The Mission is to recover the data. The guy and the trid clip are simply additional material to assist in that mission.

I think the lagging is waiting for the leader type to give us a direction and push but I think we need to come up with a new plan without stepping on any toes or bruising feelings. It seems like real life has Mister Juan in it's steely grip so I think we should do something in the IC thread to walk him/her into the wings in a way that lets the character come back when Mister Juan resurfaces. That's my idea, any suggestions all?

I'm with the buddha. I'm really interested in this game and want to see it to the end, but the pace at which it's been moving is really discouraging. I don't know what, if anything, can be done to shock things back into action, but I think that we should definitely try something.

If the team wants to actually move into the rooms that have been secured for your planning needs, then you either have to say that and I will bump it there or one of the players can post the walk and allow others to choose to stay or follow.

You've probably noticed from my other threads... I vanished once more from the boards. Some of you might know that I work as photographer... which means that I take all the jobs I can get. Sometimes it's one shoot a week, sometimes it's 40 This week was.... well... busy as freaking hell!
I've got two good days off, so I should be able to get back into gear.

IIRC, the only thing we know about Finn is that he possesses valuable information pertaining to the war between the two companies, and that Watanabe tried to move against him in a previous operation that culminated in failure.

Correct, there is operational data about an effort Watanabe's people to bring him in before. That operation had no success and the agent responsible came back with traces of Laes in his system. It was believed that Finn had information about the TAO project.

Couple of questions McQ - and sorry ahead of time if this was already covered at some point. Do we know who the junior executive is and who the memo was directed to? Do we have the name of the runner(s) who were in the failed run to bring [b]Finn[b] in? You mentioned the failed run, does it say where and how long ago? Thanks!

The operational file has the name of the Agent for Watanabe, though his memory was blanked out due to the Laes and thus he was unable to fill out the report. There is no information on the runners involved except that an outsourcing call was placed through some of the usual channels. It may be possible to speak with someone at Watanabe about which channels were utilized.

The Memo was written by an Ikeda Junior Exec, whose name has been removed from the document. It was directed from the Seattle office, to someone in the Denver office. The subject of the memo was the exec distancing himself from a decision to secure data from Takara's offline data-storage.

Do we still have Penta and Mister Juan on board?

EDIT: I'd do some digging via her contacts, but i'm not really sure any of them are applicable to finding specifics about an unnamed low-level exec from Ikeda.

Team--Mister Juan did reply to the PM to say that he will be back at the beginning of the month.

Vegas--I could type something up for you if you'd like. The nuts and bolts of the memo is as follows: The memo, from a mid-level exec at Ikeda, contained information hinting at the fact that said person was distancing himself from a decision made to secure data from Takara off-line storage units.

NB: Before this memo, Takara was unsure who had stolen the data. As the name was removed from the memo, it is not immediately obvious how Takara was able to ascertain the general identity of the sender.

RE: Exec Team--I'd like to NPC them along, I just don't have a clue what direction Vegas plans on going at the moment. If I can get some kind of outline from the exec team, I can puppet them along to keep up with the other team.

Current objectives that I see for the Exec team:
Identify where the offline storage facility was (Seattle has a different operational parameter than Zurich orbital),
Identify the author of the memo,

Then:
Investigate possible shadow actions taken at the site,
Identify key targets/runners,
Identify the current disposition of the data

Some of these should be fairly quick items, others more time consuming.

So, one thing I've never been clear on... why did Taylor send this file? He never said. I guess we can just see what we turn up investigating it.

Based off our previous convo I'm still working on putting something to paper. Life throws wrenches in at the worst possible times. Mental ones too

Basically on my end I just see her touching base with contacts and seeing if any favors for a friend can be called in to dig up info on the exec and root around for some info on said storage facility.

If that helps you move things along for a bit till this is done (hopefully tonight/tomorrow *crosses fingers and toes*) I'm cool with that.
