After everyone else introduces themselves, Old Wolf feels their eyes turn to him, focusing on him, like wolves staring down prey. If he had haunches right now they would be raised in defense.
Shaking off the weight of their combined gaze, Old Wolf clears his throat before opening his mouth,

"Ah, magic will be nice considering we're delving into the unknown." Vixen watches the banter for a while before deciding she needs to leave and get ready before morning.
"Well, Lady and gentlemen. I shall depart and get ready for our trip. I'll meet you at the airport; aiming to be there about two hours early to get situated in."
If no one else has any questions she departs out of the room and back to the bar. She just had a little unfinished business to take care off before going home.
"Hello again. By the way, if you see Marc could you pass him this comm number? I'm going out of town for the next few days and I might not be able to return his calls, but I would like to keep in touch." Vixen waited a few moments for the bartender to react before jotting down the number. She slides it over, nodding to the few locals checking her out again and departs into the parking lot.

Longshot nods at Vixen's parting comment "I should be going also." she says hastily, grabbing some meats from the table with little concern for decorum or etiquette, and leaving almost on Vixen's heels, giving the rather distinct impression that she either wants to follow Vixen, or not be in the room with the other two.
Following Vixen doesn't seem to be her intent though, as she passes right by the other woman as she asks the barman to pass on her number. She glances around at the others in the bar, but only with her eyes, keeping her head forward so no one would be able to notice her glancing.
Once safely back at her bike, she takes some time to calm her breathing, unable to suppress the old fear from being surrounded by so many men. She had little real fear of them, knowing she could have defended herself quite well in there, but that didn't stop her body from responding with fear. She toys with the idea of taking something to calm her nerves, but decides against it. Instead she glances around surreptitiously before lowering her mask for a moment to pop a couple pieces of the meat she'd snagged into her mouth, covering her face again quickly. Starting up the engine, she begins to head out of town, gas for her cabin in tow, chewing the meat slowly with her sharp teeth. "Dogs, a wolf, a fox, and me..."

Vixen pulls into the garage of her house after an uneventful trip back from town. Her thoughts were on the job and she spent time memorizing the materials Felix put up in the nod. Vixen already speculated who could be doing it but guessing now might hamper the payday she was hoping to get. After all, living in the shadows requires extensive amounts of money. Once the garage door is secure she runs a security check from her PAN. Nothing unusual happen while she was gone. No attempts to breach the security of the house and nothing on the video monitors. She shakes her head and moves up to the living room dropping her coat into a chair but keeping the pistol secure on her belt. Food is already prepare for her thanks to the luxuries of modern technology. Just order what you want from the road and show up to eat it. While munching on soy meat strips she pulls out her gear and inventories. She packs what she is going to need and checks her weapons, stripping them down and oiling them up.
After all the preparation, she strips down for for a quick shower and hits the sack. She was getting up early to move everything to her vehicle so she would be able to leave for the airport. She drifts wondering how things will turn with the new team. Only one way to find out when they get to their destination...

Despite the fact that she doesn't really need to pick anything up from her cabin, she decides to return there after the meet, if for no other reason than to drop off the fuel that she bought in town 'and maybe bring some of the meat if it is dried enough.' she thinks, having finished off the handful she took from the meet before long, her teeth well adapted to cutting her food quickly.
The three hour ride gives her plenty of time to consider what sort of things might be taking these manager types. Plenty of creatures could be snatching them in that area, but it is odd that they weren't seen, and only managers have been targeted. Even if it wasn't another corp, it meant whatever they were after was most likely smart, and that made things much more difficult, both because it would be harder prey, and because she wasn't exceptionally fond of killing intelligent things.
About the only thing that she can find consistent was that they were all last seen at half past the hour, but that was likely coincidence and rounding at work.
She continues to mull it over after reaching her cabin, double checking that her camera hasn't been tampered with, the only thing that remained on at all times while she was away. It remained offline until it detected any sort of movement, and then went online and contacted her. Perhaps not fool proof, and it would take time to respond to any sort of trouble, but her extreme seclusion alone ensured that burglars weren't a problem.
She throws a critical eye over the smoking meat, and is pleased to see that it wwill be ready by the time she leaves in the morning. After removing her gear and placing her rifle near her, she curls up on the carpet in front of the fire to get a few hours rest before she has to prepare for the long journey back to the airport.

The peaceful awakening of the town is harshly broken by the whine of decelerating jet engines above the town. the plane circles over the lake and lands parallel to shore, then taxis in to the air dock. One diner at Auntie May's is heard to mumble, "Why the frak did Félix get a jet, and not a turboprop? Damn thing whines worse than my wife."
Longshoremen manhandle the plane with haul ropes to back it into docking position, then tie it down securely. The back hatch drops and settles onto the loading bay. A service vehicle pulls up to the open hatch, towing a trailer with cargo in wooden boxes and cloth bags. The pilot dismounts from the plane, carrying a clipboard, and walks back to the loading bay. As cargo is loaded onto the plane, he checks items off on the manifest on his clipboard.
Off to the side, an enclosed passenger platform receives a trickle of people who sit with baggage, waiting to embark. A small Tim Horton's outlet next door does its usual brisk morning business of "double-double"s and donuts.

"Looks good, fellas. That's th'spirit, heavy stuff gets loaded in first. Don't go makin' us tail heavy, here. Nice work, fellas." Chase drawls out half-hearted encouragement, mostly just relieved that he's not the one having to load the shit for once. He's still not exactly riding the wave of glory like they had just after the Crash, mind, but it was nice for the smuggler to get to oversee someone else handling the manual labor for once. He's got to raise his voice over the whine of the jet engines -- loud, even just cooling down -- but it's good natured volume, not anger, that's got him going loud.
The pilot's a tall, thin, drink of water, clad in leather at his base and denim most everywhere else. Worn old leather boots give way to faded blue jeans, then a Triumph-logoed t-shirt, loose fitting red flanel, and a warm-looking denim coat with a few telltale signs of armor plating. Atop his head is a dark Stetson, the tips of his elf-pointed ears flattened out against it slightly as it rides low against the wind. Beneath the shade of his wide-brimmed hat, his skin is the weathered bronze of someone with at least half-NAN blood, and sin-dark hair spills down to his shoulders.
"Damn, boys. Y'all are workin' so hard, I'm getting hungry just watchin' ya." He cracks a white toothed grin as he check marks the last item off his manifest, then gives the laborers a matter-of-fact nod. "Nice work, fellas. Looks like we're just about set."

Vixen arrived later then she had previously expected. She wanted the full two years to get her vehicle park and gear stored on the transport before now. She suffered through another nightmare about her father. The emotional stress seem to take a lot out of her and forbade her a good nights rest that Vixen wanted. That lead to a little big of dragging about the house before she got it together and tossed everything into her vehicle and left.
Vixen skirted the speed limit enough to get there with enough time to settle exspenses to park her car and grab her gear to head for the air dock. Most of it was in her backpack and long canvas carry case she used for her weapons. The weapons were turned to the offline position so law enforcement wouldn't need to bother about why she was carrying them, and she continue to use her Celion I.D. She was just another camper going up north.

Longshot's commlink rings out, waking her from a dream of a normal life, a common one. She is slow to get up, wanting to languish on the dream, and in the heat of the fire. Eventually and with much stretching she gets up. She dresses again in her heavy snow gear, taking time to make sure no part of her is exposed. She packs up all her gear in a SmartPack, designed to distribute the weight so as to be comfortable and manageable, despite the load of survival gear contained within, not that she needed most of it, but up here, safe was always better than sorry. Her final addition is the dried meat she had been slow cooking over the fire for several days now.
As a final preparation, she retrieves another piece of meat from her cold storage basement, cooking it in the fire as she does a final check of her gear. It's about 4:30 before she is finished, most everything packed in her backpack, her gun in her hidden compartment, and some extra fuel in what counted as the trunk of her bike. The meat to be eaten on the way to the airport.
7:30, Airport
Longshot pulls up to the designated meeting spot, and figures the plane with all the bustle around it is the one she'll be riding in. A quick scan shows that the others haven't arrived yet, and so she waits about a half mile away, not wanting to interact with the other passengers more than required. Once she spots Vixen though, she drives into the airport as though just arriving herself. The denim-clad pilot whistles a nameless, idle, tune to himself as his scuffed-up boots and long legs carry him around the stacked crates in the hold. All the cargo looked as neatly packed and secure as it could be, straps were tight and didn't show much wear and tear, so the belly of the beast would be fine. He's interrupted by his commlink going off, the frantic Charlie Daniels fiddle sawing ringtone that tells him the call's not from anyone he's got programmed into his Sony Emperor's contact list. He sighs as he flips it open.
"Howdy?" he begins, though he doesn't know why he bothers. He knows who they want, and he knows full well it ain't him. Sure enough, like clockwork, comes a sob story about a jacked up transmission and kids that need to get to school and..."Yeah, listen. Yeah. Yeah. Uh-huh. Listen, I understand...I...yeah, but...hey, buddy. Buddy. Buddy! This ain't the shop, okay? Can't help you. I'm not a mechanic. What? No, listen. Buddy! Same LTG, but end it with a six instead of a five, alright? Bob'll take care of you, if you call them an' not me."
"An' tell 'em Chase sent ya!" He fights a laugh as he hollers the last bit into the phone, well away from his face and with the Sony already half-closed. It gets settled back into an interior coat pocket, and he shakes his head, sighing. The funny part was that he was a mechanic, and as often as not he was at Bob's -- or at least in the loft above it -- but that didn't mean it wasn't still irritating when his personal comm got swamped in would-be business calls.
Satisfied that the interior of the plane's fine, his boots carry him down the cargo ramp and out onto the docks. It looks like a passenger's already waiting, and raring to go. Figures. He'd known this was a legit flight, but that he had some...special...passengers, after all.

Chase exchanges pleasantries with everyone as they approach -- not so much going out of his way to do so like a stewardess might, just being a friendly fella near the plane as folks are showing up -- even if it only amounts to a curt nod with the pair of hunters. He flashes a white-toothed grin towards the little guy as he starts to machinegun questions out, laughing a little.
"Well, today we'll be cruisin' without having to go all that high, but I promise we'll go fast enough you won't wanna stick your arm out the window. Sorry to tell ya, little buddy, but I've never been a hotshot fighter pilot, but I bet you liked Nightwing Talons a whole lot, don't'cha? It's one of my favorite trid-sims, too."
"And don't worry, I've never crashed." It comes out smoothly, the not-quite-lie. Technically speaking, he hadn't crashed. Taking a drone-launched heatseeking missile into a screaming jet engine wasn't really the same as crashing, since by the time the t-bird'd hit the dark, rich, Idaho soil it had scattered into a couple thousand pieces. It didn't really count as an aircraft by the time it'd hit the ground. Snug inside his black box, Chase had tumbled and spun and rolled to a stop the better part of a mile from where the missile had caught him, and only just barely been missed by the hunter-killer's sensors, to get picked up by one of Big Uncle's tech crews. He'd wound up in a hospital for a while, and still owed money on that t-bird to this day, but...That was hardly a crash, was it? It's not like he'd just run into a tree or something. "And no plans for today to be my first, promise."
As to having ever killed anyone or not...Chase remains, gentlemanly, quite silent. Much like frantically launched chaff and flares dissuaded inbound missiles, he deflects the question by means of a well-placed distraction. "Why don't you ask your folks, see if you can't help your dad get some stuff stowed first...but then, if they say yes, I'll let you take a look at the cockpit real quick, before we take off, okay?"

The nine passengers are seated and strapped in, the cargo is loaded, the child has been toured and is suitably impressed. The pilot, Chase, proceeds through the startup sequence of the TX13. Jet engines above he fuselage whine into action. Longshoremen unhook the plane and push it away from the dock with poles. Old tech, but it works.
Chase applies a bit more power and the plane cruises out into the middle of Lake Temiskaming. He turns the craft northwards, and with a "Here we go, kid!" over the intercom, he guns the engines. The boy squeals with delight as G-forces push you all back into your seats. Almost effortlessly, the plane hurtles forward and rises into the sky, clearing the shoreline and trees no problem.
In short order, the plane is rushing over the forested landscape, heading north by northwest. A river snakes through the forest to the east of the plane. Soon, a large body of water appears to the north.
[OOC: All four of the team members in the passenger compartment, make a visual Perception Test. Awakened get +2 dice.]

Once on board Vixen settles back into her seat for the few hour flight to their job destination. She looks out the window to see everything disappearing as the plane lifts off the surface and heads for open air. It wasn't like a hard tactical take off in a hot LZ, which suited her just fine, but it brought back memories. Not all of them bad either. Once the excitement of take off was over Vixens rests her head against the seat and looks the other passengers over, amusing herself by seeing what she could pick up about them.

09:25 Saturday morning, 1 October 2072, somewhere over the trackless forest of the Canadian Shield
[OOC:Alright, then. I'm bored. Let's stir things up a bit. See if you ignore me now!]
Down and to the right of the plane, a huge bird (hard to tell how big because distances are difficult to calculate... it just feels big) is soaring and being passed by the plane. It is red-brown, and looks like an eagle. Below is forest, off to the east (right) is James Bay.
The kid notices it, too. (ravensoracle, the door handle on the emergency exit stops jiggling.) The boy plants his face right up to a window, hands on either side of the glass, supporting his weight. His hair begins to stand up from his head. Are those sparks among the strands?
Grandma is dozing. Mom is chatting up one of the hunters. The other hunter is doing something in AR and gazing off into space.
[OOC:
1) Anybody in the passenger cabin with some kind of animal identification skill, let me know the skill and what you roll with it.
2) All four PCs in the passenger cabin roll Initiative.
3) Aw, hell... Chase in the front cabin, roll a Surprise Test.]
