Cue the dead body on the sidewalk.

True, though that will probably change if he keeps shooting.
Wonder if we can help the other team get away, and then convince them that the gun drones were the Lone Star detective's backup.

As long as we don't kill them, that can be managed.

That'd make for one hell of a save. Chuck Reaper into the car and race away into the night, with the rotodrone in "hot pursuit" carefully firing around the car to reinforce the lie. Then it'd just be a matter of getting Doll out and finding Gearhead.
Oh, and not getting caught by the real Lone Star. Stupid details.
Edit: And I think Snowflower is up

so I think I've got a problem, Rosie has another pass and i don't. So, does she fire again? or , since the guy fell and the gun was dropped to the ground, will she stop..?
yea, getting doll out of the hotel would be tricky and time consuming, and we'll have to see how the mage reacts.
do i need to post for buds retreat or will that be covered in a narration?

As far as Rosie goes, how much of a "safety margin" is built in in her orders so she isn't too easily fooled by enemies that play dead?
Fuchs
May 15 2009, 12:04 PM
To DireRadiant: Roll your most applicable social skill for the "cease fire" command.
Also, who does Snow Flower check for a pulse, the "cabbie"? The Lone Star Officer is not unconscious, his last action was shooting at the Cabbie.

Did you mean the mage overcast and went unconscious here instead?
I edited my post to add the default leadership test roll.

I imagine she would stop if he wasn't moving or holding a gun. it might leave her open to people playing dead, but it would also prevent wasted ammo shooting at actually dead targets.
perception check maybe?

Hey guys,
I've been very busy lately and I just came back to our thread for the first time in maybe 10 days. I'm trying to catch up but I find the pace of this game to be probably way too quick for me. I'm sorry to say this, but I think I have to leave for lack of time IRL.
Truly sorry to have to go, I really liked the characters of this game and it is looking promissing. Enjoy it and I apologize again.

Snow Flower intends to cast Influence on the LS Cop - 6 Turns, while applying a R4 Stim patch to the cabbie to get him on his feet, hopefully without him getting the idea to keep shooting, and summon a spirit and use it's powers to help her leave. Is that going to work as a single post, or do we want to break it down into steps and resolve as we go? For example if the Cab Driver wants to stay and fight after he gets the stim patch that could complicate things, but if he simply gets in the cab with Doll and leaves that would be good.
Hmm, not worth waiting, I'll just post IC the first part, what Doll and the Cabbie do will be dealt with as they come up.

Lucky Eddie’s is a little hole-in-the-wall where everything tastes the same — like smoke — and everyone is welcome so long as you don’t cause trouble. Eddie’s Arcade became known as Lucky Eddie’s after it escaped serious damage from a fire that leveled the rest of the block, a local riot, and a Yak/Mafia shootout — all in the same week. Eddie takes it easy and serves the drinks and food to a clientele mostly of plant workers at night and local kids during the day.
> Eddie’s is just Eddie’s. When you blow that job, or want to wallow in a little misery, it’s a good place to be alone or find someone whose day was worse than yours.

I'd not call it a mess yet, but I think a few of you may have forgotten that the premise was that the runners already did a run together before this. So, there could be a bit more trust than is currently showing.
Splitting up to gatehr info is not neccessariyl a bad idea though.

Not necessarily. I've butted heads with people over differences of professional opinion after working with them for 6 or 7 years. I figure that the trust banked from the last run is why everyone is calming down rather than continue riling each other up.
