Wow!
One question - I couldn't tell from the presentation what was controlling the arm? Was it copying a real arm somewhere with sensors attached?
you can see the arm of the engineer hanging down inside of the artifical one.
as in, the shoulder joint of the artifical one is strapped to the outside of the normal shoulder, but other then that is working fully on its own.
its quite impressive indeed.
and this is from the same people that made the segway.
i wonder what they may be able to produce if they started working on simsense or cybereyes
still, it appears that a external control unit is needed at this stage. there are a whole lot of wires attached to that arm...
