Yes! WooHoo!!! Yes!!!!! HowdyHooWoo!!!!! nyahnyah.gif

Personal preference is that we come together on our own. As a group of B&E's, we may have heard of each other through reputation, and just started out as friendly rivals to get something first until we had met once too often and became friends. wink.gif

As for location, doesn't matter to me, I think it'd be fine to be in one city of anyone's choosing, or global at large. smile.gif

I like his idea. Friendly rivals who grouped together for companionship and mutual protection. Ariel can live in any city, she's sort of a jet setter.

I'm with Shadow and Sphynx on the whole friendly rivals thing. If nothing else because nothing adds spice like a little one-upsmanship. As for the city, I'd say moving about would suit high-power B&E specialists best (gotta be where the best work is to be had). Buf if we have to pick a single city, make it something European. Too many campaigns end up in Seattle or Denver for my liking. If we're in France (as had been hinted at earlier in the thread), I'd say Nice would be an interesting place to start. It's only a few minutes drive from the casinos (and filthy rich people) in Monaco, there's the engineering college and associated labs of Aix en Provence not too far from there (if we want paydata or research to steal) not to mention a myriad of tiny villages in the mountains where one could disappear in a hurry.

I'm out of the door in 5 though, so my character sheet won't be finalized until late tonight or early tomorrow though frown.gif

I also like the starting out as friendly rivals idea.

I'm going to have to put John's stats through a couple of hoops. In review, especially if he's a B&E guy, not having intiated and taken at least Masking doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

"Oh, sorry guys, there's a force 1 ward there. Looks like I'll have to sit this run out. Good thing I brought my solitare deck."

Actually, Monte Carlo(Monaco) sounds awesome. Definitely a place I'd live if I was a filthy rich thief type, and right on the French border. nyahnyah.gif I don't think there's a more beautiful place in the world, though I don't know how it looks in the 6th world setting of 2064..... It lacks the city-feel of Nice, but even Nice isn't all that city-feeling IMHO (though, perhaps in 2064, that changes).

Friendly rivals works for me. There's just some things you can't get at alone. And global sounds fun. Don't want to get bogged down in one city.

An alternative - seeing as we do have several initates among us - would be that we could have all the awakened come from the same magical group. If so, we'd probably have to sit down and aggree on what the rules of the society are, benefits of joining etc. But it'd be a nice hook for some of the characters to know each other.
Sphynx
We could even do that if we decide to have formed the group (or joined the group) after we'd met. I like the idea of sharing a Magic Group. My character is planned as a Shamanic Sorcerer (though I could do Full Shaman if the need is there).

I created an OOC thread if you want to shift this conversation there, otherwise just remember I need the final versions of everyone's characters by April 2nd.
