Leonardo Rehcsif known as Leo to everyone except maybe his mother. Ex CAS special forces "retired" after his team all perished except for himself and one other. They fell to a group of toxic blood mages who were powering their magic with human sacrifice which summoned up a particularly nasty spirit. After recovering from his injuries under the care of a suprisingly nice shaman he returned home to find everything topsy turvy as the second crash had happened. This brought him to the decision it was time to go freelance.

have any of you ever actually been to Pike's Place Market? I live in Washington State and have in-laws in Bellevue so I've been there several times. Honestly, the setting for this type of start couldn't be any better.

When i was younger we lived at Ft. Lewis and went to Seattle alot. My step dad was from Idaho so we moved there and went every once in awhile. I loved Seattle as a kid...the curio shoppe is more akin to the one on the pier (I'm taking some artistic liscence here)

Since we havne't really started doing stuff yet, is it ok if I add one to my sheet? If not, no problem, I'll just pick one up somewhere after the meet.

ARKARY

Yeah, we can wait until after the meeting. After all, it's kind of neat and magic-y to have people seemingly arriving at the same time, yet somehow not seeing each other until the meet starts.

Cedric Rolfsson
Sep 21 2006, 04:18 PM
Taking what is in the articles, looking for dates and times particularly, and if any specific locations are given I'll begin a running log, creating a file on my commlink to store this information.
If that is enough information to get an idea of the type of ritual that could be preformed fine, if not once I have more data then use this roll.
Logic + Blood Magic Rituals

There are a myriad of rituals that come to mind, but the numbers are insufficent at the moment for any real powerful ritual. (and that point sticks out to you)
There seems to be no set location for the abductions. Most likely due to the randomness of the nature of being awakened.
The ezine's (legitamate) tell of the parents or parents seeing a shulking figure earlier in the area, then the child is found missing. Ages of children are 10, 12, 13, and 14.
The tabloid tells of a fantastic tale of the children being abducted by a vicious ghoul or sadistic vampire.

So we can plan ahead. Sweetness will be catching the Bishop after morning Mass and dropping the whole legwork task on to him. Someone in the Diocese must know about the 162's. Also ask about the Church taking an interest in the victims, perhaps starting reward and support funds. This will also give us a cover story when we go asking questions. Sweetness will be happy to go talk to people the Bishop points him at to get more info, but need some names and introductions to get started. Of course I'll owe the Bishop a couple favors in return...

Similarly, in the mroning I'll go to visit Buzzsaw, my arms-dealing fixer contact. Although less likely to have a whole lot of info, if the 162's are doing anything major, there's bound to be large enough trasnfers of equipment/weapons that he'd be able to locate.

Oct 11 2006, 04:14 PM
Jack, I'll be contacting my only contact person and asking about hiring a hacker to look into the victim's test scores. I've got my starting cash to work with. Then Zu will hit the virtual libraries himself to research the various and sundry rituals that might apply here and which tradition is most likely to make use of such ritual materials.
In my research I'll check the approximate times/dates of the deaths to see if there could be any kind of connection there too.
