Right now Void is just waiting on a reply from Ivan. Whatever is in the back room may or may not be practical, but Void is probably likely to come out of there with something, useful or not.
The stolen commlinks will probably be good enough from him (assuming one is offered to him) - his computer skills are minimal, so a relatively secure commlink that is not his own, that he can use to communicate with the others, is all he really needs (or at least thinks he needs).

I think, the team kept one for each team member. Let's just say so. I'm on to Ivan next.

Hopefully that suits everyone's liking. I had to work to dehumanize Jovan a bit and emphasize more of his monster side here, which I feel I have not been portraying satisfactorily IC recently (and my writing has kind of suffered for it). I still feel like he's missing a bit of psychopathic-monster flair, but I think I did a better job with this one than the previous bringing-out-the-monster-inside-him interactions he's had.
I will finish the gear request thing soon. Sorry for the delay, pbangarth. I hope things are going more smoothly at work now.

Remeber that Jovan doesn't want anyone else to know that he is Nosferatu, so he might try and play better with others and be more out of character than he normally is when working with his food.

That is indeed what he does - he is reasonable, morally complicated, and relatively normal when working with others, but when he is feeding on people and/or hunting and tormenting the people he deems to be "bad" (sometimes one and the same thing), like here, he becomes very inhumanly cold and sadistic. That's probably going to be what he does if and when we catch the Blind Man, for example. I've just been having some difficulty lately with properly getting into the mindset of someone like that. But it makes him a psychologically interesting challenge to RP, and I like that about his character.

Out tonight, all night, for Nuit Blanche. The city stays awake and alive through the night, with art, dance, music, food, drink, and freaky stuff best not described in writing. I should be conscious again by Sunday night.

Glyph, here are some game stats for the materials for sale:
ONOTARI URBAN HUNTER (BATTLE RIFLE)
DAMAGE AP MODE RC AMMO AVAIL
9P –3 SA/BF 1 25© 14F
Note: High-Power Chambering is already figured into the stats
The Deathdealer round confers a +1 dice pool modifier to ranged combat tests. The shooter still must have a line-of-sight to their target, as
the round is incapable of sharp turns or other radical movement to engage unseen targets. This modifier is negated if the target is within the effective
range of an area jammer (p. 329, SR4A) as the jammer interferes with the round’s guidance package. If the ammunition is fired as part of a burst or
full auto attack, the entire burst must consist of the guided ammunition or the benefit is lost.
The Deathdealer round is available for Heavy Pistols, SMGs, Assault Rifles, and Battle Rifles.
SHIAWASE ARMS POLICE RESPONSE (SNIPER RIFLE)
DAMAGE AP MODE RC AMMO AVAIL

Sephiroth, the magic tomes etc. will take some work on Jovan's part to find. The Spaniard's connections have no help to give in the esoterica of magic theory. See post #16, and consider the contact to whom Zayne has pointed you. Some leads may further the story line (Hint!), so I would rather play them out, maybe even as side runs. Remember, Professor got framed during the theft of something that falls in the the broad category of the items Jovan seeks.
Sephiroth
Oct 6 2013, 07:08 PM
Ah. I see. So then do I understand correctly that most or all of the four datasofts I had in mind to acquire from the Spaniard's contacts (Insect Spirit psychology, Criminal Psychology, Analytical Methods in Behavioral Probability, and A Thaumaturgical Physicist's Reference Handbook on Magical Physics) would not be available from them?
pbangarth
Oct 6 2013, 08:55 PM
Not from them. Those particular ones may be more available than some of the other subjects you mentioned. Let me know who/where you seek them.

They use the automatics skill.

List of gear equipment that Jovan is interested in procuring from the Spaniard's contacts:
1 Browning Ultra-Power heavy pistol with Advanced Safety Self-Destruct - triggered not by any mechanism in the gun itself, but by a 2-second sustained radio signal at a frequency not in civilian use (I will not pretend to know what radio frequencies would be in common use in Seattle 2072).
1 short-range radio broadcaster to accompany the above, hidden in a pen.
1 Synergist business suit jacket with Fire Resistance 3 and Nonconductivity 3
1 light military armor already mentioned, with Mobility Upgrade 2 and Quick Release
2 Briefcase rockets
1 illusion fetish (hermetic)
1 F6 conjuring materials (hermetic)
4 F3 conjuring materials (hermetic)
1 Magemask
1 gas mask
3 plasteel restraints,
1 thermite burning bar
5 gas grenades of Seven-7
5 astral pigments
2 magecuffs
8 doses of Breathtaker
50 doses of KE IV
2 fake SIN's rating 5
1 dose of Little Smoke
1 dose of Immortal Flower

<OOC Sidebar>
Side note on how the drinking/shooting game works. You start off with a target, you drink a beer or shot of synthahol, shoot it, if you hit you continue if you miss you loose unless your opponent misses their target too. Targets usually start big and go small depending on the skill level of those involved. Until recently any weapon could be used until KD used a blast of scatter shot once the target got to the size of a bottle cap.

For the contest will just go with story telling unless you really want to make up a bunch of dice rolls to figure if Zo or KD wins. At this point I'll just post the conclusion an hour game time later (when the beer will be all gone and they're doing synthohol shots).

Then go ahead and tell a good story. you know these characters better than I do. Once I've seen the style and vernacular you guys use for your contacts, I can chime in more often with the NPCs.
Don't worry, I will be creating my own NPCs too. Like... "Hammer" and "Anvil".

@pbangarth: Just to make sure I understand - the cost is just an entry cost/bribe to get into the club, correct? Or is Zayne asking for a fee for personal services to help Jovan get in? Since the club is exclusive, I'm guessing they might have the prestige or money to hire an Awakened for security warding purposes, so I'm wondering whether I would need to have Jovan be physically disguised in some fashion by Zayne (as merely dropping his Physical Mask spell for the ward and then putting it back up without anyone noticing may require some metaphorical sleight of hand on Jovan's part).
pbangarth
Oct 23 2013, 08:00 PM
Zayne is interested in having a good time at the posh club. So drinks, food... 'special' services, whatever he can negotiate out of Jovan.
Yes, disguise of various sorts would be useful. Patrons of this establishment often try to hide their true identity, so as long as you don't appear aggressive or dangerous, you should be OK.

As to the mission, Zo is going to look up the address of the nearby buildings to the target. Also , Zo got four hits (out of 7 dice) on his knowledge skill regarding who the nearby gangs are to the Spaniards place.
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4220985/Zo got one hit on his knowledge of the Blindman (Blackmarket Weapons Dealers (Seattle) + Intuition=6 dice.

Hey, folks. I would like each of you to provide me three Perception test rolls, please. No modifiers, as these will provide me numbers to use at times when I don't want you to know there is something to perceive. I will add in modifiers on my own.
The part of the 'plex around the Spaniard's safehouse is very much in underworld flux. It is largely under Korean influence, but contested by the Mafia. A local bully boy gang of Chinese character called the Red 8s runs minor protection schemes and drugs. Rumour has it the Korean influence rejects them, and that they have made overtures to the Mafia. The Crush may have heard of them, but frankly they are small fry in comparison.

Arsenal, pg. 28.
Sorry I've been posting slowly for Void. It isn't that I don't have the time, it's that I don't really have a lot for him to do, and now he's zonked out for the night. He is pretty boring when he isn't on the proverbial job - a character like Tasha would be easy to write filler for, but he's more the type to stay at home cleaning his sniper rifle, eating cheap takeout, playing video games, or watching trideo porn, rather than socializing.

I wasn't sure if the dream was just a weird dream, or some premonition of danger. Finally decided that, since Void has not really experienced the latter in any way, he is unlikely to be moved to actually go check that corner out or anything similar. He will just dismiss it as a weird dream, at least until he runs into a detail that matches something from the dream.
