Haywire smiles at the bouncer and thanks him, then heads inside the club, looking the ground floor over for a few seconds before heading up towards the first floor, where Secoiya is sitting.
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1035

The ground floor is packed with all kinds of tourists, posses trying to pick up “rich foreigners, pirates, wannabes and everything else. The main seating area is buzzing and the dance floor is packed with gyrating bodies and Haywire can almost see the steam building up in the club – and definitely feel it as she walks to the stairway to the upper floor.

The second floor is a bit less loud, the music is the same, just not blaring from a few dozen high powered speakers like the first floor. There are booths and tables towards the front and pool tables and a variety of card tables for gambling towards the back, and of course, the forbidden VIP room flanked by a pair of orc bouncers. This place definitely hire A LOT of orc bouncers.

Secoiya’s sitting in a corner next to a large black man with a shaved head, meticulously trimmed beard and a shirt you recall kids wearing in highschool with a picture of a bearded man’s face with long hair wearing a beret with a star on the front.

Soon as Secoiya notices Haywire she stands up and waves her over to her table.
Fuchs
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1035

Aha... wonder if that's a relative.

Haywire waves back and walks over to the table, smiling and greeting both, but also looking Secoiya over - in case the woman was not as fit as she claimed.

Ironic, if she feels better than me for healing her...

"Hi, I am Haywire!"

Haywire also looks the man over, to check for weapns and signs of obvious augmentation.

[ Spoiler ]

"Hey, nice to meet you," he says in a distinctly New York accent as he extends his hand, "the name's John." As Haywire inspects him she sees no signs of enhancement or weapons but she does notice that he is sitting too close to Secoiya to be her brother.

Secoiya pats you on the thigh as you sit down in the booth next to her and asks with a big smile, "so, how's my guardian angel doing?"
Fuchs
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1035

Haywire grins at Secoiya.

"Recovering from the strain you put me through, honey."

Haywire smiles at John.

"Nice to meet you."

Haywire logs on the club's node, ordering a hot sandwich, not having had lunch or dinner yet.

"So, what's up tonight? We got a few good reasons to party!"
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1035

"Oh, not much," Secoiya says, "I just wanted to treat you out tonight. So get whatever you want on me."

"So, have you heard from Mac?" she asks with a playful grin.
Fuchs
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1035

"Ah... thanks a lot. That'll ease my suffering."

Haywire grins at the offer, lightly punches Secoiya on the upper arm, and orders a Miller to her food. She shakes her head.

"Mac? Only that he's on a job, that's all."

Haywire looks John over, trying to guess what he does for a living.

I wonder if that's her boyfriend, or just a lover for a night...
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1035

Soon your the drinks and shortly after the food arives at the table delivered by a perky waitress. Yo chit-chat for a while and it turns out that Joohn is a Minor League pitcher in the UCAS. How they met is left unanswered but they do seem to be an item - at least for tonight.

Secoiya eventually brings the conversation back to Haywire, "so, you and Mac... are you, you know?"
Fuchs
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1035

Aha... here comes the inquisition.

"If you mean, are we sleeping with each other, then yes, we did. But that's all there is to it. So far, maybe. He doesn't really look like the man you settle down with, nor am I looking for one. What will be, will be."

With both of us in dangerous jobs, who knows how long we'll live anyway?

Haywire raises her glass, emptying it down her throat. She thinks of Makeda, without knwoing why, for a second.
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1045

Secoiya laughs playfully, "alright, I got you. No reason to yell at me."

"Anyway, on another topic," she says as she pokes John hard in the bicep, "he says he is going to be called up to the Red Sox in a day so this is his last night in Jamaica for a while."

"Can you believe it? A real live baseball player!" Secoiya hugs him close and he noticably blushes despite his dark skin. Haywire doesn't think he could be a day over twenty one.
Fuchs
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1045

Red Sox? Quite a catch!

Haywire smiles at the couple, impressed. She's also realizing - not for the first time, but now with a more personal touch - that Jamaica's nature of being a popular tourist destination makes it possible that people of all kind of backgrounds can meet - even a mercenary like Secoiya whose family is growing drugs, and an up and coming athlete. That's something she'd never seen or thought possible in Detroit, with the exception of the semi-fake "gangsta" musicians.

Quite a young one too.

Haywire feels older than her 21 years. John's probably her own age - she could check with a quick matrix search, the statistic-loving baseball leagues must have even noted his average sizes these days - but doesn't bother. Instead she toasts the couple, feeling happy for Secoiya.
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1125

The beer flows freely and eventually the food stops as the three partiers get full. The music begins to get louder upstairs as all the tables fill and a selection of tables are moved out of the way to open up the dance floor.

Just as things are getting really lifted Haywire gets a message on her commlink - from who else but Makeda - which simply reads: "come to Mirage at 0130, say you are with Makeda. Bring anyone you want."

Haywire isn't sure where Mirage is but a quick tap on the name of Mirage brings forth directions showing that its in the same neighborhood as the one she went shopping at recently. The matrix node clearly states proper attire required, no weapons, no armor.
Fuchs
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1125

Oh... proper attire... that means the dresses we bought yesterday...

Haywire blinks at the message, then ponders it for a few seconds. She's torn between dropping Secoiya, or telling Makeda off. She then tries to solve this by combining.

"I just got an invitation from Makeda, to "Mirage", and can bring anyone I want. Should we head over there? I've never been there before."

Haywire looks at the couple, hoping they'll go for it, evne though she can't imagine Secoiya without her guns, and in "Proper attire".
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1125

Secoiya looks genuinly stunned. Haywire has never seen that expression on her face before. It takes her a few seconds to respond before she says, "yeah, sure, uh... I gotta go home and get changed though. It's okay with you John?"

He clearly has no clue and just nods and goes along with it. Secoiya then says, "lets bust this joint then. It's going to take me a while to get ready for Mirage."
Fuchs
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1125

Hm... I better make doubly sure I am ready...

Haywire nods, as if she'd have known that already. She mentally goes through her new clothes, settling on a short but classy dress.

"Yes, that's a high class joint. Do you have a suit, John?"
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1125

"Oh, player, please!" he says with a broad grin, "I got nice suits and diamonds so don't you worry." Haywire notes that perhaps the large diamond studs in his ears might actually be real.

Secoiya laughs and rubs his hand, "alright, why don't we go back to our respective places, change and meet up in the lobby of John's hotel? It's right near Mirage and it won't be so crowded in the lobby as it will be outside the club."
Fuchs
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1125

Definetly a good catch...

"That sounds like a good plan, Sec. I'll be seeing you in the lobby there."

Haywire gets the adress of the hotel, then waves goodbye to the couple and heads home to pick her dress, and get presentable. It feels weird to leave her weapons at home. Since "boot camp" she has been used to always keep her weapons close, and carry. Even at most off-duty events, carrying weapons was at least tolerated if not encouraged - Ares being one of the biggest weapon merchants had influenced Knight Errants corporate culture as well. Still, she'd hate to make Makeda look bad by carrying weapons where they were not wanted, and show ignorance or deliberate disdain.

I haven't been dressed up like this since that officer's ball back in Detroit...

Posing in a short black dress in front of a mirror - and actual mirror, old, not a small camera projecting the picture into her AR view - Haywire checks her appearance from coiffured head to high-heeled feet, then calls a cab on her commlink.
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1225

Haywire meets Secoiya and John at the lobby of the Sheraton Hotel. The lobby is pleasantly cool and her heels ring loudly on the smooth marble floors.

Secoiya is dressed in a short sequin dress with matching heels and her wild dreads are smoothed back and sparkle with a red shine in the light. John is dressed in a black suit cut in the retro-style gaining popularity on the East Coast with a white vest and wing tipped shoes. A giant ruby and diamond ring – with it’s own AR label and biographic information - on his left pinky finger commemorates his 2069 College World Series Championship.

After a flurry of complements to each other’s clothes and style the trio head to the opposite corner of the street where a long line winds around the corner of the entrance to Mirage.

From the outside the place looks relatively low key with a double door entrance – closed – with a simple sign above the entrance proclaiming MIRAGE with a wavy neon line behind the words depicting the outline of sandy dunes. Small AR details appear soon as you look away and vanish as soon as you look too close at the sign. It appears impossible to log into the club’s node from the outside.

The line is filled with mostly what appears to be tourists dressed in their finest trying vainly to draw attention to themselves so they can get a cut pass through the line. A trio of human bouncers dressed in suits stand immediately outside the entrance and a sharp looking woman in a silver and white mini-dress and ridiculously high heeled shoes walks slowly down the line with another bouncer looking over the line for people who deserve a cut pass.
Fuchs
Outside Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1225

Ok... here we go. Let's hope Makeda does have the clout I think she does!

Haywire does a last check of her appearance, then marshalls her courage and starts to walk right up to the entrance, after making sure Secoiya and John are with her. She does walk slower than she is used to, partially because of her heels, partially because she enjoys the moment. As the trio starts to pass the line, Haywire smiles.

Look at us, corporate sheep!
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1225

The sheep do indeed look. Haywire notices people whispering with each other and giving them nasty looks, probably hoping that the three get turned away so they could have a good laugh.

Secoiya and John follow, the former looking a bit nervous and the latter seeming wholly in his element. Haywire encounters a very large man in a crisp black suit who moves to stand behind the velvet rope infront of her with his arms crossed. His cyber eyes - dull metal and archaic looking - sweep over her and then focus in on her eyes.

"Can I help you?" His voice doesn't make it sound like an offer she'd rather pass up.

Fuchs
Outside Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1225

Oh oh - king of the gate alert.

Haywire puts on her best smile - not the one she gave to the sarge shortly before trying to deck him after the Boston mess, but the one she wore at her prom.

"Hi. We're with Makeda."

Haywire tries to sound like it's the most natural thing for her to be here. To help get the attitude she imagines frying the bouncer with a mana bolt if he tries to stop her.
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1230

After a split second to check the guest list, his expression immediately turns into a welcoming smile and he unclips the velvet rope and steps aside to let Haywire and her friends into Mirage, “enjoy your night.

He immediately clips back the velvet rope and goes back to his stoic expression while ignoring the annoyed murmur and curious questions from the packed line.

The door leads to a pitch black hallway with the only light coming from the white luminescent floor where you can hear the faint hum of noise cancellation equipment. Once past the second set of doors the hallway opens into the heart of the club. The entire club seems pitch black except for luminescent floors, table tops, the bar and the hanging dance platforms – on which lithe dancers in black bodysuits twist their bodies, their forms only seen by the luminescent white patterns on their bodysuits. Over the dance floor is a constantly shifting AR display of lights and colored smoke that seems to move and shift to the music as if it was a living creature.

Haywire’s AR display – subscribing to the node is mandatory upon entrance – shows that Makeda’s table is to the back of the club where the seating is on raised platforms. A subtle red line on the floor guides her footsteps around the dance floor and up to the table. The crowd is surprisingly crowded on the inside, and everyone here seems either obviously young and beautiful or rich and powerful or a combination of the two.
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1231

Aha... there we go.

Haywire smiles at the bouncer as she walks past, secretly relived - as irrational as it was, she had the slightest fear that there was a mix up, or an error, and she'd be left standing outside.

The dark club and the luminescent patterns trigger a memory in Haywire, and for a second, she sees not a club and dancers in dark costumes with luminescent patterns, but glowing bug spirits and a dark underground hive, and tracers and flares... Haywire's low light vision kicked in instinctively, and banishes the memory. She takes a deep breath, checks astrally just out of a habit triggered by the same memory, then calms down, switching her low light vision off to enjoy the club's atmosphere.

[ Spoiler ]

Still feeling a bit uneasy, and out of her element in more ways than one, Haywire stays astrally perceiving longer than usual, to get in the club's mood that permeates its astral image. "Soaking up the emotions" one of her teachers once called it. He also had warned her of letting it affect her, but then, that was in combat, not in a club. And letting herself go a bit helped in burying the other memory.

Haywire smiles again, and starts up toward Makeda's table, murmuring an excuse for Secoiya and John.

"Sorry, I got confused for a second."
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1231

Haywire sees a pair of dumb watchers floating around in astral space. The emotions here are like you would find in any other club but hinted with a strong touch of pride and jealousy.

Secoiya waves her comment off while taking in her surroundings and John is just acting natural. Makeda is sitting in a booth in the corner of the elevated section past four low steps. The booth is an open semicircle of rich black leather with a black table with the same luminescent white glow. A bottle of vodka and a variety of fixings sit in a depression in the table filled with ice.

Makeda lounges in the booth in a short pink chiffon dress – showing off her dark long legs – with a matching pair of heels Haywire recalls her purchasing on their recent shopping trip. Her small clutch lays next to her side. Her only companion at the table is a thin Asian elf man – who looks very young, though that could just be because he is an elf - with short heavily styled hair, very long ears, and wearing very stylish clothes.

When Makeda sees the group approach she stops her conversation and sits back up and waves Haywire and the rest over.
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1231

Ah... there she is... oh...like a model.

Haywire feels like an ugly duckling again, despite dressed up, compared to Makeda's style and poise, the elf just has that "je ne sais pas quois". Class, probably.

Damn, I forgot to ask if Secoiya knows Makeda...

She smiles, greets Makeda, and presents her companions. Haywire also musters the male elf at the table, noticing his attractive look with a mixture of appreciation, interest, and a spark of jealousy.

I wonder who he is... looks like a dressman.
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1235

Makeda smiles at Haywire and pats the spot next to her indicating that she should take a seat, “it’s a pleasure to see you again Secoiya, and nice to make your acquaintance John. It’s hard to hear her over the music, but as Haywire moves into the booth the heavy bass of the tropical-jungle music subsides to a level where it is very easy to talk.

She looks towards her companion who is looking at each one of the three new guests with deep interest and an odd smirk on his sparkle covered lips, “this is my good friend Hiroshi. She waits till everyone is properly introduced, “well, can I get anyone a drink?
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1235

Ah...

Haywire smiles. She can always use a drink, but especially in this situation - it'll help her relax.

"Yes, a whiskey please."

While they wait for the drink, Haywire studies the elf.

[ Spoiler ]
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1235

The elf seems somewhat vacant. Maybe he is just a pretty boy. A few times he leans in close to whisper something in Makeda's ears, always eliciting a soft laugh, as if to an inside joke. He keeps moving one hand as if he is manipulating something and he is limply holding a delicate crystal glass of vodka on the rocks in his other hand.

There is something about him that is a bit annoying or off putting but it's hard to put a finger on it. Unfortunately it seems to be to dark to check for any signs of enhancements, though he certainly doesn't have any obvious ones.

John and Secoiya seem to prefer the available bottle and he mixes themselves a pair of vodka redbulls. Soon a waiter - or is that a waitress? - comes to the table with a small tray glowing like the tables carrying Haywire's whiskey. She seems fairly plain, dressed in black slacks and long sleeved shirt. Clearly the help is not meant to be the main attraction in this club.
Fuchs
MIrage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1235

Mhhh...

A generous sip from her drink does help Haywire relax. She leans back, but it's not long until she tries to sit with more poise again, so as not to look bad compared to the rest. She looks the elf over, musing.

Maybe a boytoy? Or is this an act?

Taking another sip, Haywire switches her perception to the astral plane again, to check out the elf's aura. It may be rude, but... she's curious. And the elf is annoying.

[ Spoiler ]
Tabula Rasa
Cool Runnings, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1240

Haywire shifts her senses and gazes into Hiroshi’s aura. He seems to be very emotionally calm – the dominant emotion by far in the mix – with a hit of general satisfaction. His aura however, is pockmarked with telltale signs of heavy artificial modification. Just as Haywire is about to get the last of her read, Hiroshi’s eyes flicker away from the crowd and stare straight into hers and he grins knowingly.
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1240

How did he notice...?

Taken aback for a second, Haywire just nods, and keeps assensing the elf for a second longer, then refocuses on the physical plane. She takes another sip from her drink to cover her embarassment at getting caught watching.

Heavily cybered - or modified...
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1240

Hiroshi doesn’t seem offended or to particularly care much and goes back to watching the crowd. Outside of that glance he doesn’t seem much concerned about anyone sitting at the table than Makeda.

Secoiya and John seem whole preoccupied by the dance floor, probably trying to decide when is a good time to go dance.

After laughing at another one of Hiroshi’s whispered jokes, Makeda leans in towards Haywire, tilting her head which makes a soft pile of her hair to slip off her shoulder and fall behind her back, “so, what do you think of the place?
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1240

"It reminded me of a bug hive" is probably not the right answer...

"Impressive."

Haywire hesitates - she doesn't want to insult Makeda, in case this was her favorite club - then goes on.

"But it feels a bit ...calmer, colder than other clubs I was in."

Of course, in the past, we were usually partying like there was no tomorrow when on leave, and often that was the case...

Haywire empties her glass to avoid biting her lips. She can't help but feeling ungrateful criticising the club she was invited to by Makeda - especially since Secoiya's reaction made it clear that it was a big deal. But to lie to the elf would be bad as well...
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1245

"Yeah, I know what you mean," she says leaning in so she is talking right near Haywire's ear. "It can be fun to get sweaty dancing in a hot club sometimes," she says and brushes her hand down her dress onto her leg, "but dresses like these can't be rubbed around in other people's sweat."

Secoiya leans in and pokes Haywire's knees and points back with her thumb to the dance floor and she asks with a smile, "want to join us?"

As she speaks Makeda subtly presses her hand on Haywire's leg as if she'd rather she stay.

Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/12/2070 – 1245

I wonder if a Makeover spell would help with that... Oh...

Haywire is, again, slightly overwhelmed by the elf's sheer presence, and takes a second to register and answer Secoiya's question. Her first impulse is to agree - dancing sounds like fun - but it would mean to leave the table, and that seems kind of wrong.

"Ah, not right now, thanks."

I need another drink.

Haywire orders another whiskey through her commlink, even though she's starting to feel the effect of the first glass, feeling a bit flushed. At least she thinks it's the whiskey.
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0100

Sec and John lose themselves on the dance floor. Even through the dimmed sound at her booth, Haywire can notice the music tuning up as the club gets more packed heading towards 1 a.m.

Makeda seems to be drinking much heavier than she remembers her drinking before. Though to be fair; Haywire hasn’t known Makeda all that long. She continues to chit chat with Haywire, occasionally tilting her head to the other side to listen to something Hiroshi whispers in her ear, eliciting the same subdued laugh each time.

[ Spoiler ]

At one point, while Makeda is leaning over the table pouring herself another drink, Haywire notices Hiroshi get up to talk to a tall dark man in a sharp suit. She wouldn’t normally take notice but while they talk she sees Hiroshi put his hand around the man’s shoulder but a closer look makes it obvious that his thumb is hooked around the man’s neck and he is making a lot effort to not show that he is in pain.

After Hiroshi whispers something in his ear he pushes him off and sits back down on his old spot as if nothing ever happened.
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0100

Ah... like Cinderella, tomorrow John's gone...

Haywire smiles at the sight of the dancing couple, then turns her attention to Makeda and her drink again, occasionally glancing around. When she spots the elf's actions, she blinks.

I really need to get me some ear buds with amplifiers and filters... wonder what that's about.

On a whim she looks at Makeda's neck out of the corner of her eyes, looking for signs of a bruise.
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0100

Haywire can’t make out any bruises on Makeda’s neck, though the illumination is poor and he skin is dark so maybe she is just missed a subtle bruise.

She catches Haywire looking at her and grins playfully, “now what are you looking at?
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0100

Busted again. Haywire blushes, even though she doesn't know why.

First Hiroshi spotted me assensing, than Makeda spots me spotting...

"Ah... nothing."

Haywire has no idea how best to broach the subject, and doesn't want to ofend with possibly unjustified suspicion, so she just refills her drink and busies herself until Hiroshi returns.

Once the elf has rejoined the table, and fueled with liquid corage, Haywire adresses him directly.

"So, Hiroshi... what business are you in?"
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0100

Makeda smiles at your response and sinks back into the booth with her drink. She is definitely a bit drunk.

When Haywire asks Hiroshi what he does he leans over Makeda leaning his left elbow on the table so he can be practically face to face. The way he moves and his mannerism almost reminds Haywire of a snake. "I hurt people who make people angry enough to pay me to do it," he says with a smirk.

Makeda clearly hears him because he isn't whispering but she is clearly unphased by his response.
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0100

A bruiser... or killer.

If not for the liquor in her system, and the memories of that bug lair earlier, Haywire would have recoiled. As it is, she grins.

"Ah. Do you only hurt people, or do you hunt critters too?"
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0100

"Well, you know what they say," and he leans back into the booth with his glass of vodka, "one you've hunted a sentient animal, it's hard to go back."

Makeda laughs in the same way she laughed whenever he whispered something in her ear and downs the rest of her drink. She then rubs Haywire's hand and says, "don't take him too seriously..."
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0100

Haywire shrugs, chugging down her drink.

"Those who say that never hunted bugs."

Haywire smiles at Makeda, but she does take Hiroshi as seriously as she can.

He reminds me of Blake... same attitude. God, I wonder if Blake was really shouting "this is great sport" before he was shredded by that wasp, or if the medic made that up.
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0105

He laughs hard and slaps his knee, “oh, that’s good. Hiroshi turns to Makeda, “where fuck did you find this girl. Anyway, I got to take care of some business for a few, I might be back later.

He stands up and plants a kiss on top of her head, winks at Haywire and slips into the crowd.

Makeda shakes her head a bit drunkenly, “he is a funny guy.
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0105

Yes, like Blake...

"If you like dark humor..."

Haywire refills her glass, but doesn't drink from it yet.

"Where did you meet him?"
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0110

“Hmm… how did we meet? she takes another long sip of her drink and slowly pours herself another glass, “I think one of my customers referred me to him for something I needed and we hit it off. He’s really charming in his own way.

She smiles and puts her arm around Haywire’s waist pulling her close, “thanks for coming out tonight, but if you want to join your friends down there go ahead. I’m a little too tipsy to dance but I don’t want to keep you from having fun.
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0110

Oh...

Haywire feels tingly again, close to the elf, and flushed. She shakes her head, slowly.

"I'd rather not dance, I am still a bit sore from last night, and I think I have had a bit too much to drink to dance as well."

Without realising it, Haywire relaxes, feeling comfortable but excited at the same time. Leaving the elf doesn't feel right in any case.
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0250

Time seems to pass fairly quickly. Mirage's manager comes by to make sure the table has everything they need and he leaves after getting a waiter to replace all the bottles.

Eventually Secoiya and John sit back down and she tells Haywire, "hey, hon. We are thinking of leaving for the night, you don't mind do you?"
Fuchs
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0250

I'd have left long ago in their place - after all, John's leaving soon.

"No, no, enjoy the night, you two."

Haywire grins at the couple, waving them off. Then she turns back to Makeda. Haywire's pretty tipsy by now herself, and has long since stopped trying to sit perfectly posed.

"So... want to finish those bottles too?"
Tabula Rasa
Mirage, Kingston - 06/13/2070 – 0310

"Well, maybe not all of it," Makeda says as she hefts the full bottle of vodka, "don't wan't to die this young."

She pours out to glasses worth leaving plenty of room for mixings, "but lets see how far we can get."

A few glasses later Hiroshi comes back. As he sits down, Haywire notices he is bleeding from a cut on his lip.
