@Volker bnc has eaten already in the simulation. You do naturally get hungry though clearly you also eat in RL.

I mentioned drones for a reason. In my image you order a drone and equipment and the drone carries the equipment. Or at least some of it.

The main question was: What can Fox tell us about the caves? How are they secured? Are they inhabited? How are they connected to the Core? How common-knowledge is their existence? Stuff like that

Fox would say "They are the same as the caves you entered the facility from, they are not normally used now as it is no longer easily accessible. I have no intel about the security there."

Unless Nova has the skill, I'll guess our best way is to have bnc default to Intuition:

Are the sensors and guns online?
Do they only watch the elevator? What about the stairs? How many sensors and/or gun systems (online or not) do we need to overcome to reach the stairs?

They are online but on standby; the platforms are not currently loaded. (They can load upon command but still).

They are flexible and can target anything in the cave, and the sensors are omnidirectional, not all visual.

Is anyone waiting for someone else?

They are more alert than they had been, with more active sensors, but they don't shoot at you (or make preparations to do so). They are likely not using all the sensors all the time, for bandwidth and attention reasons, but once there is a movement or some other low level alert they would get a clearer picture.

There is no 'lid' (and I never understood why you need to roll a skill to unscrew a lid - but whatnot).
There is a universal connection port on the scanner, but reaching for it would likely alert the drones even if you do look like drones.

Notice there are two scenes, so you might have to act in parallel.

Also social skills are also a possibility.

I think, the idea is to tinker with the actual electronics, so open it up, so you can get to the platines, cables, chips, and whatever is in there.

No need to roll for that - but the drones may not like you breaking apart the eye scanner.

Also - a con roll would help get the security to leave you alone. Fox would be the leader, but you can help him if you like.

If there is a less obvious way... but that is how the game usually handles it (open it up and then tamper with it), unless you have an item (like a maglock passkey, sequencer, etc.) that can disable the lock.
