I sent in a character named Skeez a while ago. He only managed to contribute about 425
to the gang. However, he is a shaman, so he adds some valuable skills and abilities. You know, if you can convince him to help you with something.

Blitzkreig has been sent in. He's a psyad Troll with a mean streak as long as the Trans-Canada highway... which, for anyone not Canadian... is hella long...
[Edit: I misspelled Canadian, eh...]

Alright, I've recived Blitz, and I like him. DH, welcome aboard.
Blitz also put in 59k
, so that puts him in charge at the moment. He's almost the opposite of Ghost, it's kinda funny. Compared to him, just about everyone else is the picture of calm and rational thought.
I also recieved Jake, by Grey, so he's in.
TinkerGnome, my NSRCG didn't want to run your file. Could you send the character again? Preferably in a .doc, this time? However, the game is looking fairly full, so you're not guarenteed acceptance. You'd have to impress the crap out of me to get in right now. As characters die or players drop out, it'll be more likely.
I think I will go with the Bleeding Edge, unless anyone has better ideas. I'll put the first post up fairly shortly.

Not just hella long, but long enough to circle most other people's countries. Possibly multiple times.

Uh, much as I'd like that extra 10 Karma, can't keep the leadership spot in good faith... Kreig only tossed in 5900
I dropped his resources down because I felt he wouldn't be a good startup leader... may challenge some day, but that's another story...

Good enough. Ghost, you have 10 karma.
Also, I will be handing out karma on the fly, as I feel neccicery, and depending on how impressed I am by an action, description, post, etc.

Are we still open?
'cause I'd like to throw in an troll with an anti-drug, anti-elf streak.
He's intelligent, sarcastic and suffers from Chronic Osteocuspus. I'll send him in a a day or two (I have a lab to write)

Feel free to send him, but we're fairly full, so until someone drops out or dies, there isn't a great deal of chance that he'll be accepted. Sorry.

The "protection racket" idea works good for Mickey. It's kinda what he's skilled at. Hey, LM, how many gang members we got besides us lieutannants?
As for gang names, instead of bleeding edge (which is good), which is good, how about "bloody edge?" Makes ya think of a knife pulled outta a wound.
For colours, it could be red and silver (or white if the chrome look offends), with the symbol a straight razor with blood dripping off it.

This is great ! I've always dreamed of a ganger campaign !!!
I'll stay on the waiting list as long as it takes: I really wanna be part of this. Too bad I didn't take a look at the forums this last week.
My character is Reptile, an ork taken straight from the pits of the barrens. A kind of veteran ganger and a good weapon specialist, still.

Nov 22 2003, 10:22 PM
Well, I'm currently in a different town than the list, but if memory serves, about 8 at this point. I've told three guys from the list to go ahead and find ways to write themselves in at their earliest convenience, but they have yet to do so. Granted, this is not an easy part of the game to do it in.
Oh, and Jong, let's make it Techie whom you were related to. For reference, that would also make you related to Junkie. They were brothers, you see.
I could make another gang, yes, but I think I'd like to pour my resources into this one at the moment.

Ok, I'm reading the IC & OOC thread to catch up what I missed during the weekend. Just to be sure, Techie is -errr, was- a NPC and his brother (Junkie) survived, right?
By the way, when should I start?

Alright guys, it's not official at this point, but I may need one or two people for the gang creation game. They've just been booted out of their turf by someone infinatly cooler, and they're pissed off and homeless at the moment.
Tell me, here in the thread, a character concept (no full characters please, just two lines or less, think of it as haiku character creation) that will absolutly knock my socks off. I need solid players with a high posting volume and good roleplay. So, don't be offended if I pick a slightly more mundane character from someone I know the credentials of over a really kickass character of someone I've never even seen before.
I'm willing to discuss this all on MSN, if you'd like. Actually, I'd prefer to meet my players before I let them in (not required though), so feel free to pop me a message. large_mike_ca@hotmail.com
And I know I'm seeming like a bit of an elitist jerk with this, but it's not as bad as it sounds, and I'm just trying to keep play quality high.

Jan 16 2004, 01:49 AM
Skee's a Fox shaman who grew up as a pickpocket in the Puyallup Crime Mall. He steals out of necessity, or for fun, but never greed. You tend to look at material wealth differently when you can take it, make it, or fake it with a wave of your hand. He gets a kick out of what some people will do when a little (illusionary) cash is waved in their faces. Unfortunately, most mundanes don't share his sense of humor.
Better?
Large Mike

Better. And it has possibilities. Pop me a character sheet. And remember, now, more than ever. *very* street level. I want to see poverty and hard times.

Jan 16 2004, 03:16 AM
Expressing interest here as well.
My prospective character is a human adept thief, and grew up as a Renton richboy whose parents both held respectable posititions in an AA corp. However, he fell in with a bad crowd when he was an adolescent, and got kicked out of the house as soon as his folks didn't have a legal burden to support him anymore. Armed with the skills gained from ventures of a misspent youth, he hit the streets, providing for his needs through a combination of pickpocketing, burglary, and scamming.

Oops... Just read your reqs, and I don't think I can trim Skee to fit them. For starters, he's got 400k resources. Feel free to browse
Skee's character sheet, but I'm sure you'll agree. Unfortunately, I don't have anything else handy that might fit the bill any better. Sorry for troubling you

Have gun will travel.
I got a boy named "Sue". He grew up on the streets of Purity. Don't know who his father is and mom died of BTL overdose when he was young. All the family he's ever had were the gangs. He's lived through two. His last one just got wiped out over turff and drug trade. But he's a tough son of slitch and looking to hook up w/ a new outfit.
Actually, he's more like a concept w/ some numbers attached. I kinda think of him as an adept w/ a really high body and a bad attitude (think Clint Eastwood in pretty much any of his westerns) but I could easily change him into a wannabe sam, complete w/ second hand chrome (and a bad attitude
).
I've been following your thread and
dying to get in on it. Thats partially what spawned the character concept. I'd be more than happy to discuss the possiblilty w/ you. I can be reached at kevyn668@hotmail.com or Kevyn668 on AIM. I'd email you but all I have to say is "ohpleaseohpleaseohplease!'
I can have a char to you w/ in, say, 12 hours from point of interest.
ps. ohpleaseohpleaseohplease pick me!!
edit: Sue don't do haiku.

All right, here's what I'll need from Sue. Imma need you to tell me how rough and tumble, down and out he is. I'm looking for major serious amounts of grit right now. So, shoot me a character at your lesiure.
And if you turn into a non-poster, I will kill your character.

I have a character for you named Greg, nickname: Reptile. He's an ork weapon specialist/ganger. Large Mike, I think I sent you my character sheet already; I am on the 'waiting list' if you remember.
Reptile is a hardheaded survivor of the barrens. He was born in the barrens, he made friends in the barrens, he had a family of his own in the barrens, he discovered how life is sometimes completely unfair in the barrens, he faced death many times in the barrens, and he had to kill quite a few people along the way to survive 35 full years in the barrens.
Now, Reptile wanders around the central part of Redmond, selling BTLs for gangers, and doing some protection jobs for people. He earns relatively little money and he is looking to get into a gang at the moment, in order to find again this feeling of having a home.
Reptile has had a hard life, being an ork and living in a dangerous place such as the barrens. Right now he is the only one known to be alive of the 21 children his father, George McTavish, was known to have had. Reptile had his own first daughter at age 15 and he had 5 in total, all before he was 24, with 2 different female orks, both of which were his cousins. After spending some time in prison, he lost contact with all of these people.
He had been part of a gang before, the Silver Medals (that got destroyed), and he has had the opportunity to become a specialist in a variety of weapons.

Well I've been trying to run a gang campaign for ages so this just got my attention. Large Mike if you can deal with another character I have an old character that is a street ganger whose half Jamaican. He's one of the few down and out weed junkies still selling natural stuff on the streets. Between loosing his family, his gang, his girlfriend... etc. He's been scraping by (barely). I can get the character done here pretty soon with a complete background.
