporate Politics roll:
He has been seen with several big-wigs in the corporate circles but his exact involvment is unknown.

Easy Company, band of brothers was a good book.
They were some major players back in world war two, they fought in D-Day, Operation Market Garden, and The Battle of the Bulge. Some real tough men. I talked to my grandfather about them just the other day (he served in WWII).
It's going to be hard for me to have Wes not know all the things about them that I know, because honestly Wes hates history. Raven likes it but Wes never really listens to him.

My next door neighbor was 101st. John Hurst, good man. Died recently, crazy guy thought his girlfriend was hold up in Mr. Johnny's trailer, so he clubbed Mr. Johnny on the back of the head with a brick, breaking it. Then Mr. johnny fought back, they struggled for a good 20 yards and his cane was broken clean in two places. The man did not go quietly.

I've been think about this run for a while. That it ends up on Memorial Day Weekend just happened to be coincidence.
@last ... mikeys
Our poor Mr. J rolls his 5 dice for Negociation and Charisma and gets four hits (not using edge becuase he doesn't know enough to think he needs it). That gives you a net of 8 hits. We'll up it by 40%.
@Kiedo
Wes is able to tell that Dr. Smith is being genuine. He detects no hint of deception.

On the general matrix search in AR
Sons of America as it turns out has a site on the Matrix that discusses their public face. They promote the value of history and the importance of its preservation. They feel that they are the true holders of the torch of liberty given that the Northern States sold out to the Amerinds and joined up with liberal Canada. They feel that the Southern Sates can be the salvation of the old USA if the citizens are willing to put the effort into learning from history and elect leaders who will lead not follow.
On Dr. Smith
Nada
Full VR
Sons of America seemed to have been started by a group a masons who rolled elements of the Sons of Liberty, the Sons of Confederate Vetrans, hyper-patriotism for the USA and Masonic symbolism together. The result - acording to several sites out there - is that the Sons of America (SoA) uses its influence to alter political elections and are trying to control government to the greatest extent possible. Some of the most extreme sites out there propose that the SoA is an offshoot or a cover for a branch of the Illuminati. NOT the Illuminatis of the New Dawn mind you but the real Illuminati. All sites agree that policlub activity is NOT one of the skeletons in the proverbial closet of the SoA. There is no mention of Dr. Smith accept for a few different articles that all say the same thing - he was recently inducted in the SoA.

Looks fine for the purposes we have here. I'll check RAW later.
Caz is able to easily trace the call. The basic programs he is using look to be about two upgrades behind the curve. He dials a number that registers as a location out in the Gulf. He speaks for a few minutes with this number and last cuts the connection before speaking to the group again. Following the trail towards the Gulf leads Caz to locate a house boat and a registered owner - James Chandler.

Now, please clarify for me. Who is on what team?
Kiedo
Jun 11 2006, 02:11 AM
Wes, Caz and Rooster on one team, everyone else, Hack'ed, Zelda, and Jack on the other.
But that was just a suggestion on Wes' part, we don't have to stick to it, if everyone decides it's not a good course of action.
[edit]
Just for a frame of refrence, and correct me if I'm wrong, I'm trying to figure out what everybody specializes in.
Wes - finding things, problem solving(though thats more me than Wes), and ranged combat.
Caz - hacking
Zelda - hacking?
Hack'ed - irnoically not hacking, magical muscle
Rooster - B&E?
Jack - not really sure...

Combat mage in a troll's body, that tried to be a hacker first and ended up in prison.
