in my casual web searches I found a video of a conference where developers got together to discuss the future of networking, which sound very much like my interpretation of the Matrix in SR, but somewhat simplified.
its an hour and a half long, but to me its worth it

I'm at work, so can't watch it. Care to give me a bit of an idea what I'm missing out on?

essentially its an overview of current networking technologies(Cell phones, PDAs, PCs, etc.), how they interact and function, and how those technologies could be adapted to function in the future.
it goes in depth into information transfer architectures(http, ftp, ssl, Bittorrent, etc.) and securing data rather than securing pathways and distributed networking.
i found it interesting, others may find it boring
