So okay people - and especially SK - don't know how fast you guys want to run this. Some games creep along tiny action by single line of dialogue. And if that's the level of detail and RP we want - sweet. Other games sort of move from key scene to key scene in rapid strokes. I can see us each posting what we do for the ride down (like Redjack did), and then BOOM, we're at the airport.
Naturally our pace depends on what all us players want ---- and of course it absolutely depends on what SK has in mind.
Syndicate_killer
Mar 6 2007, 04:15 AM
I 'd prefer a good pace but, not at the expense of good roleplay. I have left my posts short (so far) so as not to stifle you guys. I will have big posts inwhich you guys are just stuck for a period of time (hate that but, to hard to do interrupts in this kind of game...why i havent done really big ones). And Hey, this you alls story.

Mar 6 2007, 04:20 AM
Thanks for the quick response, SK. So, like, once all us'n players have done all we want to do, are we good to post to the airport? Or do you want us to wait for you on something?

From what I've read you all seem to be spreading out a bit (with a few congregated so the VIP will find you)...if that is so then go ahead and post your arrival and what you're doing as you wait. Also post in the times leading up to that if you wish. This campaign is more to me than just combat skills or running gun battles (not saying there wont be any lol) but, I chose you guys from your base concepts and background stories for a serious rp game....and I've (mostly) chosen well. I am highly impressed with how emerced you all have gotten into a culture that is (mostly) alien to Western ways.
Oh and you all are on your way to earning a tattoo [Insert Maniacal Laughter]

Alright, my post will be sufficient for my character up until the point where we're close to the airport, I think. Adamu, I know you had said that my character would be riding with Musouka, but he seemed a bit busy, so my character went off on his own.

Yukika will attempt to summon a force 3 spirit of man, with the optional power Movement. This will be in the limo. She will attempt this discretely.
Magic 3 + Conjuring (Spirit of Man) 5 = 8
2 hits 4 6 5 1 4 4 2 1
Drain Wil 3 + Cha 5 = 8

I should have just under 20 minutes till the scheduled arrival time. I didn't want to post any farther ahead time the rest of the team caught up with my post..
Once I come out of VR, my plans are:
1) Check the current schedule of the plane to see if its running early/late
2) Update the team with some tactical plans for coordinating defensive alternatives should the job go south.
3) Switch vehicles, return to VR and perform a little hacking on some of the airport systems so as to monitor video feeds and edit them as required.
adamu
Mar 7 2007, 12:58 PM
Yeah, anyway, the ride down is no big deal. I just hope Musouka can ride with Tsuneoka on the way back - hacker/TMs most effective away from the center of the physical action.
By the way, Redjack, can you see whether the limo is set up for remote operation? That way you could step in if our driver gets cacked or whatever.
Syndicate_killer
Mar 7 2007, 01:32 PM
It's not set up for remote
adamu
Mar 7 2007, 01:53 PM
Okay, then - I personally am good to go for arrival at the airport. I suggest that if anyone else has anything they want to do before we arrive, they post soon. Otherwise, I guess maybe we're set for the next scene???
In terms of OOC planning - Thought Tsuneoka and I would park as close as possible, but that our driver would just keep circling through the loading/unloading lanes right outside the terminal doors, only stopping for the allowed 30 seconds at a time, then just circling back - that way he's always close by for the pick up, and when we get in he could ferry us back to the other vehicles.
Also - are we taking guns, etc into the airport? I am thinking bad idea, and was going to leave my Predator in the limo - any thoughts?
Trigger
Mar 7 2007, 02:06 PM
I am not actually going into the airport proper as I wouldn't make it through security anyways with the razors in my hands. I would also ask the driver to drop me off at the very beginning of the airport area, so the earlier we arrive the better for myself. I do not want to leave the limo when you guys do, but I will keep in contact with you via comms and subvocal.

Sounds good Redjack. We can do a post when you switch vehicles and such after a couple other people have done theirs.
Masaru will be leaving all his guns in his car, but he'll be bringing a knife with him into the airport just in case things go arwy.

No problem. RL has to take priority.
When you get back, I need an (1) update on the arrival status of the flight. I also want to (2) insure that the limo is in fact rigged so that I can remote control it if required and that I was able to successfully (3) download the limo's admin codes from the clan's mainframe or databases (where ever such data is stored). Finally, (4) what are the PAN and SIN broadcast requirements at SeaTac?

PAN is to hard to control in this area...arrivals,departures and the avionics so it's too much of a mess to actual try to control (thats in the general areas, the terminal gates however are hard to get too hidden)
SINs are the same as above.
No delays in arrival.

When not shopping, AROs and perceiving astrally do not mix well, since no one else admitted being able to, she figures that's one of her primary roles.
Aside from being hostess extraordinaire.
Of course, she isn't very good at assensing.

Hmm, astrally perceiving is one way to avoid ARO spam...

Two quick questions: Did the caller ID show "Match" for Aniki and did Yamada pull the Limo around to pick us up?
Thanks!

Mar 16 2007, 03:07 AM
Depends on if that is how the comm call was done...Hacker has the say on that.
Yes Yama did pull the limo up....rushes out to open the door also (was going to wait to put that in but...no plan survives first contact lol)
Redjack
Mar 16 2007, 03:21 AM
hehehe as the hacker, I had noted a subtle title to each call in my post. I made an assumption that even Aniki's old flip style phone would have a display on the face like most of the new models even back in '07 had.
(Yes, I know the definition of assume but hey, I'm trying)
As to Yama, just wanting to be clear as you had mentioned the Mr Sharkskin suit headed for the parking garage.
Thanks!

Syndicate Killer -
Where are the Shi'sai Gardens? Do we know anything about them?
With Yamada, I want to work out a route that involves all of the following -
1) passes through a heavily secured downtown-type zone
2) gets off the free way and twiddles around in some suburbs, where we can easily spot tails
3) goes through some tunnels, where we can more easily spot drones (in RL there are some downtown, also some crossing Council Island).
4) if possible, pass through a park with lots of trees overhanging the road - sort of a vegatation tunnel, to make it easier to spot astral tails.
Once we have a route, will instruct Yamada to also work up some alternate routes in case of emergency, and to send all the routing info to me and Tsuneoka.

Yes, you know of the gardens it used to be the site of the Occidental Mueseum of art but was later renovated by several JapanaCorps, Asian Committees (and the Yakuza...silent partners) to include a replica Fuedal castle (Japanese)..it's still a cultural center that has Noh and Kabuki theatre, Iajitsu and kenjitsu (Kendo) bouts and training as well as the garden area which has a tea house.
The gardens drive will be the Enviromental tunnel and since you are heading into Seattle proper all the other things are easy to accomidate also.

Summoning 3 watchers, 2 hour lifetime each max, have them do astral watch and report to her. They are actually on par with Yukika in terms of assensing (Yukika's assensing is pathetic), but more eyes are better for spotting things.
