What the other runners would know about Rooster
[ Spoiler ]
The difference between on and off the clock is startling. He's polite, well spoken and well mannered on the clock. Off the clock, he speaks his mind, often to his own detriment. Should someone say a cross word to him, he'll probably throw a punch. That wouldn't be too bad if he didn't keep losing the fights, but he doesn't care. 'A man has to stand for what he believes to be right,' is all he'll say. Win or lose he'll probably buy the guy a drink provided they didn't change their mind about the differencfe of opinion, that just makes him mad.
Doesn't talk much about previous jobs, other then there's work to be had if the right people know you have the right skills.

I like Kiedo's suggestions that you should all know each other. Is there anyone that would prefer to be a bit unknown?
FYI: My wife and I are going out on a double-date tonight with some friends so it may be a while before I post more.
See you later this evening. (I'll be on for a while this afternoon though.)

I'm good with knowing others as well.
I'll get some info up later today or tonight.
Quick ?, how do you do the Spoiler Tag?
I know how to do fonts & color but not finding the Spoiler stuff.
Thanks

I'm fine with knowing the group. Guess I should join the 'what you should know' group.
[ Spoiler ]
As grey hairs continue to sprinkle through her red hair, it's getting harder to hide that Zelda is getting on up there as far as most runners are concerned. However, her reflexes haven't been dulled, and she'll certainly pop you one if you dare to ask her about her age.
However, from the stories she tells, she was apparently a big thing in the digital world back in the 60s. The Crash apparently threw her for a loop, placing her back down here with the mortals.
She goes into runs with enthusiasm, though still with a double dose of caution. One doesn't live to grow old in this business without a touch of paranoia and a lot of luck. Of course, you're not paranoid if they really are out to get you....

Knowing the others is a great plan.
Hmm... what would be obvious to others about Caz.
[ Spoiler ]
Hyperactive is the word that pops to mind when you first see her, either that or she’s a high school cheerleader on novacoke in disguise. Bright, vibrant, bouncy, and playful Caz is definitely not what you would call subtle – especially when wearing her t-shirt that says “Remember Chi-Town, Nuke Ares”.
That’s completely different when on a job however. Then she’s serious, dedicated, and focused on the tasks at hand. Her ex-military background is obvious as she strives to be efficient and accomplish the objective(s) with minimal fuss.
A dedicated musicophile Caz has stickers and patches on almost all her non-work gear. Concrete Dreams, Dark Angel, Jet Black, Cruxshadow, etc. If you catch her when she's relaxing to some tunes, you might just get an earful on her past in the UCAS Army or her time in Seattle.

I forgot the physical desciption, opps.
[ Spoiler ]
Standing a head taller than your average human, Wes is a powerful looking man. He has long white hair usually tied back into a ponytail, and tattoos running up and down his entire body. He usually wears jeans and a T-shirt, with a duster over it, partly to blend in with the rest of meta-humanity, but mostly just to cover his tattoos. When fully clothed the only visible ones are a Raven, on the back of his right hand, the Tir Ghost logo, on the back of his left hand, and a nano-tattoo of a skull with a snake that crawls in and out of it, on the back of his neck. Sometimes he'll wear gloves to cover the ones on his hands but for the most part doesn't.
Tattoos Indepth
[ Spoiler ]
I guess from top to bottom.
Head -
on the back of his head, which unless is shaved the tattoo is completely unnoticable: the "Vitruvian Man" about 4 inches across.
Neck
Back of neck: nano tattoo of a skull, taking up the full span of his neck, with a black snake crawling in and out of the eyes and nose.
Front of neck: on the left side horizontally, the word ghost, in sperithiel.
Chest
calvicle: tribal flames spanning the upper part of the chest
stomach: two dragons, one black, one white, in a fight to the death. if you lookjust right it makes a yin yang like shape.
Shoulder blades: the uroboros, but instead of a snake, it's an eastern dragon, and instead of a circle, it's the symbol for infinity.
Spine: a tribal pattern resembling loosely a spine, only breaking for the uroboros.
Left Arm
Bicep: an angel holding a sword, a book, and a compass.
Forcep: various religious and occult symbols
Hand: the logo for the Tir Ghosts
Right Arm
Bicep: a demon holding a sword, a book, and a compass, that is the exact mirror of the angel on his left arm.
Forcep: more assorted religious and occult symbols
hand: a raven

Info on Hack'ed
Johnny or Hack’ed as he was called when in prison is fairly average for a troll, if you can call trolls average. He stands at 2.5 meters tall and weighs 325kg. His horns curve up and back from the side of his head. He has short black hair and a well-trimmed goatee, behind his left horn a data jack can be seen as well. He normally will be found wearing blue jeans, and a tee shirt under his leather jacket. His eyes are obviously cyberware as his irises are a solid blood red. At first look someone would guess ganger hacker with the data jack, cyber eyes and all, but once you look closer and see the multiple pouches he is always carrying along with several foci some may pick up on the fact that he’s a spell slinger of some kind.
[ Spoiler ]
SIN’er (Criminal)
The fact that Hack’ed has been in prison is fairly easy to determine looking at him. Also when talking with people he knows he’s not shy about his time in prison and how he ended up there. He has served his time but once that criminal SIN has been attached there’s not much you can do.
Scorched & Sensitive
These conditions are both a result of his run in with the security on the job that ended him up in jail. He still does basic matrix work, but does everything he can to avoid any kind of matrix combat as to not revisit that bad memory.
Astral Beacon
For one reason or another his astral signature is much stronger than most, but it actually was an advantage for him because that was how his teacher was able to pick him out from the mundane’s of the prison population.
The Move
He has also just recently moved to New Orleans, as he needed somewhere else to work, as things were getting a bit hot for him in the Metroplex after he had taken care of his unfinished business with his old neighborhood buddies. The upside was it gave him a chance to really test out his new tools for running and gave him an advantage when taking care of the old business. As a result of being new to the city and still trying to keep a low profile he hasn’t set up much of a network of contacts and is just hoping this ork Smiley can actually set him up with something. So far he’s been crashing in a coffin motel and spending a lot of time on the matrix trying to get up to speed on what the local happenings are.

Jack Mardell has no street moniker. He just uses his name. He figures someone'll come up with a name that suits him that'll stick someday.
[ Spoiler ]
d: At 16, Jack Mardell had his life turned upside down when his entire family's existance was wiped out in the crash of '64. Fortunately it also wiped out all the embezzlement charges against his parents, who were out on bail at the time. As a result of this they never got their SIN back...leaving their poor son without a SIN either.
Jack had done very well in his computer courses, expecting to go into executive training. When he suddenly had no secure home to live in he had to learn to protect himself and fit in in a new circumstance. He learned to fight the hard way and his parents, good CASers that they were, made sure he learned how to use a gun just in case there was a break-in at their hovel and he was in danger.
After ending up actually homeless when he accidentally shot his dad one night (it sure looked like he was breaking in and he was acting violent, like he often did when he was drunk) he started breaking and entering to steal or even to find a place to sleep. His mother ended up overdosing on BTL's which she used to cope with her prostitution to survive so he was on his own. He managed to find someone to sell stolen items to, his fixer Simon. Simon was just starting in the "arranging" field and saw Jack as a potential resource to nurture, so he started asking for specific items. When he discovered Jack could use a computer he started getting him to steal data from peoples' home terminals (basic blackmail stuff and such).
Jack had a nack for new circumstances and managed to somehow always get out with the goods, so Simon tried putting him into more social situations where he'd have to schmooze in to get access to places to steal or hack. Never anything too dangerous. Just tough enough to be a challenge. After a few years of small time Simon set him up on a run for a Mr. Johnson. Jack ended up stealing back blackmail he'd already stolen! He found this very amusing.
He took a risk and used what he already knew of Mr. Johnson, took info from the person trying to blackmail him and brought it to his employer to use. Mr. Johnson was quite pleased and decided to keep him in his little black book.
Jack is ready, he believes, to start on the higher paying jobs. No more 100 nuyen stuff. Real money! Perhaps if he had a partner or team who's skills complimented his own...
Appearance wise he's quite the attractive man. He's a wiry 6 180cm tall and 130kg. His hair is short and dirty blond or brown, depending on the season. He has sharp, bold features with no tattoos or piercings. He is generally seen in his Actioneer™ business suit and appears unarmed. He'll put on a shock glove if he suspects trouble and does not try to hide it when he puts it on.

So since we are working on the basis that we at least know a little about each other, can we just get a quick roll call and simple break down of skills.
JDragon / "Hack'ed" - Troll - Combat Mage - I have focused on my spell casting, I will not be summoning any spirts, but should be ok at getting rid of unwanted ones. I have limited computer/matrix skills.
Next...
Kiedo
May 22 2006, 11:13 PM
Kiedo/ Wes "Ghost" Spire - Elf - Detective/limited face - I guess he'd be close to your standard noir detective, with the addition of matrix snooping skills (no hacking but he has 7-9 dice for any given non-hacking matrix action). As far a being a face goes, he's got several high powered contacts, including the recommended one, but on the skill side of things he's not that much of a face (he does have the influence skill group but it's at 1 and with a 3 in charisma, that's only 4 dice for things). But I guess what he brings to the table is to be able to track down pretty much anything but an improved invisibility ninja with a chameleon suit, and even then he might stand a chance....
but basically he's a private "eye" who knows a few people.

Well, I hadn't put a lot of thought into it.
But, at this point I'm thinking hes a bouncer at a hole in the wall dive bar, that is trying to get into the game as a Fixer, since he has no interest in really putting him self at risk..
Since Hack'ed is new and trying to keep a lower profile for a little while, he hasn't had much time to build up any decent contacts yet.
If any of this doesn't work just let me know I'm not set on any of it. Sorry I didn't put more thought into it before. Still new at this Shadowrun thing.

Okay, Jack is good enough to be considered an average professional in electronics, influence and stealth. He's in slightly better than average shape, has some natural athletic ability and is otherwise pretty average. He can shoot a pistol or defend himself unarmed if he has to, but what he does best is infiltrate corporate or political enviornments, earn trust and use it to gain access to information which he can sell or use. He knows enough about corps and finances to be useful.

Description
[ Spoiler ]
Cassandra, or Caz as she prefers to be called, is very short and slender for an elf.
Standing just under 1.76 meters tall and weighing in at 61kg, she has a very pale complexion, deep blue eyes, and shoulder length fiber hair implants that can change color on a whim. Just above her right temple is a datajack. Due to her height and pale complexion, Caz can best be described as cute (which she really hates) instead of attractive.
Caz's normal mode of dress is jean and a t-shirt with a lightweight linen blazer, except when on business or at night when she'll also don a black leather lined coat.

-Eyes: Color: Blue
-Hair: Long Bob Cut, Color Varies, Usually tied back into a ponytail (Cosmetic Fiber Implants).

Haha, I knew it, the Reel Big Fish angle was shakey at best.
You know this run is slowly gaining more and more literary refrences, Dr. Seuss, and now JDragon's fake ID claims he's Indiana Jones. What's next Moby Dick, lol.
I can see it now,
Wes walks up extending his hand to the Johnson, "Call me Ghost." Many years ago - how many is not really important - I was broke and was bored with being on land. So I thought I'd get a job, sailing around the world...

Mordred has a total pool of 8 for percetion, +3 for paying attention, -5 for all the concealability on Ghost.

SWEET.
I'm going to start counting literary refrences. I have skimmed over other people's posts and including my own there are four, I've found.
the reservation code (Dr. Seuss)
Mordred (King Arthur Legends)
Dr. Jones proffessor of history (Indiana Jones)
Nazola (Stephen King's The Dark Tower Series)
By the way Nazola, if you haven't read TDTS, is a soft drink, that tastes like cream soda mixed with root beer.

Ok - really dumb question. Did we decide if we already knew each other or not?
Looking over the OOC thread - it appears we all thought it was a good idea, but did we actually decide?
Kiedo
May 27 2006, 06:25 AM
I'm all for it. Wes, is quiet naturally, well except for the conversations he has with himself anyway. So even if we decided we all knew each other, he'd be doing pretty much the same thing. The only thing he would do differently, would be to comment on Jack's food to him instead of to Raven, his other (or alter ego if you prefer, but other just sounds so much cooler).
I honestly thought I was the first person in the room, else I'd have said hello to everybody using the name they normally would go by.

I'm assuming that Wes is the "tall human in a duster", he's an elf, I know the background said he had human looking, but I deicided that it would really be believable considering other parts of his history
