Wonder if they would also grow awakened mushrooms, using the uneatable portion of the corn for compost. The corn is just a front.

Must have picked the cave for overall cost reasons, in some areas the cost of electricity would outweigh the cost of a greenhouse.

Except the plants you would be stealing wouldn't be ordinary plants. As the article states they aren't making money with this idea so far. Great idea to grow the plants necessary to make the magical drugs from M&M though. Easy to provide security for the site.
