I'd like you to read my cards, madame. I'm a little lost in the woods. Need some clarification. Like always, I'm grateful you even pick up the phone.

Inside Command Center
Again calling up his comms section, Morn shoots a message out to Scratch, using the previous link.

On the Phone w/Madame Latvia - Jack @Jack:
[ Spoiler ]
Madame Latvia laughs. "Lost in the woods. You're more right then you know, Jack. You're going to get much more lost before you're found." There is the sound of shuffling cards and a muffled Romanian chant that you've heard a million times. After a moment, she continues.
"You have two choices at this point. Two paths through the woods. Each one brings you danger, tragedy. One will bring you answers and one will bring you peace. It's up to you to choose. The Gray Man can be trusted to do what is right... but, that does not mean he is safe. Oooh, there is darkness around you, Jack. Much... much darkness. You must be careful." Her voice drops an octave. "When Heaven is full, the dead shall walk the Earth..." The call disconnects. A moment later 120 nuyen deducts from your account.

Beckett seems unsupprised at the mention of a tracking device.
Not supprising, pretty sure most corp gear would have a tracking device of sorts on it for storage and usage tracking.I mean no disrespect what so ever to you Colonel, but if you are not the one co-ordinating Horizon's forces here just who is. We really don't want to have to be dealing with another group causing possible problems. They seem to be planing a mass rescue, which could just cause even more pandemonium than there already is.Ascensing Check[ Spoiler ]

Conference Room, The Command Center - Beckett, Morn, and The Colonel
The Colonel regards Beckett for a long moment, when she does speak her voice is terse. "Mr. Beckett, I have never claimed to be running this particular Operation. In fact, I have made it quite clear - as you may recall - that I am in charge of Communications and Recon ONLY. As you can imagine, I am under quite a bit of stress myself. I understand the situation you find yourself in has gotten more complicated, but, I'm sure that is why the Corporation is paying you the obscene amounts it is. Now, unless you have something further to add, I have a Situation Room to get back too." She turns to Morn.
"You have your job and I have mine. I will do whatever is in my power to facilitate you being able to do your job effectively, but I cannot move mountains... no matter how hard I try."

Morn repairs the condor drone and finishes with the rest of the equipment, tossing the tracker onto the floor.
Then our business is concluded Colonel. My apologies, as ranking officer, we assumed you would be in charge.
Once finished with his gear, he looks to Beckett.
Need anything pulled apart and looked at?

Just the two med kits we organised, otherwise ready to go. Rest of my gear is my own.

Alright, we should move then. We've been here 15 minutes and we're already making enemies. This is more person to person contact than I'm comfortable with.
He moves towards the command front. Colonel, we're ready to get out of your hair and become someone else's problem if your escort force is ready.
back to Beckett
Scratch is on his way back in. Apparently he has the powers to dissapear and reappear. *wink*

Jun 10 2010, 11:31 PM
Agreed, lets move.
With a quick check that he has everything, Beckett follows Morn out of the ready room towards the exit of the building.

QUOTE (Doc Funk)
Scratch makes his way from around the pod, cigarette in mouth. He takes what remains of it out and stamps it with his hoof before giving both Beckett and Morn a curt nod and a deeply apologetic look. "Sorry, needed a smoke after... well, you know. After all that drek earlier." His eyes sort of shift around a bit as he looks at Morn a second time, but it's quickly washed away when he speaks up again. "So, we set?"

Beckett looks over as Scratch reappears though the doorway.
We're going ready or not. In case you have not noticed or heard things have just gotten worse inside there, could be a number of groups going in from the others now.

Morn takes a moment to slave the drone to his commlink, running his own encryption on it and removing any other admin users from the account access. While he's at it, he places a data bomb into the system, concealing it within the user account sectino to tag anyone trying to spoof him. He keys it to go off if commands or queries are sent without first asking for a weather report.
That done, he activates the solar cells to recharge continuosly, keys on the ruthenium skin to run it "stealth" and lets it loose, providing their eye in the sky.
Lets get out of here. Do we have a ride yet?

I believe they will be providing us with an lift and escort to the insertion point. Who knows now. Lets get outside.
Beckett leaves the room heading directly for the exit pushing through anyone brave enough to step into his pathway.

Scratch, still standing by the door, just frowns a bit and makes way for Beckett just in time to avoid a rough shoving. When the door slams shut, the satyr turns and looks at Morn. "I'm guessing you didn't get a chance to talk to him yet, huh?"
With a bit of a sigh, and after waiting for the elf's response, Scratch sulks out behind the troll.

Donald Duck Parking, South Side - Jack & The Heavy Response Team @Jack:
[ Spoiler ]
In a day filled with the surreal, meeting a heavily armored assault team under a giant, grinning Donald Duck head is ... well, par for the course, really. Buchanan turns as Jack approaches, a massive weapons belt already slung over one shoulder. He nods somberly and motions towards the other assembled men and woman, six in total.
"Sgt. Salem, allow me to introduce you to your team. You've already met Private Hill." The blonde elven woman from before nods and smiles slightly. Buchanan continues. "Corporal Reilly and PFC Lane," He indicates a large Irishman and a thin Asian man, both human, "will be providing assault support. Specialist Blake and Private Hill will be handling our communications and recon." Blake is older, perhaps in his mid-to-late 30's, with gray beginning to pepper his hairline. He is human as well. He nods and goes back to assembling some sort of electronic device. "This is Corporal Vega, our Medic." A Latino elf nods and goes back to coiling rope over his shoulder. "And this is Specialist Caballero, our combat mage. A black man rises from a lotus position, standing very, very tall. He nods, his eyes seeming to see just past Jack. He nods to Buchanan, apparently satisfied with whatever he's discovered.
"Sgt. Salem, you've been designated Squad Leader." He activates an AR map, showing the Disney World overlay Jack has seen before. "What do you think, Sargent? What's our best point of entry?"

Jack gives respectful greetings to all memebers of the team, until Private Hill when he gives her a wink and a smile. He turns his attentions to Buchanon and the AR screen.
Well, the team I was origionally came here with have decided to come through here. He points to the north end near Toon Town. I say we go through....here. at the Northeast. Theres a security Kiosk near there, and I think we need to make that our first contact point. Also a place we can easily get back to if shit hits the fan. Also, coming from the northeast will give us a good chance, if needs be, to hook up with the merc team. You never know what we're gonna have to do in there to survive, and I personally think it wouldnt be unwise to do so in the future. They're good people, and good muscle. Even the one with goat legs who fancies himself a demon.
He points out other spots on the map that have already been pointed out to dangerous to go through.
These spots are already too hot and Ill avoid the south side, with that entity you mentioned before, if i can. If we're going in to save lives, I dont see the point of putting ours in more risk then there already will be.
Damn, Im actually nervous.
He looks around a moment at his new team.
What do you guys think?

Parking Lot - Horizon Encampment - Morn, Scratch, Beckett & the Escort Team
Stepping outside, there is a heightened sense of tension in the air. From the park, the sounds of screams and explosions are growing louder and more frequent. It's apparent, for whatever reason, something is changing... or starting.
In front of the trio, are three heavily armored CityMaster's - each one outfitted with an elaborate sensor array and emblazoned with the Horizon logo. (In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find something NOT marked with the Horizon logo.) Milling about the CityMasters are several men and women in uniform. Most look like they're doing final weapons or vehicle inspections.
A redheaded troll woman steps forward as you approach. She nods curtly. "Gentleman, we're your escort team. I'm Lt. Sakai. The driver of your CityMaster is Sgt. Arrowchis. We'll be taking you in to the CZ, and also handling your extraction." As she speaks, she indicates a tall Amerind man standing near the center CityMaster. "So, where we headed?"

The elf calls up the AR map they've been reviewing, highlighting the quiet section in the north end of the park, behind Toon Town.
This is our infiltration point. If you can get us there and drop us quietly, we'll be out of your hair.
