Full Version: Cool Resolve vs. Kinesics

Hey mates,

I'm looking through the new adept powers in SM and couldn't quite get the nuances of the differences between Kinesics and Cool Resolve.

I get that those with Cool Resolve don't get the nifty communication powers that two adepts with kinesics can share, as well as the kinesics power being used as a dice pool modifier when someone is trying to determine if the adept is lying or not, but other than that, can anyone list some of the social interactions that would apply to kinesics, but not cool resolve, that justify the half-cost?

Cool Resolve only applies to the 'defender' part of the social opposed tests - Kinesics to both.

Ah, got it.

I read it incorrectly, and thought it meant "initiator/defender." Thanks for the clarification!
