Hello all! This was previously posted in the GM/Player Registry section but it was suggested to me that I repost the thread here as I might have better luck at it.

I was hoping to find players and in particular a GM to play a PbP game either through these forums or through another service. I would normally be willing to GM, but I am currently GMing two games in RL and was hoping for a chance to play. Making it PbP instead of some form of Live Chat would also be better since it means I don't have to invest more time than I have available into this game.

DrZaius and I were PMing one another so there are at least us two interested, and Macavity was participating in the original thread so that would be a possible third. Already a good start for a runner team, all we would need is a good GM.

I'd love to play in a game with a few individuals as well if this gets going, I've tried the PbP thing before and only had it fizzle out before things even got going. I'd love to give it another shot, but since I'm just about to start running a game irl I'd much prefer to play as well...

usually gms looking for players will post up a recruitment thread, so you can try looking for those if no one volunteers. here's one that's still open.

yeah, everyone would rather play, so i find these "players seeking GM" threads to be a somewhat fruitless

Now in truth, I've never GMd a PbP game. Though I'd be willing to try. My largest concern with it is are rolls done or is it more of a free form roleplay kind of thing? But I run a game IRL at the moment, though I've got plenty of free time and I've got a few idea floating about for a game.

rolls are usually done individually and posted up. some people like to use invisible castle so they can link to their results. unlike in tabletop, where you can see everyone roll the dice, we usually go by the honor system, and i'd like to think that we're a pretty honorable bunch for people who roleplay as murderers and thieves.

I've got no problem by people going by the honor system. Oddly enough... there is something trustworthy about people who play shadowrun. And we are not thieves! We're.... freelance asset adjusters.

So now I must ask this terrifying questions. Who all would be interested in a PbP game? I'd want to go with anywhere from 4PCs to 6PCs. Anymore than that and I'd start to lose my mind.

I've been wanting to play in a PbP for a long time. I've gotten in on two, but both were abortive attempts as the GMs suddenly and mysteriously vanished without a trace after about a week. The ones that do start up either don't interest me (I feel restricted with just 300 BPs) or they fill up before I can get in on them. I'm a good player, I swear, and I would check every day! :'(

I've got some characters laying around from long dead PBP games. I'm up for another shot. I have one game that I've been playing for over a year (Plato o plomo) I'm on here everyday(just about)
