Negotiations is one of the many things I'm here for. smile.gif

Negotiation 4: 22, 4, 1, 1

likely only one success...but what a success smile.gif
Ecclesiastes
Give me a bit to post the data on the chip. Today is squring up to be a tough one at work.
Ecclesiastes
D'oh! I lost the info that I need for the chip, so you'll have to give me a little bit to dig it all back up. Or rather, wait for grendel to send it to me. smile.gif
Shadow
So do we have a plan of attack for finding this guy?
BishopMcQ
I'm open to suggestions...
Whizbang
hmm...guess we talk to our contacts, see if they know anything about Shark and Hopps. And I can take a look and see if I can get anything from those deactivated LTGs. All else fails...we go check the attack scene.
paul_HArkonen
Contacts??? what are contacts for? (just kidding on that, but it tells you how usefull Guns contacts might be)

Gun would be all for going to a nice little walk, in full combat armor at night, by the attack site
gobogen
Okay... etiquette tests now ... getting in touch with contacts

With Leo for later that day, by phone: 1,3,5
With my Priesthood of Father Sky Shamans, at the house: 2,2,10
With Justinius, the founder of the group: 4,4,4
With Polar, my talismonger: 3,5,7

Edit: Yeah... we'll go to the attack site in the evening smile.gif
paul_HArkonen
I have a simple question, and it's odd, mostly cause i'm not used to having a datajack.

Is it possible to plug headware memory, through a datajack, into a Psec?
Ecclesiastes
Yes. You can plug the Psec into your jack and command it mentally and swap any files you have stored on it into your head memory.
Ecclesiastes

Throw a post in IC so I have something to reply to. Its the role play part of the game. smile.gif
gobogen
Sure I will... I just didn't feel like writing it all down at first today nyahnyah.gif

Etiquette rolls:
Info on John Doe (via LTG): 1 4 4 8
Info on "in the area": 1 2 4 5
Buddy roll for interesting "missing persons" investigations or HMHVV:
2 4 4 16

Ecclesiastes
When you ask about John Doe, can you be a little more specific? Are you asking about Shark by name, or just asking about info on the disconnected LTG number?
Sphynx
Both, Shark and info on whoever had that LTG prior to it being disconnected, please.
Ecclesiastes
Gotcha.

I'm going to assume that we have at least one person who can work as a Rigger.

I also Assume that Gun would know who it was, and also what the best way to transport himself discretely while wearing Light security Armor. (Yes He is our Brick) so if some one could let me know who that would Be it will save us all some time, and Lonestar trouble.
Ecclesiastes
Actually no. I didn't get any Riggers submitted. You guys drive your own cars and whatnot.
paul_HArkonen
oh... Ok, now how to get a man with Full Sec armor to a specific site without having lonestar called a half dozen times... quite a difficulty.

oh well.

Actually, could you wear clothes over top of Light security armor, look slightly fat and the like, but could it be done, at least till he got close to the target area?
BishopMcQ
I've got a high car skill...I guess Sahara and I could go buy a car if no one has one that is big enough to fit the team...It of course would be a regular everyday SUV, no mods
paul_HArkonen
All that i need for Gun is a way to get him there in full combat gear, as per what i thought our plan was, without having everyone in a several mile radius talking about the Azzie security trooper, cause that's what he would look like.

so a car of any type is fine.
Shadow
Paul, you wont need ot be in full combat gear, a secure coat and armored undies will do fine, and give you a ballistic rating of 6, and help you conceal your gear.

Sahara has a bike, but that is bad for snow.
gobogen
Heck.. my character doesn't even have a car biggrin.gif He has to take a cab everywhere he wants to go .... (I assume it's included in High lifestyle but I might be wrong)
Ecclesiastes
gobogen: sorry man, but the contacts just weren't the type to know stuff on this one.
Ecclesiastes
Tomorrow I'll start getting around to your contacts all calling you back. Things moved really fast today and I wanted there to be a little time break before moving things foward.
gobogen
That's okay.. I didn't expect much from them on that one anyways. It just seems logical that my character tells his buddies about this to let them know what he's chasing this time ... While at it, why not ask them if they know anything ...
Ecclesiastes
*nods* I figured it was like that. Totally cool.
Whizbang
All you guys asking decker friends to go data hunting... *is hurt* frown.gif
Ecclesiastes
Never hurts to have extra fingers out there.
gobogen
Ok, of course my character is no smart-ass in front of a computer, so there is no real point in-game for looking on the matrix for info on vampires... just thought that's what he would do. Anyways, he probably knows all there is to know ?? I just wondered what you assume we know about vamps, Ecc.... so I'll throw some roll-playing dice for ya wink.gif

Magic Background: 1,2,3,5,5,5
Paranormal Animal (not sure it's aplicable, maybe default): 1,1,3,4,5,10
Ecclesiastes
I'll let you default to Paranormal Animals. You know that they feed off the blood of the living to survive, but the blood only serves to feed them a person's essense. They become very strong physically and are granted many different powers. They also regenerate damage very quickly.
gobogen
That's all I know !?!?! Gosh ... that's kind of disappointing. So I don't know about wooden stakes, the sun burning their flesh or like ... you know, the usual junk about vampires like garlic and religious symbols ?
Ecclesiastes
Heh, crap, its been a long day. I was only thinking about their strengths. Yeah, you know they are hurt by wood and sunlight.
gobogen
Cool. Sorry, I didn't want to bug you with that.. it just seemed odd to me.
Ecclesiastes
Totally cool. I'm not the kind of GM who thinks his word is law. If any of you think I messed up, just tell me, I'll give it a good look, cause I get absent minded sometimes.
Shadow
*in his best Sly Stallone voice*

I am the law!
Ecclesiastes
Sphynx

You said that you'd meet Jaws later tonight, but its currently about nearing Noon. Are you waiting for several hours to get everyone together, or did you want to get them together quicker than that?
Sphynx
I'm in no rush, I'm just staying local on my version of a "stakeout", staying invis except to go get burgers periodically. nyahnyah.gif I'm not rushing anyone, just waiting and suggesting we not meet at the intersection itself at 10. I've picked out a better location.

QUOTE

To be honest full combat gear is about all he has other than jst normal clothes. Although He could just go and change on top of the building, and set up there, actually that would work well.

Sorry, but like I said he is the very definition of a Brick, as per Grendel's description.
Ecclesiastes
Paul, I need to get this clear... you are getting into a cab wearing full security armor with a long coat over it?
paul_HArkonen
Sort of, my thought was that the long coat would be enough to cover almost all of the armor without the helmet on, if not, no He's not quite that dumb, but I figured that since its winter a heavy jacket, one like an overcoat, wouldn't be out o place, and the bulk an average person would just attribute to a second layer, if not I will figure something else out.
Ecclesiastes
Basicly, the Long Coat adds 4 to the conceal of something under it. Sec Armor has a conceal of 0, giving the armor a conceal of 4... which isn't too good.
paul_HArkonen
4 should be enough to get him someplace in a Taxi which, per the general advances stuff in Rigger 3, likely has tinted windows. without actually frisking him or something like that he's got a Tn of about 6, give or take, I don't have to book on hand so i'm not sure of the exact number.

so in conclusion, yes he is going to ride in a Taxi with sec armor on, He's got it concealed, and with just a visual glance very few people are going to notice anything that confirms its armor, in which case they are likely to stay away from him anyway.
