Highbourne - Was originally a SR3 character, and was an albino elven mage specializing in utility spells and powerful elementals. He was snooty as hell, and honestly believed his albinoism (the silver eyes and hair version) made him one of the few and ancient "Highbourne" elves of old. He played off his allergy to pollutants as being an annoyance to him because he was always having to traipse through "unclean" environments.

Klettur - Rock in another language, though I can't remember which at the moment. (Coulda been Polish for all I remember). He was a Troll cyber-tank and heavy weapons platform.

Triggerchip - Skillwires laden gunbunny. Eventually the street name dropped off and everyone just used his real name instead because of his attempt to go legit with his crew.

Crash - Dwarven wrecking ball adept. Known for making entrances and exits through most any material.
DTFarstar
Lex Reverto - Twisted Path Wiccan mage who thinks his Goddess determines directly who his magic does and does not work on dependent upon their deeds.

Jazzy Janet - I have no idea why she wants to be called this, but none of us respect her wishes and we largely ignore her if we can.

Haywire - A rigger/hacker/drug creator/mechanic/demolitions man who the GM hates and has largely been useless so far because he never leaves his cocoon and just tries to con the DM to make money with no security, no mafia or yak payoffs, and no distribution network with a CHA of 2 and a NEgotiations of 1 and no other influence skills and he makes and tries to sell drugs on the street. So... yeah, no idea why he's still alive.

Other character is new and i can't remember his name right now.

Chris
Ranger
My group's characters are nicknamed as follows:

Keebler: An Italian elf street samurai. One of his contacts is his good buddy who always calls him the slur "Keebler"--in a joking manner, of course--and the name stuck.

Enigma: Japanese human elf-poser technomancer. I haven't been told the official reason for the nickname, but I can surmise that it's because she's such a good hacker that no one knows who she is in the Matrix. Hence, she's an enigma.

Wasabi: Japanese human adept, face of the team and unarmed martial artist expert. "Wasabi" because she's hot and spicy.

Overcast: Japanese human magician. The overprotective older brother of Wasabi, who has a tendency to go nuts and overcast combat spells if anyone injures Wasabi.
Zombayz
Munchies: Drug loving(autoinject system loaded with Kamikaze), speed loving(Ares HVAR and MBW 2), people loving(only as a snack) human ghoul from the the Mojave desert. His only social interaction, or rather the only interaction the team lets him have, is with his gun, Amanda(Ares HVAR with weapon personality), and the team itself. Famous for having literaly tied up with rope and having a bag put on his head so he wouldn't see the 'tasty morsels(children) while going through a school zone.

He still saw them on the astral and almost broke out and got one.

Also, never forget the ever useful Mr. <Insert Color here>

I actually was named Mr. Pink on a run when I was too young to know what reservoir dogs was. My character (an elf) literally said "Why do I have to be mister pink?"
and then his Ork partner said "Because you're a faggot, that's why!"

It was pretty surreal when I saw reservoir dogs many years later.

Mr. Octarine?

First off, I really like this thread. I personally like the cyberpunk flavoured names best, they're usually clever and, I don't know, jarring in some way. Here's a few of the names we use in our game.

Ah Mae Sing: Face
Catastrophe Black: Adept
Cupid Stunt: Street Samurai
Delta V: Rigger
Mojo Flux: Mage
Nai Hilistic: Leftist Militant
Rigger Mortis: Rigger
Liquid Valentine: Civilian
ElFenrir
Some names I've used:

Lexiss F. Kiesl: Combat Mage
Abel Faust, AKA Alastor: Elven ex pit-fighter/convict/muscle/even somewhat of a faceman
Leon Sparda: Repo man for hire
Alexander ''Magnus'' Grondal: Street Samurai
Henry Nigelson: Battle Butler
Harper E. ''Hampton'' Wallace: Troll Hacker
Evelia ''Jaina'' Wellington: Human enchantress/alchemist/magical scientist
Walter ''Spanky'' Mcgee: Troll(Fomori) Fixer

Sorry to disappoint, guy. He's a vehicle specialist with emphasis on speed. "Delta V" was something I came up while going through my old physics books. In formulae "delta" stood for the change in value, and v stood for velocity. Delta V stands for the change in velocity.

Now that is a Prime Runner that must have a story or twenty!

He did all most all the 1st and 2nd edition runs, never played in 4th ed, it was too troublesome to convert his statistics ... So that makes a lot of bad stories ! After 7 years of living in a van to be always on the move, the best he could do was joining the FBI to get some sort of protection ... He survived 3 group full wipes (that is everyone died except him) by either letting his group down, fighting his way out, and killing his group in exchange of his survival.
Survival of the fittest ... (Who said Shadowrunners where good people ?)

Where did you pull the image for Ah Mae Sing? I like it.

That's a photoshoot that I found a long, long time ago, and kept because of that bug on her shoulder. I always had the idea that I could use it as a character picture for some insect shaman or other. The girl in the photo is the actress and model China Chow, of The Big Hit fame.

In one group or ours, we had...

Phantom (stealth), Ghost (adept-hacker), and Spectre (mind-mage). Later on, Phantom was later known as "Apparition" Lots of ethereal names in that game. However in the end, we all died. I wonder if we now haunt those that killed us in our name-sake forms?

Me personally, the best character name i have come up with has been Nex Addo...next to my namesake of course.

Geeze, "Ghost" must be like the "Smith" of Shadowrun. biggrin.gif
JudgementLoaf
Lets see..... a few of the more memorable ones.....

Tuxedo
A trigger-happy psychopath with a very nice set of clothes, inverted iris (black exterior, white interior, no pupil) cybereyes, and a top hat. A combat monster with a huge bounty on his head, he had a habit of shooting his way out of everything. I do mean everything.

Paul Bunyan
Axe wielding street tough from the wilds of Alaska. Capable of cutting through an entire police station (a lot of luck involved here, let me tell you...) to "post bail" on one of the other team members. Eventually lost his leg to a hand grenade and was forced to sign on with a AAA corp to pay for the replacement.

Big Bobby
Old, old orc fixer. Created during the early days of SR2, before I realized there was an effective age cap for the orcish metavariant. Ended up liking him so much that I kept the age aspect of the character for style points. Has about the demeanor of a stereotypical "old master", and due to his shadowrunning days is tough enough to match. Independently wealthy due to some good investments, he is fair with his client base as much as possible.

Herman the Sherman
Herman the Sherman was born in Germany with a penchant for bad 80's movies and a natual understanding of tank shock tactics. He followed in a long standing family tradition by entering military service, albiet 2 years too early with the help of a fake SIN. Being rejected twice for a position within the armored services, Herman was finally placed within an assault infantry company after some "minor" surgical procedures. Developing some technical skill during this time, Herman managed to remove the RFID's from his gear during his 1st tour of duty and went AWOL. Ever since, Herman has lived in the shadows, offering his overwhelming firepower to the highest bidder.

Hotwire
Hotwire was a very enjoyable street sam who started out as a lowly wage slave. After a bungled surgical order left him with a MUCH higher grade of skillwires than his parent corp intended for him to have, he left the company (before they could retrieve their lost hardware), stealing a couple hundred skillsoft programs. Most were useless or never intended for use outside the company, but the few that were actually useful allowed hotwire to start a new life as a mercenary for hire in downtown Seattle. A few minor surgical procedures later, and hotwire was playing with the best of the best in a mafia run crime ring.

Samantha
Scanner: A rigger/hacker who was nicknamed Scanner by a former runner cum black-market dealer. She was always very perceptive, much like a scanner.

Spike: Taken from a Terry Pratchett book, this chain-smoking Ork was nicknamed Spike by a few friends in the Lonestar force because she tended to rub people the wrong way.

Patches: Dog shaman. 'nuff said.

It's also a brand of industrial process control hard and software, made by Emerson.
tete
Guppy - People used to tease him about being called guppy, he never said where he got the name. Then one day he walked calmly into a firefight, he was the only one who left alive... No one on the streets teases him about his name anymore.
R-Caine
One of my favorites is "Dirty" Larry Kalahan an Ork Ex-Lone Star Detective. Kicked off the force after being arrested and imprisioned for dispensing his own brand of justice. He is cyber-adept who specializes in stopping magical threats.
Sir_Psycho
A stealth adept I GM'd had a contact, Jane McMaster, who was a corp decker working for Novatech. She had the "Distinctive Style" Flaw and had a thing for acid/neon green. She had bright green hair, a bright green trenchcoat and mirrorshades. Her handle was "Master Blaster". Very 80's cyber-punk.
Voran
For instant name recognition: "Nobody"

Who did that awesome hit? Nobody did.
Cadmus
ok so nobody did the hit, who's the fixer,.....
CanRay
No no no, Who was the Target, What was the Fixer!
