Anchored SPELLS require 1 karma per force to anchor.

While you would need to 'bound' with an Anchoring FOCI, do you actually use the metamagic technique (and thus spend karma for each spell) or is this what the foci provides (re-usable anchors?).

Likewise when anchoring a SPELL the caster resists drain twice. Once to 'cast' and once to 'Anchor'.

When using an Anchoring Foci, does the caster resist once (the mention under anchoring foci says they user casts the spell, but gives no specifics) or 'twice' (as if actually 'anchoring' the spell.

If the caster still pains karma, then it really looks like there is little reason to actually use the Foci. 'Anchored Spells' are sustained as if quickned (forever until disrupted). While Foci only sustain it for Force Hours.

So I would think:

Anchoring (meta-magic):
Requires: Karma = Force
Drain: Resisted twice
Limited: Initiate Grade number of anchors
Spell is sustained (as per quickening)

Anchoring Foci:
Must bond with Foci:
Casting spells into foci do NOT require karma
Casting Spells into foci drain is suffered once
Spell is sustained for (Foci Force) hours

As a related question:

1) While it does state: "Note that dormant anchored spells are invisible on the physical plane, and take up “space equal to the size of the caster."

Are Anchroed Spells (obviously not Foci) 'moveable' do they hang were cast?

2) What means could the non-caster have to trigger. (while the caster per rules can trigger any time). For example. 'Contact' would work, but how could they transport the anchor (if they needed to). It specifcally says 'Hear attack' isnt a valid trigger but can contact be limtied to more precise. 'damage' aura. (I.E. stick needle into you to activate?)

Could 'Contact' and then 'Mindlink' be used to allow a mental command to activate. (if mindlink was one of the detect triggers.).

So: Triggers:

1) Must be in contact.

2) Mindlink (with person in contact) must detect the mental thought 'Yellow Rubber Ducky"

Would those be valid triggers? combined.

In effect is there any legal way to pratically give a person an anchored spell they can trigger on command. (The 'heal potion' etc).
