Oh.

You're the one.

I'm old school - Rich Osterhout - most of my stuff was during the SR2 days...just getting back into the swing of things now....currently ramping up the Shadowrun Missions campaign system...but back in the day i did some stuff - especially the Corporate Security Handbook with Mike Colton and took over writing/running the Gencon tourneys from Mike for a couple of years (like 8?) until handing the reins over to Bull...i'm probably best known for Gamma Scopolamine and the other nasty chemical weapons and drones in the CorpSec book...also worked on other SR2 stuff and a lot of the groundwork for SR3...
Kinda dropped off to work on other projects for a while, but like I said, I'm comin' back...

Loved CSH. One of my all-time favorite books in SR.
Demonseed Elite
*resurrects a long dead zombie thread!*

CSH was one of my favorite books also. biggrin.gif

Anyway, I'm a freelancer too. Jay Levine. Worked on Brainscan, Matrix, Target: Matrix, Threats 2, and Shadows of North America (I think I got them all). Took a forced break after SoNA due to the insanities of real life, but am now getting back into the freelancer groove.

Persistence all the way. I'd been writing various fan-made material and running online campaigns for years before I was a freelancer. Got into a crazy brainstorming session one night in an online chat with Dave Hyatt and Brian Schoner, which led to us three sending in a proposal idea for Brainscan, which got added to the line and was my start.

The closest I get to any of this is that I know and MUSHed for years with one of the playtesters for Matrix biggrin.gif

When someone invents a device that takes ideas directory from my brain and does all the work for me, I'll be back wink.gif

And as long as the thread is active again...as I promised...I'm Back!

I had some stuff added to SOTA:2064...

Also, if you haven't been keeping up, FanPro now has an official campaign setting, and I'm the Campaign Director - we have a handful of adventures so far, and I've written a couple of them, as well as all the introduction stories that appear at the beginning of the adventure to set the tone and help tell the background story. Go to the game website and check out Shadowrun Missions if you haven't already done so...

Oh, and I'm the one who did Culture Shock for SOTA. Sorry Mikey, you'll have to get used to disappointment. smile.gif

Really? I love that segment, as it has become required reading for all my players (what few I have now adays) =)

Yup. Just check the credits in the beginning of the book. You'll see her name attributed to that section. smile.gif

-- I'm Kenneth Peters. I got my first SR gig doing some material for Matrix after submitting a ridiculous full-length manuscript. Aspects of that original magnum opus survived the transition in the final book smile.gif
-- I enjoyed working on Shadows of North America the most of any book. I may talk a lot of shit, but SR has some damn good people working on the line. It's been interesting watching the line transition from an old-school cyberpunk setting to a quasi-transhumanistic setting.
-- I haven't done much for the line recently (although I mysteriously show up in SOTA63 and SOE) but that's mainly because my military recall screwed scheduling, and I ended up working a LOT on GURPS projects. I'm currently co-authoring GURPS Ultra Tech and GURPS Vehicles with the inscrutable David Pulver (and hence wouldn't feel comfortable submitting for SOTA64 at the moment). I'm still digesting SOE, but that book turned out pretty darn good in spite of my indirect involvement smile.gif I haven't had the chance to read SOTA63 yet, but I skimmed the genetech stuff a bit (no mention of bloatforms?? BAD FORM! smile.gif ).
-- Glad someone liked the Aleph Society. It turned out a bit tamer then I liked, but ironically enough it's actually inspired by a REAL group (I hesitate to call them a "cult") from Sandpoint smile.gif I never hear anyone talk about the Salish Shidhe part of SONA though, what's the deal with THAT?! smile.gif

Okay, maybe a bit late, but better late than never. I'm Costán Sequeiros, and I have playtested SSG, and appear as author in Shadows of Europe (Spanish chapter), and in the upcoming Mr Johnson's Little Black Book (the Anatomy of a Shadowrun chapter, though that's a story....). I guess most of the rest of the stuff has already been said, though.
JongWK
(Hmm, maybe I should wait until the book comes out...)

Hi, my name is Jong-Won Kim. I co-authored the Culture Shock chapter of the upcoming State of the Art: 2064.

Its really cool to see some of the forum names for the various faces Ive seen at the cons over the years. Hats off to y'all. And to Jon Szeto, whose table I was lucky enough to sit at one year, thanks. You ran a great game.
BIG BAD BEESTE
Its all that Freelancer Crack he takes. biggrin.gif

Cheers for the praise though WD, I'm sure we'll all try to keep up the standards. Personally, I like attending/running Con games for first-hand feedback. Anonyminity can be a great help sometimes...

Can't speak for SOTA but the SoE-contrib-credit was (at least) from the participation in the development of the Scandinavian Union chapter. You had a lot of influence in how that chapter turned out the way it did. So, thank you for that.

Btw. I'm Dag Fossmo, and wrote (with the help of some others) the SU chapter in Shadows of Europe, except for the Denmark part. Not a DS regular, but am a pretty active lurker. smile.gif
