what hobgoblin said. satellites shotgun their signal over their entire footprint; they don't need to know the location of the reciever any more than a radio or television station does. satellite uplinks are slightly more directional, but it's still more of a cone than a ray.

Damn skippy they are. You can toss a fixed satellite dish on some of the larger vans and deck in utter security.
