As he walked the matte-silver ball rolled back down the wall, over to him and up his leg, into his waiting hand. Both arms whirred as sections opened up, allowing the pistol and small drone to be concealed again.

After following a little way and using his current disguise as an excuse to drop more deeply into the network, Fractal sets about tracking down the recipient of the interloper's comm connection. It takes a little bit of effort, as whoever is running the other end seems to be actively hiding their tracks, but in the end it isn't enough of a deterrence to keep him from pinning down the other signal to an area about 3 blocks away. The exact location is impossible to pin down, as the connection is wireless, but at least it's a starting point.
Meanwhile, back at the shrine proper, Max manages to track down an attendant to inquire about a private meditation space. The man looks a little suspicious at first, but seems to be reassured with the reminder of Monkey's impatient nature. "We are a bit busy at the moment, but I'll see what we can do to avoid displeasing Sun Wukong." His eyes seem to wander a bit, likely checking an AR menu to see what's available. "Ah, it looks like we do have a small room available at the moment. If you'll follow me, I can lead you there right away."
As Ting-Ting, Dr. Yang and Dante attempt to follow the man discreetly, increasing the gap between them to perhaps allay his suspicions, they see him turn and walk into a small shop that appears to have some kitschy souvenir items displayed out front.
A moment later, Fractal sees an AR message come in across the encrypted connection, and a quick response from the man goes back out.

Once she is near the destination, she begins to concentrate on her chi to muster her inner strength.

His left arm once again buzzing and shifting, the small sphere appeared from inside the hidden compartment. Dante mentally sent it a message, this time commanding it to roll up onto his shoulder and to be on the lookout for threats.
<<[Dante]: Ok, I'm heading in. Fractal, be ready to jam his transmissions if possible. Dr. Yang, I don't plan on this getting physical, but if it does, I know I can count on your wisdom. Ting-Ting, let's see what his friend does. And Max...ask Monkey for some guidance here or something.>>
Dante headed into the store. Not immediately seeing his quarry, he mentally flicked on the radar sensor in his cyberarm to give him a more detailed layout of the store and it's interior. He hoped he could sort this out; having the Vory as a possible enemy was not something that put him at ease. Then again, pretty much any move made in the shadows was bound to anger some powerful group or other. It was a fine balancing act, walking a knife's edge of danger, obligation and guanxi. As Dante turns into the shop the man disappeared into moments before it is quickly apparent that the place is a small souvenir and snack shop, with the kitsch displayed out front as an attraction to the tourists that walk about the area, especially on the holiday. An elderly man looks up briefly from his perch behind the counter, but quickly returns to dealing with the woman in front of him. The conversation is hard to make out, but doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary.
It's not immediately apparent where the man went to in amongst the shelves, but Dante's sensors quickly determine that there's only one other person in the store besides the woman and the clerk, and they appear to be headed towards the store's bathroom, if the AR overlay is to be believed. It also appears that there is another door near there, but its function isn't marked.
As this pursuit goes on Fractal sees another message go past from the man's 'link. <He's following me. See how long it'll take Alexei to get here. I'll try to get him in the alley.>

There are quite a few people wandering around, taking in the sights or heading towards their destinations. A few are resting on benches, watching the others pass them by in the cool afternoon.

It doesn't take long before Dr. Yang's watcher spirit shows up on the astral to lead him to where the others are pursuing the man who was following Dante.

The man keeps slowly walking towards the back, but he's obviously also working on some kind of response as Dante's commlink flashes up another message about the time the man reaches the bathroom door. <Don't draw any more attention to yourself by stopping now. I'll leave the door to the alley open, shouldn't be anyone else there this time of day.> He continues to walk towards the back, opening the unmarked door and heading through without waiting for Dante's response.
Dr. Yang has no trouble noticing the door open and the man exit into the alleyway. It appears the man hasn't noticed the well-disguised canine, as he glances around the area and shoves part of a nearby trash bag into the doorway to keep it from fully closing. That done, he moves a little way down the alley in the direction of the park, then pulls out a pack of cigarettes, lights one and leans back against the wall waiting for something as he pulls deeply and slowly exhales the smoke.
Another message in Russian goes across the link between him and the man in the park, <Guess Alexei won't be here in time then. Hopefully he's not planning on beating me to death or anything. Maybe you should find us someplace quiet if he's going to play nice. I'll be behind Han's.>

He pauses for a moment, taking a long draw on his cigarette, eyeing Dante and the surroundings before exhaling smoke and finishing quietly, "Boss isn't too pleased with what you pulled last night. Could have cost us big. But, you're right that this isn't the place to talk. There's a decent noodle place down the road a little way, in the mood for a beer? Feel free to bring your lady friend."
As this is going on Fractal sees another message and response go past in Russian while he plots out a way to extricate Dante should that become necessary.

The astral seems relatively innocuous to Max's practiced eye, though the number of people in the area between the shrine and this alley make picking out individuals a bit of a chore. The alley itself seems to be fairly clear though, with only the auras of Dr. Yang, Dante and a third person being obvious.

Ting-Ting has no problems following the man, especially with the assistance of the AR pointer. He doesn't seem to be in a particular hurry, but he continues to follow a path that looks likely intersect the road the others took away from the shrine.

At one point he momentarily ducks into a nearby alleyway, apparently making sure that no one is following him, but the AR pointer makes it easy for Ting-Ting to maintain a safely undetectable distance.
Fractal's monitoring indicates that a relatively significant portion of the data incoming to this link is being copied across to the other encrypted connection.

Using the AR ordering system at the entrance, Dante gets a table near the back and puts in an initial order for various dim sum dishes and a few containers of beer. Settling in to his chair, he waits for the other man to also settle himself before continuing.
"So, it seems we need each other's help. Your boss wants information on me. Instead of you having to go through the effort to do all of this sneaking around stuff, why don't you just tell me what you need to know? So much easier for you. Your wife and kids will be thankful that their dad is home early today." Dante says this last with a smile.
