Anthroforms include anything with legs, actually... teh spider-like spy drones use Pilot Anthromorphic, after all. You're probably thinking of AnthroPOmorphic, which means "Shaped like a human".
Tricky word difference, but, fortunately, you have an English Major here to help.
There's a dire need for more leg-based drones as well, tho. At the *very* least, I want a German Shepard-ish drone, call it a K-10 (We improved on the previous design), which can do security patrols or carry a Lone Star program.
Once you have a basic quadruped design, you can start churning out all sorts of drones that use it. You start with pets, with Drone Cats and Drone Dogs, again that can be used as toys for a child, teaching them as they play, or that could be programmed with senior citizen aid functions as well. From there, security or police applications are obvious, and there'll be a market for idle rich luxury goods as well ... what BTL dealer wouldn't love to have his own Elephant, for example?
Realistic animals also make fantastic surveilance drones, such as a pigeon, rat, or cat in an urban area, any sort of fish in the water, or a 'gator for the bayou. There's even a market for combat versions of the same ... getting into that Proteus underwater facility's a whole lot harder when it's patroled by drone sharks, whether or not they have frickin' lasers in their heads.
Drones are just *begging* for more love.
